Good update Steve, the buildings being placed to the front is a great idea, with trains running behind them, will make for some great scenes. Excellent work, the layout is really coming along nicely. All the best. Brian
Looking good Steve!!! My first job during and after high school was at Hollywood Auto Repair at 1028 Utica Ave, Brooklyn NY if you need a name for the shop. Secondly paint the windows on the Chevy to represent brown masking paper and paint the body to show some off color body work over the main color. This will give you a car being prepped for painting.
The garage is a nice little scene. The 3d printed car looks ideal for having a tarpaulin thrown over it. You could probably flatten the tyres with a bit of gentle heat, and maybe have the engine exposed. Use the bonnet to block the gap in your fence!
Steve, I like it! I think your idea of graduating the building height from lower to higher as you move away from the grade crossing was a good choice. Unfortunately, there is no direct city bus that runs from Brooklyn to LaGuardia airport. You need to take a subway to Queens, and then transfer to the bus (usually, the M60).
Hi Steve, nice update. You've got some nice details on that auto repair shop scene, it's looking good. Dylan is wondering if the diner will be selling Dylington Custard 😂....Cheers James 🙂👍
@thebritishrailroader excellent news Steve, will it be piped directly into the cafe from the factory 🏭 😀 or will you be wanting it delivered in barrels 😁👍
Garage looks brilliant. As a bit of a car geek, especially American cars (my Dad had a Mustang, a Barracuda and a Torino), what is the car in the garage? Also that 1950s yellow car beside the mini - a Chevy I'm guessing? I've collected a handful of 50s/60s cars for my upcoming layout build.
Certainly all coming together and swapping the diner is spot on
Cheers mate

@EmpireBeltRR cheers mate. What a great idea for the care 👍

Thanks mate

Thanks Dave, it does seem to work. Sadly you never can find the right bus for the area. I will just turn a blind eye to the destination for now
Your very good at finding all these detail parts.
The mechanics post lift must be broken if he's lying down underneath it. 😃
Thanks. I never thought about that 🤣
Very nice Steve! Love the GMC RTS bus. Iconic Replicas does a nice job.
I’m guessing that is the diner from City Classics?
It is indeed my friend. Glad you enjoyed the update
Hi Steve, nice update. You've got some nice details on that auto repair shop scene, it's looking good. Dylan is wondering if the diner will be selling Dylington Custard 😂....Cheers James 🙂👍
Absolutely, it will be exclusively Dylington custard 🤣

@@DYLINGTONMODELRAILWAY tankers 😁
@thebritishrailroader and why not we do move it around in tankers? Hopefully, they'll have the name on 😂👍

Cheers mate. The taxi is one of Oxford Diecasts HO models
