Putting your hair in a ponytail and sawing through it definitely leaves an uneven, it was fortunate that your brother was able to get it straightened out for you.

Yeah... in the video I couldn’t hide a half face of regret after that first snip. In my experience I definitely recommend getting professionally cut .... the lockdown is over in California anyways :P

I’ve had my hair in a ponytail with a straight fringe for years, my hair is very thin and ends are dry and dead. I want to cut my hair into a short straight Bob to help regrow and thicken my hair again #advice

If you feel confident in your ability to cut your hair yourself, I say go for it, but given that this is a drastic cut you may want to get a professional to cut it. I opted to cut it myself because the lockdown was still going on in California.
