Saw this last week with my wife and 14 y/o son last week. My son is a thester kid and was doing Broadway Alliance for the week but we managed to squeeze in 6 musicals during the week and Back to the Future was all of ours favorite. Casey was so cool at the stage door and started up a conversation with my son and his friend from his Broadway classes. The sold out theater was very energized with cheers and applause the entire show. I will catch it again next year when it tours.
That’s good to hear! I’ve been tired of the constant adaptations of movies into mediocre musicals (such a blatant cash grab imo) but I’m glad to hear this one has more passion and heart into it. Glad your son liked it! Broadway alliance alumni here too!
@@cherry_top Awesome. It was his first time doing Broadway Alliance and he had a blast. He made friends from all over as well. As for Back to the Future, dont get me wrong. This is not Sweeney Todd and certainly the music would not compare to anything by Sondheim. But it was well a lot of fun and most of the performers were awesome. Beyond that the production and stage effects were a fun. If you go in expecting a Tony Award winning musical you will be disappointed. If you are a fan of the movie like we are, you will probably be entertained. Casey Likes totally rocked this and I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot more of him on Broadway.
I would like to see this musical: Could you tell me if there are a lot of moving video images on a backscreen during the musical? My wife deals with vertigo and many moving images in the background could bother her. If you could let me know, that would be great. Thx.
@@brucea7692 Unfortunately yes, there is a ton of that, and some of it moves very fast. If moving images in the background give her vertigo, I would say this is not the show for her.
You can tell they reused footage from London with Roger! Overall, I cannot wait to see this again! Saw it in London a month ago and was blown away by the theatrical tech of this show!
Saw this is London with the original cast ... JAW-DROPPING!!! Now Broadway has its own version. I'm hoping and praying with fingers crossed that Australia (in particular Sydney) gets to house this sensational musical.
Just got back from New York and saw this on opening night. Absolutely blew me away. Stunning actors and effects and songs. Seeing Huey Lewis was a big bonus too 10/10
loved this show!!! the whole cast was amazing , the actor who played George came from the west end and he was absolutely perfect he sounded like and acted just like the actor from the movie, everyone was a stand out show was overall a 10/10
i have a friend who works for the show and according to them they aren’t recording one…at least anytime soon but who knows i hope something changes cause i would love one!
I have no idea where you live, but there will be a North American tour, so check the website and see if it is coming to someplace near you and maybe look for some type of ticket deal that you might be able to get/qualify for.

I've seen it 4 times with a 5th ticket in hand for July. If you want fun and a nostalgic story, this is the musical to see. The DeLorean is one of the stars of the show and she doesn't disappoint. ❤
In the constant desire for B'way to be the movie business, now every commercial looks like not a stage show commercial but a trailer for a movie. I called this back in 2004 in a parody musical revue with the premise, What if Broadway shows started doing coming attractions like the movies. Huge laughs. And here we are almost twenty years on and it's all come true.
I wont lie, the authenticity, similarity to the original characters and overall vibe in the original UK production trailer was far better than this. However, I still hope the Broadway production does well.
The movies are super fun! That's good for a musical, you leave the theatre feeling great. I went to see the production in London and it was amazing. They added a lot of jokes that weren't in the movie and these work because of the difference of medium. If you enjoyed the movie, you're gonna enjoy the musical too

i saw it back in August in London with the first cast, don't think anybody's gonna be able to compare to the old Marty

It is touring next year. They've announced the first four stops, Schenectady, Cleveland, Charlotte, and DC.
