How to Sharpen Walton's Slicer Blade
Learn how to use the sharpening system built into your Walton's slicer. Simply apply pressure on sharpening stone rods at the back of the slicing blade first. Then, flip the stones to the front of the slicer and apply pressure again this time on the front edge. This will create some sparks, this is normal. This built-in blade sharpening system will keep your Walton's slicer in the game and ready for its next use.

The new Walton 12" Slicer is a lighter version of the 12" slicer we have offered in the past. By mimicking the style of the smaller 8" and 10" and removing the stability bars on the front we have managed to drop 12 lb and still keep all the same power. This slicer can slice cured and cooked meats paper-thin and is perfect for slicing lightly frozen beef or wild game to make jerky! With a slicing range of 0-12.5mm with the simple turn of a knob, you can really slice just about everything.

I've cut many slabs of bacon and various other cuts of meat and cheeses with my two year old Walton's slicer. The blade shows no sign of dulling, but this is great information on how to use the included sharpener when the time comes. Thanks for posting this Jon!

How much Stone should be touching the blade? So I should have the tip of the sharpening stone touching how much of the blade ?

Well, that's very old school, but also crazy amount of work! At least if the power ever goes out you can still sharpen your blades!
