If you plan a trip to Azerbaijan, here is everything you need to know about getting an Azerbaijan Visa for Indian nationals.
➡️ Is There An Azerbaijan Visa On Arrival (VoA) For Indians?
Yes. Eligible Indian citizens can now apply for a visa on arrival at the international airports in Azerbaijan.
➡️ To be eligible for a Visa on Arrival, you must:
- Be a resident of a GCC or Gulf Cooperation Countries.
- Your GCC visa must be valid for at least 6 additional months at the time of arrival.
- If you are a Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, or Oman resident, you'd need a citizen of the respective country to apply for VoA.
- If you are a resident of the UAE, you can apply for VoA yourself.
- Carrying the notarized translation of your residence permit is advised.
- You also need travel insurance, a passport valid for 6 months, covid vaccination certificate, hotel booking, and a return flight ticket.
➡️ Is There An Azerbaijan e-Visa For Indians?
Yes. Indian citizens can apply for an Azerbaijan eVisa on the eVisa portal known as 'ASAN Visa.'
➡️ What Are The Azerbaijan Visa Cost For Indians?
- Single Entry Visa at the embassy cost: USD 20 (Approx. INR 1600)
- Multiple Entry Visa at the embassy cost: USD 350 (Approx. INR 28,000)
- Transit Visa at the embassy cost: USD 20 (Approx. INR 1600)
- Visa On Arrival cost: USD 26 (Approx. INR 2000)
- e-Visa cost: USD 26 (Approx. INR 2000)
The visa fees are non-refundable. Plus, the e-visa fees consist of USD 1 bank fee, USD 5 service fees, and USD 20 for processing the electronic visa application.
➡️ What Is The Azerbaijan Visa Processing Time?
The processing time of any visa depends on how you have applied for it.
- Online visa application takes 3 business days.
- Urgent e-Visa application takes 3 hours.
- At the embassy, it takes between 5-15 working days.
- Visa on arrival is none because you get it at the airport. Unless you consider waiting in a queue as processing time.
➡️ What Is The Validity Of An Azerbaijan Visa?
Depending on the Azerbaijan visa, it is valid for between 30 to 180 days.
- Single Entry Visa allows you to enter the country once and stay in the country for a maximum of 30 days. It is usually valid for 90 days.
- Multiple Entry Visa allows you to enter the country multiple times and stay there for a maximum of 90 days during its validity. It is usually valid for 180 days.
- A transit Visa allows you to enter the country once and stay there for a maximum of 5 days. It is usually valid for 30 days.
- The eVisa is a single entry visa valid for 90 days. You can stay in Azerbaijan for a maximum of 30 days.
- Lastly, the visa issued by the embassy is generally valid for a longer period of time.
➡️ How To Apply For Azerbaijan eVisa?
Step 1: Start The Visa Application
To start, you must first visit the Official Electronic Visa Portal and click on 'Application.' Here, you must choose your nationality, type of travel document, and the verification code to start.
Step 2: Provide The Date Of Arrival
Next, you need to choose your purpose of visit, the consideration period, and the starting date of your e-visa validity.
Step 3: Complete The Visa Application Form
You'll be asked to fill in details, such as your personal particulars, the reason for your visit, your country of residence, the duration of your stay in the date form, and so on. Afterward, you'll be asked to upload a scanned copy of your passport. Here, you can also add your family members to your application, with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 persons.
Step 4: Verify Your Email
Once you have verified all the information on the application form, you'll be prompted to confirm your email address.
Step 5: Pay The Visa Fees
After completing your application, a total of USD 26 (Approx. INR 2,000) must be paid online to secure your application. This also includes the service fee. After paying the visa fees for your Azerbaijan Visa application, you'll receive your Registration Number. After that, you'll have to wait 3 days for your application to be processed.
Step 6: Receive Your Azerbaijan Visa For Indians
Once your application has been processed and accepted after that, you'll receive an email regarding the acceptance of your Azerbaijan Visa for Indians.
Next, you can download your visa and print the visa for your trip.

They don’t. They just check Evisa and passport. But they might ask you to show you have enough money for the stay so you can show recent bank statement or something on your phone.

Hi, I plan to fly to Baku from India, however, my return flight will be from Tbilisi,Georgia and not from Azerbaijan..will this be an issue while applying for evisa? Should the return flight be from the same country I.e Azerbaijan?
Not necessary if u have georgia evisa also before boarding from india.
@@NomadBennyactually am travelling on USA visa to Georgia. It says on their website Visa is not required for holders of US visa. Hope no issues at 🇦🇿 immigration due to this as return ticket will be from 🇬🇪 and not Azb
@@MSav1988 yes if u have US visa then georgia is visa free. There will be no issues at Ajerbaijan. You can tell them ur onward flight is to georgia if they ask and show them on google georgia immigration rule where it states indians are allowed visa free entry to georgia on US visa.
They can also verify same on their system.
Officially, there should be no issue. Azerbaijan is actually quite chill in this. Georgia, less chill. So you should be fine :)

I applied the same way on the documents i upload my passport copy and after that it did not allow me to upload any other files and not even photo as well n without photo it went further and the appliaction got processed and i have paid so now will it rejected without photograph as it dint allow to upload after uploading passport

I have one question around permanent resident address on the Azerbaijan evisa application. When I tried to enter my permanent resident address as given in my passport last page, their visa system does not proceed if I enter comma(,) slash(/). I had to enter my address without any comma and slash. Did you remember experiencing the same? Prompt response will be helpful
