I so admire what you do. Just got two books from you and those too are fantastic. Keep up the good work, as a wheelchair user myself, you take me to places I can't go x
Thank you for sharing this. I’ve wanted to see the Salford one for years. I was locked up a few times in there in my mid teens and my treatment a young woman in the cells was awful, but there was one lovely female officer. I then witnessed a major crime the day after being released from one of the arrests and was taken up that staircase and treated so well by everyone. Complete opposite of before. It all seemed so grand and I was given biscuits and tea. Shortly after I sorted myself out, had kids, became a teacher. It’s been over 20 years. Brought back memories and was quite therapeutic seeing it as just a building now. I hope the building is used for something positive because a lot of sadness has been experienced there.
loved this explore, Salford is my home city. What an absolute waste of a building, Salford council for you. i worked in retail in the 90's and we had a good relationship with the Police because of shoplifters, I can remember going to the bar in the station, didn't know it was classed as a night club in my time. This could of been transformed in to something special incorporating some of the original features, sadly left to rot, I don't blame it being used as a squat at times it is worth so much more. The Glasgow site was so photogenic in it's present state so must of been spectacular in it's day. Fantastic building in my opinion hope something can be salvaged... Love the weekly videos guys
Happy that you liked the video. The Salford one is very disappointing, as I've passed it all my life too. Huge shame. Glasgow is lesser known and seems to be in a much worse state.
I was wondering where 5he one in Glasgow was until you said that it had been used as the museum and I figured it out 😂 The Glasgow coat of arms is amazing depicting The fish that never swam The bell that never rang The tree that never grew and The bird that never flew Let Glasgow flourish ❤❤
Hiya Alistair, what a great vlog, I like it when you go into these abandoned places, saying that it gives me nightmares sometimes, what baffles me is, the building hasn't been used in years and there's no plans to renovate it into anything , even if they sell the buildings to a private investor who could possibly do something with them, I like it when you leave things as they are, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England
The staircase in that second one was as you said really nice and sad to think that someone in the not so distant past spent a lot of time making that and put a lot of work into all the detail hoping it would be looked after for quite a bit longer than it has been. Decay is a really strange thing, but the only certain thing in life is change I suppose
Thanks Lads for another two great explores. Good seeing you back in Scotland again and seeing that very long line of cell doors did make me glad that I was either a very good boy, or bloody lucky I was never caught! lol
Great video, I’ve gone past the Salford one thousands of times and always wondered what it was like inside, knew it would be trashed but that was so much worse than I thought. I loved seeing the old map of Salford, I wonder how different it is to a map of the area nowadays.
Hi Alistar how are you doing mate? Great video as always well edited plus great background music added to the dark scenes in the video whilst you look in the 2 abandoned police headquarters, they both look in a very sad state with the windows smashed and boarded up the insides trashed starting to fall apart those lights in the one in Glasgow tre reason why people may have done the neglect and vandaling up the place is people showing the hate of the place after the good news of the police headquarters moving and closing down both very old fashoned indeed by the way im loving the upload of videos every week as it really shows you care of the viewers who love to watch your channel (like me) plus you put 110% into each and everyone of them anyways i hope your having a good afternoon so far Alistar and keep up the great content on your channel as always as its so entertaining plus enjoyable to watch 👍
Ironic that one of the locations was in Manchester cos I walked past the Debenhams in Manchester City centre today and I had to snap a pic of the outside for myself (and cos Urbandoned is one of my favourite channels, so it felt right) ❤
You deserve far more views then your getting! Anyone know why Salford council rejected the conversation and what was the bar/night club called, when did it open/close?
a police officer has just pulled me over and said.........PAPER'S.....?..........i said.........SCISSOR'S,.....i win....and drove off........she must want a rematch, because she has been chasing me for 45-minutes..........🚔🚔🚔🚔🐕🦺🐕🦺🐕🦺🐕🦺

It's always a sad thought when you think of the architects that put so much care into these buildings, only for them to fall into disrepair
The Glasgow one was used as the old Glasgow District Court, St Andrews Street before moving to the sheriff Court building.
A B McDonald was the architect to the Office of Public Works in Glasgow
It’s nice to see your channel getting more attention, it’s very smart to capitalize with weekly uploads!
Two great police Headquarters expirations and an excellent video. The filming and the commentary was excellent.
Glad you enjoyed the video

Thanks for watching! More from Scotland soon. Indeed, those corridors would have been a ghastly place to spend a night
Balls of steel these guys ..love it
