Awe-inspiring. Thanks so much to Chuck Rozanski for being an absolute titan of comics retailing and caring so much about the medium. Truly one of a kind, and never to be taken for granted.
Amazing. I have not seen anything even remotely as big. I have bought from MCH for many years, and they have NEVER disapointed me. That feeling when you cut the tape on the Box and start to unpack. I'm a Comic Nerd, and proud.
Same here, started in the early 90's...unfortunately, not a current subscriber, but this is my go-to source when looking for something. I ran our of storage space and other life priorities took over. Almost at a point where I can re-organize and enjoy my collection again. :)
Chuck.... Your Store is HUGE. Hope to visit your comic shop one day..... I'll be 56 years of age... this year... Like the fact that you have comics for the poor working folks... You haven't forgotten your roots... my man... FYI... On my 14th birthday in 1972... my working mom gave me $20... I purchased Tales of Suspense 39 for $13.. TOS #40 for $5...and TOS #41 for $2.. I think Action #1 and Detective 27 was going for $300-$400..at the time... Way out of my budget.... LOL...
It's a very good use of the warehouse, but it isn't nearly complete as some would think. Still it's fun to go through the files and see six copies of the same issue of a comic in more or less the same shape, randomly priced all over the place. So I guess I do recommend checking it out if you are in Denver, but it is not my favorite comic store.
Chuck is a Mile above his contemporaries/competitors here in Colorado. MHC website has millions of awsomeness just waiting for you to make an order. Filling the holes in my collection is as easy as pressing the proceed w/order button.
Make a video about your personal collection. Also, is there a special area or private room where you keep the special gold and silver age books for the higher end collector's?
Actually, comics in Mile High are freaking pricey. I saw a video where one issue was $360. I ain't joking. I have 40 something of comics, and I just started collecting. I get 3 issues, no matter if it is gold, bronze, or silver or limited edition, I get 3 issues for $1.20. I buy them at the dollar store XD. I am a huge comic fan. And you know why am I buying comics in the dollar store? Because when I have a lot, I will sell them at Mile High Comics and I would get rich >:D, if Mile high Comics gives you a lot of money LAWL.
Certainly worth the trip. Chuck has built a true monument of fandom and appreciation.
loved it can't wait to come and see your other building
