You brought Strelitzia’s hairpins but completely missed the most important detail about them. You only brought up the one that looks like an X, but when you put them together it makes XI which was Marluxia’s number in the Organization!!
Imagine if sora actually learned about keyblade armor. That's actually one of the coolest things Nomura has come up with and with strelitzia here, it wouldn't too farfetched to say she could teach him about it and travels through worlds on a glider. I'm actually sad it isn't used more, I want it to be.

A director and company don’t just pour millions into a throwaway ending that doesn’t mean anything. We’ve all played enough KH to know that these different endings are going to play into something important.

Regarding the symbolism of Sora's chess piece: It's directly in the middle of the board; betwixt the light and the darkness. Since the realm of fiction/unreality is devoid of both light and darkness and the phrase "the choice is yours once more" is center stage, I theorize that Sora might not just be fighting the darkness this time, but light as well, as hard as it is to imagine.
Might not be that surprising. I don't remember much of the Master oM's scenes, but one of the impressions I got was that Darkness wasn't the only problem that existed and perpetuated this "eternal war"
One thing I thought worth mentioning is that “The Lost Masters” could indeed refer to the Foretellers, but it could also refer to the ancient Keyblade Masters from the time the Master of Masters was a child. (So this may refer to Luxord and Demyx’s somebodies for example)
@@zero5559 Lol that theory would be hilarious if true, but it’s pretty much confirmed that the MoM has been chilling in unreality for some time, so it wouldn’t really make sense for him to travel between universes and pretend to be a different person.
Sora tapping into the darkness would be really cool to see. Darkness and it’s powers in the KH universe aren’t inherently bad and can be used for good, and for a character like Sora, being able to balance light and darkness in battle would be extremely useful.
@@nobodybroda3826 Sora's had that tie to darkness for a long time though. The anti-forms and darker form changes in 3 show a subtle change and it would be cool to see it actually brought up for once
@@nobodybroda3826 this is true, however, I believe through Sora’s experiences he could tap into the darkness. We know he isn’t all light because of anti form, when he was turned into a heartless, etc. something could happen in this game that gets him to use it.
Plus Anti Form though a gameplay mechanic, represents Sora's lust for more power through abuse of the Drive Form abilities, while Rage Form represents I wanna say his will to survive when he's taken enough damage in battle.
I think the Quadratum and 104 building we see in the Yozora boss fight in KH3 is an illusion created by his artifical sun thing that he uses. We see the city boot up almost like a simulation. Also, the wind starts blowing when the city illusion is fully loaded up, and we see the artificial sun create strong gusts of wind later in the fight. Yozora uses illusions throughout the entire fight, and it would make sense to project a battlefield that confuses his opponents and makes him feel more at home.
9:45 another thing to note is that Disney uses Unreal Engine for the sets for the Starwars shows, so many Starwars environments could be imported and quality reduced to run on consoles, perhaps being why a Star Wars environment would be the first ultra high quality environment they'd show in a trailer EDIT: To add some more detail to this, here are some reasons they use this instead of a green screen: 1. It lets the actors have a better idea of what they're actually doing in context 2. The director can move cameras and see the impact in real time rather than not knowing until the edit 3. Saves time for a TV production as chroma key can be difficult to get right, especially quickly

