      I hate it! Thankyou!! I paused and changed that before watching the rest. I spent most of the video throwing my hands in the air saying, Yes!!!! Thankyou!!! So many simply things that I haven't had the time to look for. You guys are the best. And your pop up at 5:40 so we don't feel like idiots. ❤ So true. I use Premiere a lot and had no idea.

    @1:24 Clip Switching. I was talking to a colleague only days ago when I said, "There's probably an easier way to do this that I don't now about"; and it turned out to be true. Thanks for the tips!

    I learned 3 things from this video thanks for the tips! I notice that there is a low frequency rumbling sound whenever you guys touch the desk. At least when listening with headphones. Could throw on a high pass filter to clean that up.

    Thank you for this very helpful and well-produced video :) A question about the scroll wheel: Is there a way to use it on the voume slider of your music track when you are trying to score your timeline with auto keyframe on and scrolling up or down to bring your music louder or softer as you play through your edit?

    LOVED THIS TIPS ! SO HELPFUL, JUST ONE QUESTION THOUGH, IS THERE ANY SHORTCUT TO TRIM A SINGLE CLIP(SINGLE LAYER) TO PLAYHEAD ?EITHER FROM RIGHT OR FROM LEFT. LIKE AFTER EFFECT HAS, ALT+] & ALT+[ ? PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY SHORTCUT TO THIS.

    • @jmcmedia9971
      @jmcmedia9971 ปีที่แล้ว

      Q & W used to be the default for that not sure if they still are or I'm using custom shortcuts to keep that functionality. Can hold ALT to keep it from ripple trimming.

    you can also get to the metadata display by right clicking on the area, aaaand you can save it as a preset. Hella helpful if you have to work on other peoples projects and don't want to entirely destroy their obnoxious preferred layout :D

    That’s all great but what happens when you update and everything goes back to default factory settings? Then you have to spend 8 hours to redo ALL of your preferences, keyboard shortcuts, etc. HA! Thanks, Adobe! SO EFFICIENT!!! (It’s called sarcasm, Adobe.)

    • @stuart_gill
      @stuart_gill 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I assume you manually update as it’s recommended to turn auto update off. When I update I set it to keep the old version and I make sure the copy preferences option is turned on too.
      Edit - You can manually copy the preference files over too. All in all, it takes a couple of minutes at the most. These different options can be done for all the main Adobe apps.
      Edit again - There is still a sync settings option in Premier too, so you can have the same preferences on different machines.

    • @Top_o_da_foodDChain
      @Top_o_da_foodDChain 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@stuart_gill yeah, I have auto updates off because it screws me over too often when I don’t have the time to troubleshoot during a time sensitive project. I’ve had “copy preferences from previous version” on and still had the problem. Maybe there is something else I did wrong but I shouldn’t have to check 30 boxes just to make sure my keyboard shortcuts are working when I do updates every two weeks that Adobe releases them.
      I’ve done manual updates in the past and saved my preferences too. There was a couple of times where that didn’t work either. I just gave up on personalizing it so much and succumbed to using most of Premiere’s default shortcuts.
      Now, if I run into a hurdle, I just google it or quickly set the keyboard shortcut I need in the moment and keep going. Thankfully, it’s easy to search the keyboard shortcuts for the menu item you’re looking for. Hopefully Adobe doesn’t screw that up too. Just leave it alone!
      I try to use Davinci Resolve for my projects as often as I can and when I’m not tied into a Premiere workflow. It’s not glitchy and is more efficient than Premiere. Thanks for your input, though. Best wishes to you 🙏🏽
