Wow! Those falls are impressive and you had them all to yourself.

Would be good to see it in full flow. It is not the easiest place to access and so it keeps the majority of tourists away. Excellent for those who can make the walk or paddle though. Thanks for watching as always, Paul

Great video paul that was some stunning views bud. Shame the wind was against you so much. But hey that’s how it is when the canoe is involved the wind just follows you around 😂

Definitely seems that way in regards to the wind, if that was a head wind on the way back, I reckon I'd of been stuck 😂

Gee Indi is such a good dog, the ultimate camping partner. Great video, you turned everything into a positive. Also thought the seals following you was cute. You certainly know how to portray the countryside.

He has his moments though 😂 but does indeed make a great companion and hot water bottle. The seals followed me almost continuously, would of got some great shots if not for the wind and waves making it difficult, counted 9 following at one point 😂
      Thanks for watching, Paul

    A great video.
I live up on the north coast and the North Highlands are very definitely my default playground. If you're ever back up here and fancy seeing some of our best coastline by kayak then give me a shout. I never need much of an excuse to get out on the sea!

Absolutely STUNNING shots of the waterfall, drone already paying off and looks like you've got a great handle of it already.
Beautiful music to complement the images and feeling.
Decent waves there on the way back, always quite unnerving when you're solo and remote!
Awesome adventure thanks for sharing, glad you filmed it!

      Cheers bro,
Honesty didn't think the little drone would even take off in the winds I had, utterly amazed by it!
Was a full on hour or so of battling a straight heading, didn't want to be side on to those waves. Doesn't look to bad on the video though, probably as I was too busy concentrating when it was at its worse 😂Poor Indy wasn't a fan.

Did this trip a couple of weeks ago. Stayed at the bothy. Under threat of poor weather and using a sail we got back to Kylesku in under an hour. Great camera work- the extra effort to do it right must be hard work.

    • @WhenNaturePauls
      @WhenNaturePauls  ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome.
I think I had my sail with me, but was a bit too windy for it, would of been ok if I didn't have the dog or the risk of losing my equipment.
Similar to me took me hours to get down the loch with a head wind, but got back in no time.
      Thank you for watching, Paul

Indies new coat, gives him some protection from the elements. I have to be careful when to button up the flap under the tail though, makes a good 💩 catcher 😂

Sat here on a night shift in dublin Airport watching yr vid, really enjoyable, so here come the questions part, how long from from kylescue to the end of Loch Beag was the paddle and from there how long was the walk to the falls

There are boat trips a few times daily from the hotel at kylesku, but it only goes to the end of Loch Beag. You'll see it but you can't get off. Or you can park and walk along to the top of the fall. I'm sure it will give you a good view but you will only see the top of the fall