29:10 also, watch this attack slowly, the drill is formed from a bunch of keychains merging into the drill. I have another theory that this keychain is going to be the source of Sora’s power, since we now have 2 things he uses it for (the grapple chain being the other)
true if you look frame by frame around 29:12 through 29:15 you can see the keychain detach ( through the many particle effects) at least i think, its hard to tell because shortly after its reattaches, also the keyblade itself Does Not disappear during that time at all, it is still swirling around in the particle effects its just really hard to see it some frames. the keychain is almost certainly more important than in previous titles as it seems it will be more than changing apparencies
It feels really nice, that even for the 20th anniversary I still feel the absolute hype that I felt for KH3. The series and all of us might get older but I sure do love some freaking out over KH trailers :)
I got into KH through a classmate bragging about how good it was, so I gave it a try. then the KH3 trailers started rolling out, I'm glad this time that they are pretty much going straight to KH 4, exciting to watch your reaction to the trailers and you doing a in depth discussion. great content as always my man
Just to let you know that this takes place after MOM so sora is Should be 1 or 2 years older so he would be 17 or 18 and I think this scene takes place later in the game, I can imagine that every time he travels into a new world he spends 7 days asleep, Simular to Notucs Sleeping in verses 13. So I think he spends that time trying to find others via dreams.
I'm yet to see anyone really acknowledge the "7 days" that sora spent asleep cause I feel like it's also a reference to Roxas and his last seven days of summer vacation or his first seven days in the organization. When I heard it I immediately made that connection. I just really can't wait to see Roxas. Also Axel, Xion, and everyone else but especially Roxas.
As for the multiple timelines thing with the endings to the yozora fight, Nomura actually cleared that up in the q&a during the 20th event, when asked about it, he said the team knew players would be dying a lot to during the fight, so they wanted to give them something to watch as well. Based on his response it really does seem like they might have just put it in with no greater significance after all
Iirc dataminers found out the ending where you win is called "trueend" in the files. So maybe the twist will be that Sora's new look is how he looks in Yozora's body. After all sora is supposedly "dead" and if he truly is gone, he'd need a body to move around in. Maybe he took Yozora's body by accident after he wins against him and doesn't realize it. Maybe that'll be this game's big twist.
Prediction: We will get to new worlds by the same method Yozora used to see Sora. At he end of the fight, Yozora wakes up in the back of a car and Luxord says "Impressive, is it not?" implying that some sort of technology (VR maybe?) was used to send Yozora, or at least his mind/heart, into another world. So I bet that is how we will get to different worlds if this all really does JUST take place in Quadratum.
I dunno, I think we would have seen some kind of tech on Yozora to further support that. I always thought Luxord meant the city they were in, talking about how beautiful it was.

Did we forget that in ReMind, Riku states that it been a year since Sora disappeared before doing the data fights? This is when MoM is also taking place cuz they mentioned Kairi's way of looking for Sora. So while yes he's been sleep on that couch for a week, but a year has passed at this point
Kingdom hearts is my childhood as I get older and the fact sora looks mature gives me the nostalgia and connection. I can’t wait for this game to release.
Considering how the drill attack is formed, "Build" could be referring to forming objects out of light and darkness. If you look closely at the drill, it seems like Sora is using his power as the base and taking shreds of darkness from the Darkside to form the sharp bits. After the initial impact, parts of the hand blast off and look to be fusing with the attack.
I imagine build in the hud might mean like a class type from final fantasy. Like a dragoon build would give you something like Xaldins moves with the lance and maybe some spirit armor. That would be so hype
The keyblade probly isn't supposed to exist in quadratum. Perhaps just by existing, the keyblade draws the heartless to it. That might be another reason why the MoM gave up his keyblade before going there. It's possible the MoM has been waiting for someone(sora) to bring a keyblade in from the outside.
This game has the potential to be the first numbered kingdom hearts game where Donald and goofy don’t travel alongside sora for at least the majority of the game. it feels too soon for them to find sora, and I kinda want to see them focus more on the kingdom hearts original characters accompanying sora instead of the Disney ones. If Donald and Goofy do join sora, I’d imagine they’d use similar art style to Detective Pikachu and Sonic for incorporating Donald and Goofy into the realistic environments.

Great I don't want that and I think there is a good reason square put them at the end of trailer, I think they are going to find their way to Sora early in the game and I think Auron will be how they find their own way in.

But the reason I think their looking for Auron is because they know he died but they don't know what world he came from and since nomura never really went into detail about that I could totally see him using Auron as a link to quatratum or the universe that world is in like the fairy god mother was. However it happens I do think it's going to be the same as 1 where Sora's going to meet up with them early in the game to bring it full circle.
Sora being in a purgatory type world of the afterlife. That’s an interesting way to put it as the setting for Quandratum. The world between life and death. I believe that we’ll be able to uncover the secrets. And looking forward to seeing familiar and new faces. I like the concept of characters being connected to each other. Or old concepts like versus xiii becoming a fusion to the KH series. ☺️
I think the opening monologue is also Nomuras way of communicating with those of us who were disappointed with the KHIII ending. I.e. if you were disappointed with the ending, there are endless options for other games to play, but you will be missing out on the next phase of KH

Here's a thought: Sterlitizia might have only been in Quadratum for at least 2 years. If 7 days in unreality equal to that of a year in reality and if Strelitzia has been "dead" for 100 years, then 100 years=100 weeks. There are 52 weeks in a year. Coming to the conclusion that she's only been in Quadratum for around 2 years.

