lol , carriers are so imba in broodwar . Flash already built too many factory and he were committing to mech build . Switching techs in late game , especially when the other already got carriers is absolutely impossible.
It would probably get sniped, plus even getting ONE vessel out with EMP is a very large gas commitment that Flash may not have been able to commit to
Like the moment the vessel gets even remotely close to the carriers, the interceptors would pew pew it out of the air
My bad thought , I think he made big mistakes for not switching techs . He already scanned the Protoss 's carrier production stargates at around 8:30 mins mark . So that is a very very early protoss air production against terrain , pretty much a freaking cheese. Or maybe he could turrets cheese the fuck out of his opponents lol .
He also made huge mistakes at around 15:00 . Those tanks were too exposed to the carriers
Honestly the correct response to stopping Protoss carrier strats is to never really let them get off the ground to begin with, or magically get battlecruisers. Easier said than done though.

How is APM calculated?
APM= Actions per minute
I quess if you click 1 time per sec you get 60 Apm
NOt just click, you need to either select a unit or issue an order, something that is considered an "action".

Superior macro make shuttle looks noobish, i see exacly what you did there, defend with minimum units, all time scan for intel about enemy positioning, prepare huge macro and the do everything in cycles. I think i could learn play like this, this was very organized, yet my problem is whem enemy do reaver drops, dt, storm drops or recalls, bassicaly when enemy make me busy i fall apart.

I always wonder why the goon didnt go in m attack the scv instead of attacking the bunker?
Notice that scvs were on the opposite side of bunker. If dragoons moved to get scv in range marines inside the bunker would also get their range.

Yup, third base undetected in the bottom right corner for 15 minutes. And shuttle wanted to play a macro game against that. Flash couldn't lose. 3/3 mechs in a macro game >> everything.

Shuttle played that badly. He committed to carriers while staying aggressive and losing to number of expansions. If he just stalled more in the late game and secured more resources, it would've gotten more closer than this game.
I think he couldn't do anything vs. flash's greed because of how early he started carriers. It's why Flash was able to take a fourth immediately after his hidden third.
quite easy. A zerg match never is easy. I hate that about terrans and protoss. them too strong at a relativelly high level of experience and micro, not that hard to be a pro. To be be a gosu zerg, fuck, u have to be insane, 400+ apm...and too much other things...

Flash's spend 10 freakin minutes building his economy. This is the only reason why he was able to build 20 tanks/goliaths in 30 seconds at 15 minute mark and become unstoppable. By then it was impossible to win with him. Why his opponent didn't just zealot rush his ass I have no idea. Flash's strategy just seems SO EASILY counterable. He had ONE marine and a single bunker for over 7 minutes. If his opponent scouted him just a little in early, he would've noticed that he is spending everything on expanding his economy and he would build 20+ zealots before Flash had first tank. It would've been over. Yeah Flash would probably run around the map for a while setting up some new command centers and trying to start all over again and I can see him pulling it off but either way he would've been so far behind it would've been GG anyway.
Flash scouted early too, and thats to detect a zealot rush, he developed his economy early so that in the event he does get rushed he can change his build quickly. Flash knew that he was probably gonna go for the carrier build since thats a common protoss offensive strategy, so using goliaths and siege tanks for ground+air is the easiest/most cost-effective way of countering what is the protoss double down offensive build, Flash had control of that game as soon as he sent out his scout.
Flash had to have known he was going for carriers, or at the very least that a zealot rush wasn't coming
typical low tier player dilemma. no pun intended. that's why early scouting is key and all pros do it. What you suggest is easily countered by vultures/mines. The fact that he chose siege/bunker was to counter early dragoon/range push he SCOUTED coming. A C- player will scout/adapt. let alone an A+ Korean that was probably the best terra the game ever saw.
