I was there on opening too, and yeah, it was a bit rough with a few closures here and there. Funny, one cast member swore to me it wasn't broken and was just "closed"(?) at 2pm in the afternoon of the ride's opening day, by choice, just because??? I didn't believe them at all lol, but after determination to get a ride in, I did in the end, and it was fantastic! Didn't spot you around the park though sadly
I swear if they retheme The Curse At Alton Manor to Darren Brown I'll hit my head onto some train tracks ( no pun intended ). Great video Dan, glad they got ride of the VR at last!
It looks really interesting, and I think while it doesn’t have the appeal of a traditional dark ride, it’s nice to have something unique.! Certainly looks better than derren!
I'll judge it once & if visit Thorpe Park Resort & experience it for myself & then do a review on it for my channel DJS Official. Sounds interesting and a good story driven attraction, but would like to judge for myself. But nice vlog, enjoyed and look forward to seeing more videos in future. 😀👍
I was on the train behind you.... It broke In the second journey we just sat in silence for 10 mins before it started. There was no announcement, the actors just stayed frozen in place for 10 mins We got two free fast passes so all ended well
@@Firegen1 It was so awkward, I really do feel for them. One of the actors talked to the operator and said that they should 'tell us why we have stopped'. She did this very well and in character. The ride operator did absolutely nothing, so the other actor piped up and said 'all passengers will remain on the train until their journey is over' And that was it. That was all the explanation we got. That was all that was said in what felt like an eternity. I was a single rider so it was actually quite creepy, didn't feel real somehow.