@@Hannykinz20 There have to be a lot more than just 100 years between the end of Uχ and Dark Road since Ephemer woke up in the rubbles of the destroyed Daybreak Town and in the Missing Link trailer the narrator says that the society had been grown for a very long time and that there is a substantial number of people living in Scala during the future-time Brain was sent to. Like you said, it'd been at least 2 years for Strelitzia in Quadratum but knowing Kingdom Hearts she probably ended up on 52137 in-between stops before she arrived, unless she and Sora don't age there since they are technically dead.
What I find weird saying the "Lost Master Arc" refers to the foretellers from Union. It clearly says "Lost Master" and not the plural, meaning in my mind, that it refers to either the Master of Masters himself or Ava who was the only one "lost" from the after credit scene from kh3.

The fact that he was going to originally call it Verum Rex tells me that just the overall feel and standard of worlds May be completely different. If he was bout to call the game a completely different name I feel like that Disney world exploration isn’t going to be a main focus at all. I really applaud tetsuya for being one of the few heads I know to totally change the vibe of games to adhere to the ongoing story. Idk many games that progress like kingdom hearts
The narrator voice in the intro sounds the closest to Ira's japanese voice among the foretellers. Though it also sounded like Brain's voice , do probably Luxu in Brain's body Also height wise Sora still looks like he is 16, if we put him into ffxiii he might just be llike a bit taller than Hope. Age wise Sora is about the same age as the FF type 0 character and most of those guy are tall as towers like Rikku. Even in the new trailer Sora is just a bit taller than Sterlitzia which is like just about the same height as Kairi, so it seems Sora is still the same height and that's juat the new aesthetic fooling peoples height or age perception
I agree, I think it's just an artstyle change/graphical upgrade. At most he has aged 1 year, since that is what Re:mind told us about how long he's been gone.
Wasn't it said somewhere that in unreality, Light and Darkness don't hold sway the way it does in the normal KH universe? Chirithy told Sora at the beginning of Re:Mind that he would lose his powers as a result of misusing the Power of Waking
I don’t think Sora is older in this game. Maybe his design just looks more realistic because he’s in Quadratum. He almost resembles Yozora. I wonder if Sora and Yozora swapped places?🤔

Basically the same amount of time between every main title kingdom hearts, so like in KH1 from KH2 he aged a year that’s why he looks so different, hence why he looks different every kingdom hearts numbered game. Still tho my favorite Sora design is KH2. In KH2 he looks really American and now he looks completely Asian lol. No hate on him looking Asian but just sometimes I don’t like his new face design lol.
Based on the trailer, if the "Afterworld" of the Kingdom Hearts Reality is Quadratum/Unreality, then maybe that concept can be applied vice versa. So the "Afterworld" of people in Quadratum/Unreality is the Kingdom Hearts Reality. It might explain why Yozora's attempt to "save" Sora was going after his life, maybe he was trying to get him back to his world. Feel free to debunk this, it just popped in my head, and I haven't played the games in a few months. (I haven't finished watching Cynical's video either at the time of writing this)
You mentioned Quadratum is most likely the first world. Yes, BUT maybe there is another prologue where we play as a different character. I always enjoyed those.
Why do I have this feeling, that Sora will interact with Disney Characters, as Cartoons stuck inside a TV. In some kind of 4th wall breaking, like the universe is a video game like in Star Ocean 3 .
When I was about 10, I looked up kingdom hearts 3 on the internet for the first time. I wanted to know how sora's journey continued. There wasn't more than a KH3 teaser by then. I then discovered this channel, and I watched every single video, I was so excited, having a trailer drop was like the happiest day of my life, I had so many theories. Now I'm 20, and the cycle starts again. I can't say I'm as excited, but still, kh4 has reawakened a little flame in my heart. Here we go!!
I think the endless possibilities include stuff outside of Disney Animations and possible other Square Enix properties that are appropriate to show in Kingdom Hearts like other Final Fantasy based worlds, Nier based world, Dragon Quest based world, Chrono Trigger based world, etc.
I think the "build" command is definitely supposed to be for making light constructs, for all the reasons you said. Even when you look at the giant circle and crown that appears when Sora guards, it does seem like an actual object being conjured as opposed to an element of the UI
After letting my feelings settle on FF characters not being in KH3, I've come to the conclusion that Disney characters are also not needed in KH4 at this point. I feel there's enough solid lore around KH now they can drop the other worldly IPs and focus on Nomura's narrative. I hope they keep the core characters that revolve around Sora and the gang of course but going to other worlds didn't even feel necessary in kh3, they mostly felt like filler and I just wanted to know more about the core KH characters. BUT I do think a star wars tie in would be pretty legit since both stories are constantly talking about the battle of light and darkness and I think Luke in Episode 6 would relate pretty well to Sora at this time.
The world's haven't really had any relevance after the first game, and have just been watered down versions of the movie plot with zero ties to the overall plot. It seemed like they tried fixing that in 3, but it didn't really work as well as it could have.
i highly doubt they’ll get rid of disney entirely. disney technically owns kingdom hearts and disney being a pretty money hungry company in recent years (probably forced nomura to put frozen in kh3), they won’t allow that to happen. seems like they actually care about kingdom hearts now seeing how popular it is!!

