Use the transform effect on the original clip. Mask around the object to remove. Use the position attribute of the transform to move the desired space into the masked area. It'll work the same as the stacked clips in the example without having to use stacked clips.

But I can't seem to find a simple tip on any channel for a simple mask animation. I have an object on one layer that I have animated from left to right using position keyframes. I created a rectangular mask on that same layer hoping to reveal the object as it moves into the mask. However the mask moves with the object since it's on the same layer! If I try to counter the movement of the mask with its own animation, I have a lot of work and it doesn't match correctly. How can I simply tell my mask to NOT move, but allow the content to move? I thought there was a way to create a mask on another layer and apply it, but maybe this is from an older version of Premiere?

After you made a mask. Do you have to click Track? For some reason this is so slow? Everything else on my computer is fast. I put one over a face that is just talking. Not much movement at all

I record my screen in 4K :) But if you scale up your monitor settings, the quality will already improve a lot (right-click desktop -> Display settings ->then increase scale)

Yeah, I would love it if the Mocha Pro app actually worked. Their streamlining track path when stitching them together has never worked.
