It's because it's when every plotline and general world logic fell completely apart. Dany should have taken Kings landing with ease in episode 1. And then in season 8 she invaded anyways and took it with ease lol.

It's starting to get a little bit.. odd, but it's not there completely yet, that's season 8... as we all know (although I do think there is still 1 or 2 good episodes in season 8). I would say most of the episodes in season 7 really are above average. They aren't as good as they used to be, but they aren't.. well as we all know it gets later on.

Rather than being brain dead basic dialogue. If you want I can break down further why season 7 is a complete mess. The biggest issue (which also carries into season 8) is them trying to keep Cersei in the game and make her the final threat. When logical she should have lost after the stunt she pulled in 6x10. But instead they destroy littlefinger and the night king stupidly first rather than Cersei...and then when it comes down to it cersei is easily defeated in 5 minutes. Nothing holds weight. That and the lack of them not including some major book characters and plotlines and overall just lacking source material in general...is what makes season 7 God awful. They should have just attacked kings landing...you can take a city without murdering everybody...Dany little took Mereen without killing innocents lmao. And then in season 8 they take kings landing without killing anyone (so rendering season 7 pointless and contradictory)...but then she decides to just kill everyone anyway as the writers saying "see told you so, varys was correct." Even though he wasn't.
This is probably one of my favorite episodes in the show. I don’t mind the season either. Jaimes PTSD of the mad king and watching people burn though, gosh I was actually rooting for him to survive. Dany burned food she could have taken for herself that was stupid imo.

That's why Tharos, Beric, and Malsandre are all on there pretty much. They crossed her and gave up one of her only friends. It's really unsure if some of these are still on her "list", as like you know she's not going to kill the Hound, and even Beric it's unsure if she'd actually want to kill him still.

This episode is awesome! however in my opinion it’s all downhill from here and this is the last best episode, the moment after you’ve got a good running start and your softest socks on and are sliding across the wooden floor- the moment before a slightly raised splinter in the floorboards catches on your foot and sends you flying toward and smacking your head on the dining room table, instantly breaking your neck, kinda like what happened to that guy in that breaking bad episode who was running away from bill bur and tripped on the carpet
From Jamie's perspective it was sad for him to see his people being burned by the dragon's fire. He killed a king because he wanted to burn the people in the capitol, and now he had to witness thing like this happening, especially from another Targaryen ruler who wants to sit on the iron throne.

You guys got good eyes and judgement. In real life people never spar with real swords and weapons. They always use training weapons, in many cases wooden ones or from some other material. But never the real deal. Its simply too dangerous. This is entirely show stupidity nothing more. Alas its one of the silly things in this otherwise relatively great show. I don't like it when they try to do everything realistic in a movie or show, and yet still leave some stupidities in, such as this one. Meh. Also in the books there is no real plot armor. Unfortunately the last seasons are not from the books so...
the problem with this episode is that dany didnt have supplies, so she goes to attack the people with supplies and then she burns all of it. that and the dragonfire didnt boil the river, but it was still very enjoyable because of the battle itself