Maybe Sora will finally get his armor and Keyblade vehicle for world travel, he’s seen Terra Aqua and Vens armor not the vehicle though… Idk probably not the armor, maybe just the Keyblade transforms? Or Strelitzia knows a way to go to other worlds? She could world hop in Union X.
29:30 maybe "build" might be referring to a mechanic where you can switch the way you attack like stances ik Nioh. For example: - strength build has high damage but slow movement and combos with maybe a hammer keyblade transformation - dexterity build less damage but uses speed and evasion to pull off quick combos with maybe a dual wield transformation These builds might be more useful against certain types of enemies (strength against big enemies and dexterity against small fry like shadows) They might also influence your ability to use certain spells or moves. If they pull this off, I think it might make the gameplay a lot more interesting and in depth.

When you look at the chess piece of Sora and the "choice" he has to do, I think it might have a link with the relationship between MoM and Xehanort. I don't remember everything that happened between the two of them, how they met etc.... (even if we'll know more in august). We know that after his journey, young xehanort decided to make a choice and it had an influence for the rest of his life and led him to master the darkness. Maybe sora will be put into the same situation as xehanort ?

EX stands for extra in this case extra energy pool I hope we get some interesting abilities maybe something like drive will return 🤔 maybe though I hope it's shot lock because we already have forms and other such abilities.
I believe the health bar being so big and sora being able to use these crazy attacks at what should be close to the beginning of the game is probably the “tutorial” area where the game teaches you stuff and maybe sora is in the process of losing his powers but he doesn’t lose them all quite yet along with his huge health bar until this area is beaten and he wakes up somewhere else leaving lost his powers or something along those lines.
I think one thing to notice about Sora when going through the mainline KH games is that he integrates his moves from the previous game into his base (relatively basic) combos. So potentially we may be “building” based on the keyblade transformations from KH3.
I think something that makes the DARKSIDE feel semi out of place for me is the fact that it doesn't have a shadow since it is quite literally a shadow 😂
It is exactly because Darkside is a shadow, that it doesn't has shadow, because Darkside itself is the shadow ... You can't expect a shadow to have a shadow, a darkness of the darkness, a two folds darknesses, right ? ... either that, or it's just technical stuff lol ...

Actually I think what alot of people are overlooking is that its called "The Lost Master Arc" Master as in singular, referring to EITHER Sora (whom was lost after the events of KH3) or MoM (whos been "gone" since forever)

wild take is that KH4 is a retelling of the story Nomura wanted to tell with Versus XIII. hence the overt references in KH3, and also why Sora gets crystallised when he's defeated by Yozora. and if you look closely in the Shibuya scene you can se a sign by the D-eater shoplight saying Fabula (Nova Crystallis). sleep was also a heavy theme in Versus XIII.
I don't think it's a situation where time in Quadratum flows differently, but more so we're assuming that Sora went to Quadratum shortly after fighting Yozora. I think this fight actually takes place perhaps before the time skip where Riku and Kairi go to the Final World and learn about Quadratum and Sora then spends a year in the final world before finally finding a path through. This would more easily explain why he looks older in this new trailer but then we get to Strelitzia, who despite having died in the age of Fairy Tales, is looking pretty young despite the fact she came from a different timeline, the only thing I can think of to explain this is her heart must've been sent forward in time as her body, for some reason in a white hood was somehow preserved and brought to Quadratum to perhaps fulfill this purpose. Either that or maybe it's more like she said and Quadratum acts as an After World and people who come their from reality don't age, again, my theory is that Sora spent a year in the Final World before going to Quadratum.
My aunt said that it’s a world of death,in remind yuzora said he was saving sora he was trying to save him from death but…I think he did not realize that he already brought sora there and the girl said something about afterlife. So I think that that would “help” you or tell you imformation

Xehanort used to be the player of UX. Strelitzia used to have a crush on the player. I wouldn't be surprised if Young Xehanort makes a reappearance and they get together finally. I feel like I remember someone saying the VA or character of Young Xehanort would return, but I can't quite remember.

