  • This video shows how to remove a stuck XLR barrel from a Hosa PDR 369 patch bay. I removed the stuck XLR and replaced it with a new Neutrik DL series XLR jack.

MIne is pressing, but it doesn't work. My mic is stuck for many years.
EDIT: i pressed where you pointed, and managed to pull it off. Thank you for your assistance!
I thought it's a defective xlr socket, but it turned out shure mic is somehow getting suck, so I had to pull it off from the neighboring socket. I'm, not sure what's wrong with the mic from looking at it

Can't you just grip the barrel with a pair of pliers and rotate it to get it out?

Sure I suppose the “grip it and rip it” method will also work. However you will probably scratch up the XLR barrel and ruin the lock tab in the connector with that particular method.

hey man, how do i get access to that pin without being able to teardown the piece of gear that holds the female connector ?

i took the pin assembly out of the xlr housing, but I still can't get my tweezers in there enough to pop it out ):

Try a small flat screw driver in addition to your tweezers. It will take a bit of poking around but your tool will eventually catch on the latch and it should release. Good luck!!
