Almost a month before Wrestlemania, my Dad tragically died suddenly due to a blood clot. Kofi winning at Wrestlemania gave me the first wave of joy I’d experienced since.
I know it's been 4 years, but my deepest condolences. My mom died of a stroke and a clot issue as well in 2023. Good to know wrestling helps us out sometimes.
I still remember watching Kofi vs Bryan at WM 35 and crying tears of joy when Kofi won. One of my favorite wrestlers growing up who was deserving of a main event run nearly a decade prior, having to be stuck in midcard and tag roles for what felt like forever and never getting HIS moment, finally getting one. I was so happy just like Kofi was
Bangers matches from 2019 that didn't get mentioned on the video: Lynch vs Asuka at R. Rumble, Banks vs Rousey at R. Rumble, Bryan vs Owens vs Ali at Fastlane, The New Day Gauntlet Match, Men's MITB Ladder Match, Lynch/Rollins vs Evans/Corbin at Ex. Rules, Lynch vs Natalya at Summer Slam, Charlotte vs Stratus at Summer Slam, Reigns vs Rowan at Clash Of Champs, Reigns vs Murphy on Smackdown, Reigns/Bryan vs Harper/Rowan at HITC, Women's Sur. Series 5-on-5, Styles vs Mysterio on Raw,...
I'll never forget how Andrade and Rey would put on classics on Smackdown also with Rey hitting a Canadian Destroyer. I just wish Vince gave them a chance at a ppv. Also three honourable mentions go to Reigns and Daniel Bryan vs The reunited Bludgeon Brothers an underrated sleeper and the other amazing tag match that was Undertaker and Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre and Shane McMahon at Extreme Rules. Who knew these two random tag matches would be a barn burning classic. And the third sleeper hit would Bobby Lashley vs Braun Strowman at Extreme Rules in a last man standing match. Both men made good due of the stipulation handed to them
The Shield had a pretty nice sendoff. Roman's run was pretty relaxed that year. It felt like a breath of fresh air. I didn't like that dog food moment at the near end of the year though.
Baron Corbin vs Roman may have been one of the worst feuds ever. No one liked Roman as a babyface at that point, and no one liked Crobin period. And it just went one. And on. and on.
The Shield's final chapter farewell match was a nice send-off for Dean Ambrose. Although I wish he could've had a match at Mania 35 before going it was still a nice thing. Man I miss Ambrose still 😢
Again here’s mine it’s mostly Nxt don’t expect to see Walter vs Tyler bate on here I haven’t seen it with all that said here’s my list 10. Adam Cole vs Daniel Bryan smackdown November 1st 9. Aj styles vs Seth Rollins money in the bank 8. Roderick strong vs Pete dunne vs the velveteen dream Nxt takeover Toronto 7. Kofi Kingston vs Daniel Bryan wrestlemania 35 6. Io shirai vs Candice lerae nxt takeover Toronto 5. Tag team ladder match nxt takeover 25 4. Black and ricochet vs war raiders nxt takeover New York 3. Undisputed era vs war raiders nxt takeover phoenix 2. Adam Cole vs Pete dunne survivor series 1. Adam Cole vs Johnny gargano Nxt takeover New York
I’d fallen off of American wrestling for a few years in the mid-2010s; 2019 was the year I started getting back into it. Initially it was because of AEW (I was still watching a lot of Japanese wrestling during this period, and Kenny Omega was one of my favorites), but then in watching some Cultaholic news videos about it I also heard about what Bray Wyatt was up to, and that was really my gateway back into WWE. Imagine my surprise, having not kept up with WWE from about mid-2013 to mid-2019, when I learned Kofi Kingston was WWE Champion.
And also,The WORST Main Event for WWE Raw Universal Championship title between Seth Rollins vs Bray The Fiend Mask Wyatt was bad Ending with Evil Laugh in the last segment turn to be bigger mistakes ever.
It is really weird that The Shield's final opponents were bunch of random dudes when there's The Club (Balor, Gallows & Anderson) on the same brand as them but the management was different back then. 😅
@@staticlegend354I believe the only reason why 2019 was my favorite year was due to not affording many PLE’s. I manly watched the matches on raw and smackdown which had some very good matches.
Kofi vs Bryan here provs that having the great story behind your match is far more important that doing a million moves and getting all the meltzer stars. This match was great and it's still so great seeing Kofi get to raise the belt after so many years.
The 2019 HIAC was basically the wife doing all the work and having fun while the husband is stuck with an unruly rascal who wouldn't stay down lmao Also, WrestleMania 35 was Daniel Bryan becoming what he hated.
WWE in 2019 was the worst year for them and not only that but to this day I still think it was the downfall of it because of the questionable booking decision and the birth of AEW