I think the absence of Donald and goofy, Art style change, and maybe even no longer gummy ship world traversal as maybe all the different Disney properties will reside in one world and be zones you can easily walk to. I think the series has to evolve I know everyone scared but we aren’t in the ps2 days anymore
I totally agree with the suspense of the Organization members in KH2 and them revealing their identities. Love that’s they’re doing something similar for KH4, but on the other hand we also know some things about the Foretellers

What if instead of other worlds. It’s actually other cities within “quadratum”. Like this world is so close to what our reality is that “other worldly” things just aren’t really a day to day thing that’s normal, such as seeing a heartless. So maybe it’s not other worlds. Maybe he’s really stuck here, so where else to go beside outward and around to other parts of the world he’s in, I can totally see sora taking a train or something cutscene related as forms of transportation/fast travel to these cities or “other worlds” just a possible concept idea if they are going for like an even more open expanded world building compared to KH3.
the air step could be there and the hook could be like a zip in spiderman it dewpends on how they handle movement freedom like can we go up roofs and just jump like in big hero 6 map, it just depends on what they do
Jared I think this scenes will be gameplay, I think it's gonna be like something that God of war does where you have to press certain buttons or button in time as sora does his parkour cause it looks like he's waiting for you to press a button when he's about to whip hook and etc

I was always annoyed that the armor wasn't incorporated into the combat. Would've been a really dope defensive option with some tradeoffs of course.

Regarding the symbolism of Sora's chess piece: It's directly in the middle of the board; betwixt the light and the darkness. Since the realm of fiction/unreality is devoid of both light and darkness and the phrase "the choice is yours once more" is center stage, I theorize that Sora might not just be fighting the darkness this time, but light as well, as hard as it is to imagine.
Might not be that surprising. I don't remember much of the Master oM's scenes, but one of the impressions I got was that Darkness wasn't the only problem that existed and perpetuated this "eternal war"

Sora tapping into the darkness would be really cool to see. Darkness and it’s powers in the KH universe aren’t inherently bad and can be used for good, and for a character like Sora, being able to balance light and darkness in battle would be extremely useful.
Isn't that more Riku's gimmick, a bridge between light and darkness? Sora seems much more an innocent soul on the side of light.

@@nobodybroda3826 this is true, however, I believe through Sora’s experiences he could tap into the darkness. We know he isn’t all light because of anti form, when he was turned into a heartless, etc. something could happen in this game that gets him to use it.
Could probably learn about balancing light and dark in the star wars universe.
Plus Anti Form though a gameplay mechanic, represents Sora's lust for more power through abuse of the Drive Form abilities, while Rage Form represents I wanna say his will to survive when he's taken enough damage in battle.
I think the Quadratum and 104 building we see in the Yozora boss fight in KH3 is an illusion created by his artifical sun thing that he uses. We see the city boot up almost like a simulation. Also, the wind starts blowing when the city illusion is fully loaded up, and we see the artificial sun create strong gusts of wind later in the fight. Yozora uses illusions throughout the entire fight, and it would make sense to project a battlefield that confuses his opponents and makes him feel more at home.
9:45 another thing to note is that Disney uses Unreal Engine for the sets for the Starwars shows, so many Starwars environments could be imported and quality reduced to run on consoles, perhaps being why a Star Wars environment would be the first ultra high quality environment they'd show in a trailer
EDIT: To add some more detail to this, here are some reasons they use this instead of a green screen:
1. It lets the actors have a better idea of what they're actually doing in context
2. The director can move cameras and see the impact in real time rather than not knowing until the edit
3. Saves time for a TV production as chroma key can be difficult to get right, especially quickly

true if you look frame by frame around 29:12 through 29:15 you can see the keychain detach ( through the many particle effects) at least i think, its hard to tell because shortly after its reattaches, also the keyblade itself Does Not disappear during that time at all, it is still swirling around in the particle effects its just really hard to see it some frames. the keychain is almost certainly more important than in previous titles as it seems it will be more than changing apparencies

Just to let you know that this takes place after MOM so sora is Should be 1 or 2 years older so he would be 17 or 18 and I think this scene takes place later in the game, I can imagine that every time he travels into a new world he spends 7 days asleep, Simular to Notucs Sleeping in verses 13. So I think he spends that time trying to find others via dreams.

