Thank you very much Jeff! I recently made a big investment, i bought the Altair 26c (aka zwo 2600 MC pro) and left my wallet kind of empty . I am still waiting for it to arrive.

how has sharpcap treating you? i have the 305 and sometimes it works .. other times sharp cap crashes or just shows up black on live view and no exposure adjustment helps.. ive had nothing but issues with my sv305.
Big thanks! I am glad you enjoyed the video. took me a lot of time to make all the captures, the weather this winter was not good, i had a lot of cloudy nights.

I have this camera and cannot even get focus. I use it with the svbony 102 mm refractor. I have the focal reducer and field flattener also svbony. I have tried focusing with Sharpcap and Nina. I'm about to give up. Any advice . Thanks
Him maybe your backfocus is not correct, is best to use it first wothout the teducer make sure you have also extension tubes usualy is needed to get the backfocus required. You can start eith a 50mm extension tube and try it in daytime to learn how to get focus, then you van try also eith the resucer and change the backfocus again if will be needed
Hello! You need to have the SV305 color camera to be able to take color videos, if you have the mono version than you can''t. If you have to color version, maybe you have a driver problem, so make sure you installed the right driver for the camera, you can find it at svbony website, then you should be able to use sharpcap as i did to capture normal color videos. Hope this helps.
Hello, thank you very much for your shares, all very interesting! I also recently bought a SV305 camera, but I still have several problems understanding how it works... but I have a question for you if you can help me: I currently use a small 102 mm diameter celestron refracting telescope, I could see that I can focus with the camera only if I use the angular mirror: to be able to use it directly at the focus of the telescope, without the angular mirror, do I have to use an extension as you show in your video? What kind of extension cord should I buy and where can I find it? Thank you!
Hello.glad you enjoyed watching. You could buy an 1.25 eyepiece extension tube that can work also as an extension for the camera or you can use a 50mm 2 inch extension tube and use a 2 inch to 1.25 adapter for the camera. I do not know if you have 2 inch or 1.25 inch drawtube on your telescop

Hi, and thanks for another fine video. I dont get the performance of this 2MP camera, against the SV205, which is a 8MP. Normal more pixels, should give better, or at least sharper pictures. If you can, I would appreciate a comparison of the cameras you have, from the cheepst, to the expensive. Hence, I can see that most experienced astrographs uses cameras from ZWO, but they are out of my price range starting at $800,-(for deep space cameras), and the cheep one from ZWO, for planetary, are 1,2/2 megapixel. All this confuses me. I had almost decided to go for a SV205, but now after seeing this video I have doubts.
Hello.Thank you. I would buy the sv305 over sv205 only buy sv205 if you think of upgrading after to sv305 or other camera. Sv205 is entry level and not same quality. Sv305 is similar quality with the 300$ camera from zwo for planetary and lunar only the usb 2 is slower than usb3. You can buy also the sv305 pro with usb3. I have been using the sv305 for over a year with excellent results. For lunar imaging sv305 is good but better would be a mono camera like the sv305 pro mono. Overall sv305 or sv305 pro color cameras would be my first choice for planetary and lunar considering price performance. Regarding image resolution you can check ccd suitability from astronomy tools to see image scale.
