Fun fact: Aside from Steven Yeun voicing Invincible, the entire voice cast of the Guardians of the Globe is also from TWD. Lauren Cohan as War Woman, Sonequa Martin-Green as Green Ghost, Chad L. Coleman as Martian Man, Michael Cudlitz as Red Rush, Lennie James as Darkwing, and Ross Marquand as The Immortal and Aquarius.
Green Ghost honestly had the best chance to escape. If she hadn't caught her obviously dead friend, she could've left the base to warn people. Granted she also seemed shocked and froze from fear.

Hopefully you continue. The comics are.great. The first 3 episodes were great. Invincible was created by Robert Kirkman who created Walking Dead. The Invincible comic actually came out about 6 months before the Walking Dead comic.
I loved the look of absolute shock on her face as Omni man TOTAL decimated the Guardians, she couldn't even speak 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I felt cold as I watched it lol "Why why why is he doing this why WHY??" WHY SO CRUEL??
I knew it was a mature superhero story, but I also thought the first episode would be about all these family/friendship storylines and I kept thinking "yeah, he's like Superman, he's like Batman, she's like Wonder Woman, ...", and BAM, you get that jaw-dropping ending that sets everything in motion! The first episode is already a great attention grabber.

I'm not aware of all the marketing they did for this, but after 3 episodes I can definitely see some similarities with the Boys (or should I say the Boys have some similarities with Invincible? 🤔). As viewers we assume all superheroes to view other like minded powered individuals to be allies, however it would also make sense that they could view other powered individuals to be future villains or threats to their control. After all we're dealing with an alien with his own set of values.
Gotta love the decision that if you are going to use the vocal talents of JK Simmons in an animated role, you make him look like what people want to see... J Jonah Jameson. I can only hope he comes across a Spiderman type character sometime soon. Waiting with baited breath to discover this with you
@@FullMetalB They changed up some orders with the scenes, removed the odd fight here and there, a big one would be that Omni-man demolished the Guardians with no effort while here it took more (since the creators likely wanted a fight) this and episodes 2-3 mainly took the major plot developments and kept those since a monthly comic series has more time for a quick fight and gag while the show doesn’t

I'm not a fan of huge violence like this in animation, except if it's a comedy show like Harley Quinn by the same studio, but it's fine I guess, and at least it's faithful to the comics :) JK Simmons is actually a great voice actor, this isn't his first role :) and I think it's Mark Hamill who plays the tailor, he's a great voice actor too ^^
All I knew, going in, was it is a graphic superhero show/comic. I watched the first 90% of it thinking “Well this is just a regular ol animated hero show. No Boys volume 2”...then the last 5 minutes dropped. I sat in my chair just thinking “Holy Shit”
If this is half as good as the comics (and so far it looks good, plus Kirkman being involved makes it more likely that it'll stay that way) it'll be friggin' great. And perfect for reactions if you're going in blind.

I read the comics religiously. I was so stoked about this. I do believe the first episode is slow, but that ending was worth the pace. Invincible in my Opinion, is the best superhero comic ever made.

I started watching this as well. It has a lot of potential so far. If you're looking for another great show that's animated try Attack On Titan. Everyone who watched it loves it.

I have been a fan of the comic for years it's great and the show does it justice, I won't spoil anything I will just say the end is typical of the comic as a whole with plenty of twists, turns and the unexpected oh and gore yes plenty of gore but it has it feel moments also, I hope you stick with it.
Love the comic book, and I hope you decide to react to this show in its entirety. This first episode really impressed me with how accurate it was to the source material, even down to the art style looking just about identical to the art in the comic, and it seems that this amazing accuracy will continue throughout the show, so I hope to see your reactions to all of it. 🙂
Omni Man shows the reality of superheros and superhero society. The truth we all refuse to acknowledge. That at the end of the day. After all every ones saved and the bad guys are put away. We're just ants living in a world of gods and the only reason our existence is continued is by their whim.
Invincible thrives on stuff like the ending. It seems like innocent, standard superhero stuff and then Kirkman springs stuff like that on you.

Simmons also voiced Jameson in many Marvel animated shows before
Omni-Man gave me Tom Selleck vibes in the comic
That’s just his design from the comics. When it was a comic everyone basically knew Simmons would be the perfect voice.
He was designed like that in the comics all the way back in 2003, I believe.