As for the multiple timelines thing with the endings to the yozora fight, Nomura actually cleared that up in the q&a during the 20th event, when asked about it, he said the team knew players would be dying a lot to during the fight, so they wanted to give them something to watch as well. Based on his response it really does seem like they might have just put it in with no greater significance after all

Iirc dataminers found out the ending where you win is called "trueend" in the files. So maybe the twist will be that Sora's new look is how he looks in Yozora's body. After all sora is supposedly "dead" and if he truly is gone, he'd need a body to move around in.
Maybe he took Yozora's body by accident after he wins against him and doesn't realize it. Maybe that'll be this game's big twist.

Prediction: We will get to new worlds by the same method Yozora used to see Sora. At he end of the fight, Yozora wakes up in the back of a car and Luxord says "Impressive, is it not?" implying that some sort of technology (VR maybe?) was used to send Yozora, or at least his mind/heart, into another world. So I bet that is how we will get to different worlds if this all really does JUST take place in Quadratum.
I dunno, I think we would have seen some kind of tech on Yozora to further support that. I always thought Luxord meant the city they were in, talking about how beautiful it was.

Considering how the drill attack is formed, "Build" could be referring to forming objects out of light and darkness. If you look closely at the drill, it seems like Sora is using his power as the base and taking shreds of darkness from the Darkside to form the sharp bits. After the initial impact, parts of the hand blast off and look to be fusing with the attack.

I imagine build in the hud might mean like a class type from final fantasy. Like a dragoon build would give you something like Xaldins moves with the lance and maybe some spirit armor. That would be so hype
The keyblade probly isn't supposed to exist in quadratum. Perhaps just by existing, the keyblade draws the heartless to it. That might be another reason why the MoM gave up his keyblade before going there. It's possible the MoM has been waiting for someone(sora) to bring a keyblade in from the outside.
This game has the potential to be the first numbered kingdom hearts game where Donald and goofy don’t travel alongside sora for at least the majority of the game. it feels too soon for them to find sora, and I kinda want to see them focus more on the kingdom hearts original characters accompanying sora instead of the Disney ones.
If Donald and Goofy do join sora, I’d imagine they’d use similar art style to Detective Pikachu and Sonic for incorporating Donald and Goofy into the realistic environments.

But the reason I think their looking for Auron is because they know he died but they don't know what world he came from and since nomura never really went into detail about that I could totally see him using Auron as a link to quatratum or the universe that world is in like the fairy god mother was. However it happens I do think it's going to be the same as 1 where Sora's going to meet up with them early in the game to bring it full circle.

I think the opening monologue is also Nomuras way of communicating with those of us who were disappointed with the KHIII ending. I.e. if you were disappointed with the ending, there are endless options for other games to play, but you will be missing out on the next phase of KH

Here's a thought: Sterlitizia might have only been in Quadratum for at least 2 years. If 7 days in unreality equal to that of a year in reality and if Strelitzia has been "dead" for 100 years, then 100 years=100 weeks. There are 52 weeks in a year. Coming to the conclusion that she's only been in Quadratum for around 2 years.

Like you said, it'd been at least 2 years for Strelitzia in Quadratum but knowing Kingdom Hearts she probably ended up on 52137 in-between stops before she arrived, unless she and Sora don't age there since they are technically dead.

The fact that he was going to originally call it Verum Rex tells me that just the overall feel and standard of worlds May be completely different. If he was bout to call the game a completely different name I feel like that Disney world exploration isn’t going to be a main focus at all. I really applaud tetsuya for being one of the few heads I know to totally change the vibe of games to adhere to the ongoing story. Idk many games that progress like kingdom hearts

Age wise Sora is about the same age as the FF type 0 character and most of those guy are tall as towers like Rikku.
Even in the new trailer Sora is just a bit taller than Sterlitzia which is like just about the same height as Kairi, so it seems Sora is still the same height and that's juat the new aesthetic fooling peoples height or age perception

Basically the same amount of time between every main title kingdom hearts, so like in KH1 from KH2 he aged a year that’s why he looks so different, hence why he looks different every kingdom hearts numbered game. Still tho my favorite Sora design is KH2. In KH2 he looks really American and now he looks completely Asian lol. No hate on him looking Asian but just sometimes I don’t like his new face design lol.

