Hey, I'm looking to pick up Samira mid too (currently main Ezreal mid). Other than the standard build (Collector + IE), what do you think of rushing Shojin and going more bruiser depending on the game? Also, do you think the new Essence Reaver is viable on her? (if it is, we can take Triumph instead of Presence of Mind and still have no mana issues )
Heya! I played a lot of ezreal mid myself really fun pick! :) I dont think shojin is ever good on samira on any spot, essence reaver is for sure viable but i dont think its a great item on her BUT it does help with the mana like you said and then you can opt into triump or the new healing rune. I dont really know if the tradeoff is worth it tho cus you would be building a suboptimal item just to take another rune when u could just presence of mind and spike harder with better items. I also think triumph on samira mid is kinda fake because it doesnt do anything to ''help'' you win in the laning phase while both presence of mind and absorb life either help you survive lane, or let you use your abilities more freely. Not saying triumph isnt good on her, it is, but way better bot where you have actual setup for fights. So mid lane personally i never take triumph. If you do want to play her bruiser build (which is better top but probably playable mid) you are better off starting your build with stridebreaker which is actually a really decent item on samira, into something like a black cleaver + crit healing items. A decent build is also stridebreaker into just crit items like IE + LDR but then you arent really a bruiser apart from ur 1 stridebreaker item BUT its a lot more playable! Theres prob some situational and fun items you could try tho, maybe stridebreaker into IE into sundered sky is decent aswell, i havent experimented too much with the bruiser builds recently cus i tend to be pretty much always vs diamond + players so going for a fun build can be pretty punishing, i like to play her more as a full glass cannon assassin with BT and shieldbow etc for survivability. Sorry for the long response! :p
@@kingbranco Thanks for the detailed response! It saves me a lot of pain and time experiencing the bad builds by myself, and it's nice to see the reasoning behind it. I think I'll stick to the typical build while learning her, then maybe try to experiment a bit. As for the ER/Presence of Mind thing, I guess I'm a bit biased from Ezreal lol. I really cringe when I see people taking it, because even with just manamune you have enough mana to rarely run out. The few times you do is worth it imo, because having Triumph instead lets you pull off so much more. Especially before ER got changed, you actually had infinite mana on him yet people STILL took Presence of Mind.... But obviously Samira is a different champ. Anyway, thanks again for the tips. I'll make sure to watch your gameplay too to get a better feel for the champ.

@@kingbrancosounds splendiferous in theory but in practice my mid opponents always have 15 kills even if i never died so then they one shot me and immediately finish the game so yeah handicapped and disabled teammates
@@samiraabuser eeeeh this is not my experience at all playing samira mid, samira isnt the greatest roamer but you can for sure still move to be in important fights most of the time, and communicate when your laner is missing and roaming to a certain lane. It for sure does happen that your laner roams and they get kills and you were in a spot where you couldnt roam BUT more often then not you can still play the game and also join those fights. All you can do is communicate with pings, follow if you can after shoving, or look for spots yourself to roam, blaming it on bad teammates will change nothing 👍😉