His title reign killed smackdown tho

@@moopert86I liked Roman
Adam Cole vs Pete Dunne at survivor series snubbed.
Gargano vs Cole NXT Takeover: New York
Lesnar vs Rollins at Summerslam is one of my favorite matches ever.
Same

Ambrose vs Reigns for the last time at WrestleMania 35 would have been better than Reigns vs McIntyre.

A lot of people hate 2019, and it did have bad moments, but man when it was good it was AMAZING so I love that year
I was there for the Andrade/Mysterio match!!! Had the crowd going the entire time, great bout!
Lesnar vs Rollins is one of ny favorite matches ever

I completely forgot the Hardy Boyz had the Smackdown tag titles
Mania 35 is incredibly overhated

Becky Vs Sasha is easily the best women's cell match
And also,The WORST Main Event for WWE Raw Universal Championship title between Seth Rollins vs Bray The Fiend Mask Wyatt was bad Ending with Evil Laugh in the last segment turn to be bigger mistakes ever.
Please make ppv Rankings from tna
i prayed for this
and it happened!!!!!!
Soooo when are you guys gonna give us a ranking of the 36 NXT TAKEOVER events? 👀🤞🏼
I wouldn't had the Women's TagTeam Elimination Chamber on the list.
It is really weird that The Shield's final opponents were bunch of random dudes when there's The Club (Balor, Gallows & Anderson) on the same brand as them but the management was different back then. 😅
2019 was my favorite year of wrestling, mostly because it was the peak of when I was re-interested in it.
This is rare.
For my brother was same, like he was reconnecting and it happened fully in 2019
@@staticlegend354I believe the only reason why 2019 was my favorite year was due to not affording many PLE’s. I manly watched the matches on raw and smackdown which had some very good matches.
Unfortunately after 2019 when covid hit I lost interest in it again. Does your brother still watch it?
Damn the whole year wasn't super bad but it was pretty bad. Ngl I can't believe it got you back into wrestling
Walter/Gunther being eliminated first prevents me from seeing that Survivor Series match as being a good match.

Still shouldve been number 1
Aj vs rollins and the elimination chamber matches were better
Lesnar vs Rollins at SS was a perfectly structured match.
The 69 TNA matches when
Jeeesus, Adam Cole used to look like that? What happened to him?
Matilda reference🎉😂
I bet half of this list is from survivor series
Adam I love you
My first thought of 2019 is roman vs murphy
The 2019 HIAC was basically the wife doing all the work and having fun while the husband is stuck with an unruly rascal who wouldn't stay down lmao
Also, WrestleMania 35 was Daniel Bryan becoming what he hated.
Please make a video for 2016
Gargano vs Cole
I want Mustafa Ali to win the WWE championship.
I remember watching that Kofi vs Bryan march and thinking what a lame match it was. So overhyped.
Yummy
A perfect year in the WWE before the COVID-19 pandemic a year later!!!
👏👏👏👏👏👏
The only match i enjoy in wwe doing 2019 was drew and roman, rey and Andrade and aj style and seth rollins
Jail vince
2019 was another 💩 year for WWE, much like every year's been since the end of the Attitude Era in '01.
WWE in 2019 was the worst year for them and not only that but to this day I still think it was the downfall of it because of the questionable booking decision and the birth of AEW