Based on the trailer, if the "Afterworld" of the Kingdom Hearts Reality is Quadratum/Unreality, then maybe that concept can be applied vice versa. So the "Afterworld" of people in Quadratum/Unreality is the Kingdom Hearts Reality. It might explain why Yozora's attempt to "save" Sora was going after his life, maybe he was trying to get him back to his world.
Feel free to debunk this, it just popped in my head, and I haven't played the games in a few months. (I haven't finished watching Cynical's video either at the time of writing this)

Why do I have this feeling, that Sora will interact with Disney Characters, as Cartoons stuck inside a TV. In some kind of 4th wall breaking, like the universe is a video game like in Star Ocean 3 .
When I was about 10, I looked up kingdom hearts 3 on the internet for the first time. I wanted to know how sora's journey continued. There wasn't more than a KH3 teaser by then. I then discovered this channel, and I watched every single video, I was so excited, having a trailer drop was like the happiest day of my life, I had so many theories. Now I'm 20, and the cycle starts again. I can't say I'm as excited, but still, kh4 has reawakened a little flame in my heart. Here we go!!

I think the endless possibilities include stuff outside of Disney Animations and possible other Square Enix properties that are appropriate to show in Kingdom Hearts like other Final Fantasy based worlds, Nier based world, Dragon Quest based world, Chrono Trigger based world, etc.

I think the "build" command is definitely supposed to be for making light constructs, for all the reasons you said. Even when you look at the giant circle and crown that appears when Sora guards, it does seem like an actual object being conjured as opposed to an element of the UI
After letting my feelings settle on FF characters not being in KH3, I've come to the conclusion that Disney characters are also not needed in KH4 at this point. I feel there's enough solid lore around KH now they can drop the other worldly IPs and focus on Nomura's narrative. I hope they keep the core characters that revolve around Sora and the gang of course but going to other worlds didn't even feel necessary in kh3, they mostly felt like filler and I just wanted to know more about the core KH characters. BUT I do think a star wars tie in would be pretty legit since both stories are constantly talking about the battle of light and darkness and I think Luke in Episode 6 would relate pretty well to Sora at this time.
The world's haven't really had any relevance after the first game, and have just been watered down versions of the movie plot with zero ties to the overall plot. It seemed like they tried fixing that in 3, but it didn't really work as well as it could have.
i highly doubt they’ll get rid of disney entirely. disney technically owns kingdom hearts and disney being a pretty money hungry company in recent years (probably forced nomura to put frozen in kh3), they won’t allow that to happen. seems like they actually care about kingdom hearts now seeing how popular it is!!

Maybe Sora will finally get his armor and Keyblade vehicle for world travel, he’s seen Terra Aqua and Vens armor not the vehicle though… Idk probably not the armor, maybe just the Keyblade transforms? Or Strelitzia knows a way to go to other worlds? She could world hop in Union X.
The grapple hook is separate from the chain, you can see both separately
29:30 maybe "build" might be referring to a mechanic where you can switch the way you attack like stances ik Nioh. For example:
- strength build
has high damage but slow movement and combos with maybe a hammer keyblade transformation
- dexterity build
less damage but uses speed and evasion to pull off quick combos with maybe a dual wield transformation
These builds might be more useful against certain types of enemies (strength against big enemies and dexterity against small fry like shadows)
They might also influence your ability to use certain spells or moves.
If they pull this off, I think it might make the gameplay a lot more interesting and in depth.
I can already imagine if the whole gang arrives in quadratum and they're all just DRIPPIN

When you look at the chess piece of Sora and the "choice" he has to do, I think it might have a link with the relationship between MoM and Xehanort. I don't remember everything that happened between the two of them, how they met etc.... (even if we'll know more in august). We know that after his journey, young xehanort decided to make a choice and it had an influence for the rest of his life and led him to master the darkness. Maybe sora will be put into the same situation as xehanort ?

