Thanks to this deck(with one minor change) I have reached Legend for the first time in my life - and I've been playing since Dr.Boom has been the most powerful Legendary but I was usually playing with mostly fun decks and it was for the first time when I decided to push this month. Thank you Roffle for inspiring me to discard my hand all the way up to legend! I only swapped Hand of Guldan for High Priestess Jeklik for more consistend Expired Merchant to Soul Barrage.
This proves that the game requires very little skill. The fact that someone as bad as you can use this busted deck to hit Legend no offense, if you haven't hit Legend since the Dr.Boom days, you're very bad at this game. I hit Legend in my first yr.
@@raymondsantiago2411 i never played competitively and never really aimed for it, it does not matter that I'm not bad or something but assuming that someone is bad because they are not competitive is not a nice thing to say. I play decks that are more of "fun" nature which are not really high win rate decks. I even said in the comment that it was the first time I decided to push anywhere.

I'm so confused by this set... This really feels like a situation where they absolutely should have consulted Wild content creators or had a public poll or something to see what cards people wanted to see buffed for Wild. The C'thun buffs, obviously, would stay - Old Gods are fun. But to buff Discolock cards after it was so good it got a card banned from Wild? Kind of silly. And apart from the small handful of great changes and small handful of stupid changes like buffing Discolock, there's a giant mountain of changes that are definitely changes, but I'm not sure what the point was - cards nobody has ever played before or recognizes by name only, weird changes like Aviana to 9 that aren't really all that impactful. I honestly would have voted for Patches to get Charge back before some of the changes they've made to seemingly random cards.

The dev team has gone on record saying that they see it as impossible to balance wild while appeasing those who want a high wild power level so they completely gave up on wild balance and released twist instead. I could sugarcoat the situation by saying that they maybe thought about wild a little bit but with buffs to cards like the secret mage 0 mana 5/5 becoming a 6/5 they clearly weren’t thinking about wild at all.

I was playing a random list I copied from the internet that was running felstalker and target dummies (the theory was that chamber and imp/merchant were enough card draw so hand of guldan could be cut to discard barrage and fist more consistently), I kept thinking damn these cards sucks but I guess there's no other real discard cards available I somehow completely forgot about scourge supplies and didn't think about putting kobold librarian in (you know just the most splashable warlock card ever lol), I'm not the smartest deckbuilder xd
I mean if you want the straight up answer lol, it's way too slow in comparison to spending your mana doing things like dealing 4, dealing 6, summoning 2/1s and a 3/4, and getting probably a 11/10 Tiny Knight of Evil. Not that the quest wouldn't be funny, but I think he was wanting to play the deck at it's prime or best lol

I just love hiw Discard Warlock was such an utterly useless and bad archetype they had to print a bunch of downright briken cards to make it Op ... Hence there is no middle ground, either is a meme deck or a broken one.
It’s just the same story over the past couple expansions for Discard Warlock. Never enough support and synergies in standard to make it good, but too many OP cards in wild to be broken.
This is true for a lot of Wild archetypes. All it takes is just a few buffs here and there, one broken card, and you have a busted tier 0 deck. And too many Wild players think that balance is easy.

the un'goro quest is actually really good in this deck, because it means you always start the game with a garbage card in hand that's good to discard

Aviana to 9 is big for Juicy Psychmelon - great for tutoring combos again

Aviana is simply a card reversion to what it was, and 100 percent for the Twist Format. Make no mistake, this was a Twist expansion, not a Wild one.
