@@NotPolarEXjoin any covenant but that one I mean unless you want the extra challenge. The covenant you joined made the game harder, when in that covenant enemies have more health and they do more damage to you and I think you do less damage to them.
Hahaha You joined the Champions :D I can tell you about it if you want. But before that just know that you can unlock a ring with them. That makes it so you can fist fight with no weapons on. Straight Hands !
Btw the mace (and rapier) can carry you easily to the mid/late game. Switch weapons when you find something cool that you want to try. This is Fashion Souls for a reason👌 You can also powerstance weapons (You can dual wield same group weapons if you have 1.5 times the required stats) that isnt in the other games. @@NotPolarEXThere is a ton! You just need to find them so you need to do lil more exploration (you have missed some stuff but theres also a lot ahead)💪 Theres also cooler armor sets than in the other games imho👌
The mace is one of the best weapons against enemies and bosses since most of them are heavily armored and the mace does strike damage which they are weak to, Also the mimic chests have slight breathing animation, when you look at the lid closely you can see it opening a little revealing their teeth.
Champions covenant puts you in the new game plus difficulty, thats why the gutter was harder. No other covenant does this, but bonfire ascetics can be burned at a bonfire to raise the level of the individual area. New game plus adds items, but unless you look up how to farm the awestones to progress it youre better off using the bonfire ascetic. The symbol of the king is a ring. Theres another door in that area that requires an item or bought with 1million souls There are secret doors you missed in a couple of the areas, the secret doors in ds2 instead of hitting them you hit the interact button (there wont be a prompt) sometimes these give you extra bonfires. Theres a bonfire at the start of black gulch on the left, the torch lets you set the pools on fire as you roll through them, and theres a secret ledge around the wormholes No mans warf has the guts greatsword which is really good two handed in the building with the long armed monsters. the sword you want is the warped sword but its a light weapon and a dex weapon but in the dlc theres an amazing str weapon but you should get the warped sword for now
Fun fact, if you level up the Covenant of the Champions to the max level you get a ring that allows you to use the bare hands build and it's actually very fun. There are a few ways to get it without needing to partake in PVP, I'd say farming the 50 Awesotnes is worth it
@@NotPolarEX Nope... That one your in doubles the damage you take, increases enemies health... Believe me brother, I made this exact mistake on my own playthrough... By the way check the monument in Majula and show us your death count!
If you're not going to use a shield anyway, you should look into "power stancing." Similar to Elden Ring, when you wield two weapons of a similar type (two scimitars, two spears, two hammers), you can toggle a power stance. You must have 1.5x the required STR and DEX of both weapons, rounded down. Example, the Mace requires 12 STR and 5 DEX, you'd need 18 STR and 7 DEX to use the power stance. With a mace in each hand, Hold Y/Triangle, and your character will change their stance slightly. You now have a different moveset (try all four attack buttons) that costs more stamina but does massive poise/stagger damage.
it doesn't necessarily have to be two weapons of the same class like in Elden Ring, you can powerstance greatswords with straight swords for example too
3 different weapon upgrade materials. For boss weapons they use "petrified dragon bones" which are pretty rare then theres some using twinkling titanite, and then the shards.
