    Dr Briers enthusiasm for the topic of Egyptology is both palpable and infectious! I have read his previous publications on the Pharaoh Queen Hatshepsut and the detailed study is compelling. I look forward to purchasing his latest book on the boy king!

    I wonder if dr. Brier would be interrested to do an updated course on egyptian history for the teaching company, since it is more then 20 years old at this point

    I remember reading about Howard Carter when I was in the fourth grade. I always held him in mind as a sort of real life Indiana Jones. How shocking to hear he also pilfered tombs! I think I need to buy Mr. Brier's book!

    So if Carter gave those items to the family members and friends you spoke of what do you think he kept himself? Wow I bet some billionaire has his own museum. Shieks or Oligarchs of the world.

    The famous gold mask is not his , it has pierced ears therefore it was made for a woman . Up to 60 % of the stuff in the tomb wasn't made for him .

    I know of no actual letter from Ankhesenamun in the record. I know there is Hittite records of an Egyptian queen requesting a son. The letter is quoted, but no actual letter exists today.
    Nicholas Reeves mentioned the pleats. He suggested (from memory) that Carter may have done some exploratory work to see if there was anything behind the wall. Who knows what happened.

    Tutankhamun is Alexander the Macedonian. It explains everything that is wrong with the grave and the mummy.

    • @WorldHistoryEncyclopedia
      @WorldHistoryEncyclopedia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting take, but the mummy proves otherwise.

      @@WorldHistoryEncyclopedia Octavian Augustus left his coat and a ring, those are visible on Carters original photos. Compare Philips grave cover to Tutankhamuns, Alexander grave descriptions are the same as Tutankhamuns and many other things, more than 200 coincidences.

    Why would they put used worn shoes in a tomb of a King to take to their afterlife?

    • @TBT707
      @TBT707 ปีที่แล้ว

      many egyptians took their sacred items with them to the afterlife,im just speculating.maybe the shoes had some sort of value to him,or he needed them on his way in the afterlife! Just theories but ill do research on this.

      Simply because they belonged to him in the living world and meant something to him. 🙂
