The car breakers are giving you more because catalytic converter prices are up just the same as gold, palladium, platinum and rhodium (all elements found in catalytic converters). They always strip the CCs off the car before crushing it into a cube. I have a 1998 Ford Econoline van with a Torpedo style CC worth over $600 US as I type this. I'll be tearing it out shortly 😄

Hi Mel,we recently bought a campervan,want to install a solar system as we intend being off grid or static for periods, can you advise me on a system that will allow us to use our toaster too. Lol. Seriously though will we need another leisure battery or can we connect to the one we have, cheers,and thanks in advance for your advice

Hi Mel, do you think that now vans can use EV charging points that people may not need to fit or rely on solar panels.. I am thinking of having 600ah of lithium, a higher powered alternator with B2B charging, and a hook up, without solar panels...
