This is the most amazing feeling, not only seeing the team play Horde Mode, but MAKING AN EXPANSION FOR IT?! I'm over the moon right now. I really hope you all enjoyed it!
Really enjoy it mate, you did a brilliant job writing the core engine. We’ll have a follow up Hero mode game featuring Malum Caedo from Boltgun for On Demand on Tuesday and then a straight Horde Mode game without my ‘Hero’ expansion here on TH-cam next week. So plenty to look forward to ❤️🕷️
not knowing how good Chairons rules were, i was a bit worried that three characters wouldn't survive horde mode. My expectations were swiftly adjusted and it set the scene so well
I love 40k for the competitive play, but this was the most entertaining and enjoyable battlereport I've seen in years! So hype, so fun. Smiling the whole way through. Spiders narrative brilliance was at an 11. Dude should DM a D&D game.
Thanks mate, my first and main game has always been RPG’s. I started with D&D and am usually a DM, which makes it ironic that I haven’t don’t it on Tabletop Tactics yet, but I will in the future :)
More horde mode Battle Reports please! Such a cool game system that they've built and glad to see it appreciated on TT! I know in my heart that Chef's reaction to Emergency Shovel Stash is exactly what Poorhammer hoped would happen.
@@jp53556 damn your right that kinda sucks tbh. they are humble dudes so they probally dont care, but it still sucks to not see them credited. at least their game is being proliferated
Guys, this is not true. I literally credit Horde Mode to poorhammer at the beginning of the video when we start at the table. They are also credited in the video description with direct links. I also have been speaking to Brad from Poorhammer who knew I was writing a DLC add on for it. Please don’t accuse us of things without watching the video properly first :)
Loved this. Laughed aloud several times. From Spider's terrible rolling to Chef's precognitions, Ed's 'down-the-camera looks' and Bard's giddiness, it was a treat. I'm going to subscribe for the other report alone!
This reminds me of the old Dawn of War 2 arena horde mode. Loved playing a Mekboy that exploded stuff around him when he teleported, teleported when hit and teleported when he hit with a melee attack.
Absolutely fantastic to see a community game mode like this back on the channel. Warhammer is all about playing how you want to play, and this embodies it really well, just make cool shit and have fun! Great job guys, would love to see something like this again in the future.
Chef: corrects Ed on a reference being from Reign of Fire, not Pitch Black. Also Chef: makes an Aliens reference and says it was from Starship Troopers. Clever callback? Brutal irony? Victim of editing? Regardless, it's comedy gold in context :)
That was such a joy to watch! From Ed’s commitment to the bit, to chef going 😑 for a majority of the game, I couldn’t help but smile the whole time watching
Glorious! What an awesome battle report! This had all the feels of the video game and some good ribbing thrown in. This made my Saturday fellas. Thanks for that!
I loved this! Entertaining from start to finish! Really captured the vibes of Space Marine 2. I love how into character people got! Can’t wait to see more!
That was so good, I I'm still smiling. Just loved every moment of this game.Well done lads. I am not a Ultra Marine player, but I'm sure even the Lion is very proud.
I am HERE for a Horde Mode series! Either normal Horde Mode or this suprisingly awesome Hero expansion! Thanks for including the free rules expansions! Can't wait to use this to get my siblings into the hobby!
LETS GO HORDE MODE I love watching and playing horde mode its an different way to play that also reminds me of the ttrpgs where you can backstab your allies
This was really fun - thanks guys! Love the format, love the lightheartedness, and love the custom rules - brings is closer to the heroic lore we're used to.
Incase you all missed it, these are actually painted really well - especially for tabletop distance. That's a crazy amount of models for that quality level. Well done!
It looks like an expansion to Horde Mode, Hero Mode, is a fitting addition to the already cool idea. Next, we can create Board Mode (and yes, I do enjoy people hearing Bored Mode), the Boarding Action expansion to Horde Mode.
I'd kinda of fallen out of watching battle reports but this was a complete surprise and really enjoyable. A good length to it as well. I'm in the middle of running a Tyranid invasion narrative myself and I think this hero mode may make a great 'last stand' final mission. I'd really love to know the music used in the intro too, that was hype!
so cool getting a horde mode battle rep, and with neat hero rules! i'm only a few minutes in but i'm curious if this ruleset will let the marines summon some backup if they collect enough points for that.

shovels for kreig!
Update: Chef's distaste for the Shovel Stash has made my whole week. I'm crying from laughing too hard.
@@thepoorhammerpodcastYou're terrible people and you must be stopped 😂
@@thepoorhammerpodcastyou wrote an amazing rulebook guys, can't wait to play it myself!
When Chairon killed 9 on his first overwatch it was so hype, brilliant battle report!
The truly was Space Marine 2 accurate. Great opening.

The paintjob on these Marines is something else. Seriously - how good is Fletcher at painting faces?!
Hearing the disgust in chefs voice when he used the secret shovel stash was amazing. Thanks for the video!

My favorite was the space marine charge lol just goin like a fuckin truck and watchin the enemies go flying 😂
I loove this! Honestly, if you ran a full narrative campaing using this ruleset I would sub to on demand in a heartbeat
This game mode looks insanely fun, and the rules for the heroes really works. Great job lads :)
Thanks mate :)
Chef’s face/reactions to everything in this game made it so much better. Well played and I can’t wait to see more. Courage and Honor!

Giving James the dice to roll for Titus is the kiss of death lads, you're basically playing the video game on Exterminatus difficulty 😂
We had to ratchet up the tension somehow! 😂
Now THAT is how you start a battle report!
Be patient and calm. Let them come to you. Bard/Titus: “Leroy Jenkins!”
Hahahaha

This was brilliant, definitely would like more of Horde mode!
What an absolute fantastic idea. Make more content like this
Can we have just a video of Chef reassuring us that we'll be fine? I feel like I need it.
@Poorhammer mentioned! Great report, a lot of fun!
This game mode would be perfect for a gaunts ghosts scenario
Yeah, I would like to expand it with some rules for guard command squads and other factions. Gaunt and his friends would be awesome :)
This was awesome to watch, great stuff guys. Love the “hero” battle reports, makes the Space Marines lore really stand out.
This ep is FANTASTIC more horde mode for the gods!!
That was cool, you guys need to do more of these types of games, I really enjoyed this video thank you guys
That was awesome! thanks for your hard work on this Battle Report.
This was awesome, just like playing the game... just surviving by the wipe of their straight, really tactical, kudos to the team and making it fun.
This was so fun to watch, you guys looked like you loved the game mode.

Amazingly painted terrain and models makes this even more enjoyable to watch. Good stuff.
Playing hero mode looks really fun!
I'd *love* to see more of this ^^ With different heroes, other narratives and the like! Maybe a narrative campaign?

Love every minute of this one!
One of your best battle reports ever!
In Ed's defense, Cole Hauser's performance as 'Johns' in Pitch Black *does* kinda have a McConaughey vibe.
Everyone who gets into warhammer should have this as their first gaming experience! Awesome battle report 👌👏👏
That was a huge amount of fun, I would defintely like to see more

Love it, especially with the role play.

Absolutely loved this. Just awesome!
Love to see you guys working with poorhammer! It would be great to see you guest on their podcast
