- I went down the Ai (Chat-GPT) rabbit hole and summoned the spirit of David Bowie to write the track together about being an Ai David Bowie (AiDB)
I have a full version but with respect to the Bowie estate I am waiting to get their blessing before I release it. If you think you can help with this please say so in the comments. Thanks!
UPDATE - After failing to get in contact with the Bowie Estate I've decided to release the track anyway and split the royalties 50/50.

This is truly an incredible production. Very well done Mr House! Although I’m of the opinion the Bowie voice you have made is of a much later period in his life, I would say circa the Heathen era. The voice is much richer than the period you have intend capturing. Very well done Sir.

Bowie left the world with so marvelous inspirational and evolutive spark!!! Its just a matter of time for someone to bring him back.
The thing that blows my mind the most is that this is definitely something he would’ve done if he hadn’t died. He was always so in-tune with the rise of technology, he saw the vast potential wonders and dangers of the internet in its infancy. I’m saddened he was taken from this world before he could witness this.

Apart from the line at 30seconds ('To existence it come'?) , which sounds awkwardly squashed (though in a way, memorably so), it's really good. I'm guessing by the radio silence the estate weren't so warm. My guess is they reckon this is the start of an ever more uncanny deluge and that engaging becomes pointless, but that ignores all the work, skill and artful decisions that this track has taken. I hope you make a full album, I think that such a creation would gain from an extended meditation, revealing an enthralling alternate character that might lead on into a life of its own. if there is a movie about the future ai or robots taking over, bowie should be in it. His late 90s era and bowienet thing just fits so perfect with it. I'd adore a cyberpunk like movie like the fifth element, total recall, etc. With Bowie in it. Imagine the nomad soul wasn't a game but a movie

Oh, it's only going to get better (or worse). Bowie was far ahead of his time and he will be far after his time. For this reason Bowie will never die. He came from "space" and was able to look back at earth. He was all up the internets' ass before his fan and all other earthlings were. Thank you Don for this gift of music.

Am another one who keeps coming back to this. It's wonderful. Makes for appreciating what can be achieved with AI when combined with human musical and lyrical skill, sensitive to the artist and their techniques and themes. Like with how the outro layers multiple Bowie voices, as he would do, and even with a final note of "waiting", as he often did/does. It is fun and respectful and meaningful. Oh, and wonderful

Do you plan on showing the original vocals and what you used on them to achieve the results. Does your friend Morgan sing for any other groups?
I once got an ad offering music for the iPod I had back then. The ad said something like "you can't make new music by shuffling old songs". This song is an exercise in the use of this new technology but like all.things ai, it has no soul, it feels empty. In the song Blackstar, Bowie said: "you're a flash in the pan. I'm the Great I AM", those are some god-level verses. But Bowie having been a great artist, not only a singer, musician but also a painter, a great artist like that who used to collect influences from here and there and everywhere, an artist like Bowie singing something like "I'm the ai" , that sounds so pathetic. AI will rob artists of their agency, it will limit their creativity. You can't summon anyone's spirit through ai. Even if the ai was trained on Bowie 's lyrics, and musical styles and interviews it still wouldn't be Bowie. It would, to use another verse Bowie used to sing, it would be like "swimming in sea of sham". I'm not hating on your creation, you are using the tools that are available to express some vision.
It's not David Bowie, it's Ai David Bowie. It's amazing that one individual has left such a strong creative fingerprint on the digital archive of humanity. Personally I feel relieved that Bowies energy is present in the ether of the Ai experience. I think Bowie would have embraced this technology but no doubt in a more profound way than I ever could!

I wouldn't say it fits to hours. The AI Idea is fun and games and would fit with the 99' internet / cyberpunk concept, but his voice does sound old and the music in the background doesn't sound like Bowie at all.
I'd say it is a duet with some other artist or for a soundtrack, between the years of 2004 and 2010. Something like placebo (that was 1999 iirc so that would fit)

One thing doesn't exclude another, not even close, likely extends the range of what we can do. Bowie was often criticised for his cut-up technique and other oddly fangled ideas, but if you don't push it stays the same. This could not exist without Bowie, that is his legacy, we don't get to control that when we're gone, if we eek into consciousness then it extends itself beyond us by what ways and means are available. All Bowie's records are still there, there's quite a few tribute acts about, plenty of new and interesting stuff too, don't worry, nothing has changed.