I believe the health bar being so big and sora being able to use these crazy attacks at what should be close to the beginning of the game is probably the “tutorial” area where the game teaches you stuff and maybe sora is in the process of losing his powers but he doesn’t lose them all quite yet along with his huge health bar until this area is beaten and he wakes up somewhere else leaving lost his powers or something along those lines.
Sora should be able to summon Bahamut to go with his new quadratum style.
I think one thing to notice about Sora when going through the mainline KH games is that he integrates his moves from the previous game into his base (relatively basic) combos. So potentially we may be “building” based on the keyblade transformations from KH3.
I think something that makes the DARKSIDE feel semi out of place for me is the fact that it doesn't have a shadow since it is quite literally a shadow 😂
It is exactly because Darkside is a shadow, that it doesn't has shadow, because Darkside itself is the shadow ... You can't expect a shadow to have a shadow, a darkness of the darkness, a two folds darknesses, right ? ...

Actually I think what alot of people are overlooking is that its called "The Lost Master Arc" Master as in singular, referring to EITHER Sora (whom was lost after the events of KH3) or MoM (whos been "gone" since forever)

wild take is that KH4 is a retelling of the story Nomura wanted to tell with Versus XIII. hence the overt references in KH3, and also why Sora gets crystallised when he's defeated by Yozora. and if you look closely in the Shibuya scene you can se a sign by the D-eater shoplight saying Fabula (Nova Crystallis). sleep was also a heavy theme in Versus XIII.
I don't think it's a situation where time in Quadratum flows differently, but more so we're assuming that Sora went to Quadratum shortly after fighting Yozora.
I think this fight actually takes place perhaps before the time skip where Riku and Kairi go to the Final World and learn about Quadratum and Sora then spends a year in the final world before finally finding a path through.
This would more easily explain why he looks older in this new trailer but then we get to Strelitzia, who despite having died in the age of Fairy Tales, is looking pretty young despite the fact she came from a different timeline, the only thing I can think of to explain this is her heart must've been sent forward in time as her body, for some reason in a white hood was somehow preserved and brought to Quadratum to perhaps fulfill this purpose.
Either that or maybe it's more like she said and Quadratum acts as an After World and people who come their from reality don't age, again, my theory is that Sora spent a year in the Final World before going to Quadratum.
My aunt said that it’s a world of death,in remind yuzora said he was saving sora he was trying to save him from death but…I think he did not realize that he already brought sora there and the girl said something about afterlife. So I think that that would “help” you or tell you imformation

Xehanort used to be the player of UX. Strelitzia used to have a crush on the player. I wouldn't be surprised if Young Xehanort makes a reappearance and they get together finally. I feel like I remember someone saying the VA or character of Young Xehanort would return, but I can't quite remember.

I think the absence of Donald and goofy, Art style change, and maybe even no longer gummy ship world traversal as maybe all the different Disney properties will reside in one world and be zones you can easily walk to. I think the series has to evolve I know everyone scared but we aren’t in the ps2 days anymore
I think Donald and Goofy will find a way to Quadratum fairly early on in the game. You can't make it a numbered Kingdom Hearts title without the trio.
I totally agree with the suspense of the Organization members in KH2 and them revealing their identities. Love that’s they’re doing something similar for KH4, but on the other hand we also know some things about the Foretellers

What if instead of other worlds. It’s actually other cities within “quadratum”. Like this world is so close to what our reality is that “other worldly” things just aren’t really a day to day thing that’s normal, such as seeing a heartless. So maybe it’s not other worlds. Maybe he’s really stuck here, so where else to go beside outward and around to other parts of the world he’s in, I can totally see sora taking a train or something cutscene related as forms of transportation/fast travel to these cities or “other worlds” just a possible concept idea if they are going for like an even more open expanded world building compared to KH3.
the air step could be there and the hook could be like a zip in spiderman it dewpends on how they handle movement freedom like can we go up roofs and just jump like in big hero 6 map, it just depends on what they do
Jared I think this scenes will be gameplay, I think it's gonna be like something that God of war does where you have to press certain buttons or button in time as sora does his parkour cause it looks like he's waiting for you to press a button when he's about to whip hook and etc

@TheGamersJoint not gonna lie i wish the series just continued to look real like this throught out the rest of the series it would of been amazing to see it stay like this but all well and i'm glad there listening to us and bringing back reaction commands because iv'e missed them and sora possibly learning from yozora is cool!!!! imagine if the graphics in sora's reality will be permenantly touched up to look like the render when your fighting yozora!!!!
The pins in Strelitzia's hair could be a reference to Marluxia being number XI in the organization.
Sora was probably drifting in the darkness for 1 year, reached quadratum, bought some drip, passed out and woke up in that room.
