A 1600-2000 dollar card that is the absolute pinnacle of gaming GPUs right now can't even reach a stable 50 fps at 4k RT without upscaling or fake frames. This is the future of gaming. As long as these crutches exist, devs won't care about optimizing their games.
Yeah... As a 4090 owner it's whatever but it does seem to be the way that this is going. They're purposely avoiding optimization. But I can't speak too much on it until I see the game myself as maybe ultra Ray tracing is using tons of bounces etc like you never know how "future proof" a game might be. It's meant to play well on a 6090 perhaps on ultra.

It's just science. That's why I got a 1300w psu, 700 watts to power my components, 600 to power my lights. I never have to worry about resolution, graphics quality or fps anymore!
Gotta appreciate companies like Sony. Giving well optimized PC Ports with God of War and the Spiderman games. Even taking their time and not rushing out TLOU. Good stuff
Hi, i have a 4090 + 5900x + 32gb ram and I'm trying your settings but i can't get consistent 99% gpu usage like you. And so my frame time is around 55ms and sometimes goes up to 80ms CPU usage is around 30% Any tips? Is my cpu bottlenecking?
Hope they eventually iron out the bizarre cloth physics. Doing some testing on my on and even from watching this video, it seems that the cloth physics simulation/animation is tied to framerate. The further you move away from 30 fps, the more stiff the animation becomes. And even then, the animation/simulation just looks really glitchy with the cloth clipping into itself.
Low CPU and GPU usage seem to be the problem, Denuvo is also to blame. I think they will release a patch on Friday and and a new driver than should help, still unacceptable though. Its a shame as the game is really good.
People keep buying these overpriced powersucking giant bricks in there 3000 to 5000+ dollar pcs to eek out a meager 40 extra frames with some fancy lighting effects. People paying these premiums is just gonna incentivize the niche market of pc enthusiast into a point of diminishing returns year after year. If ps5 can run the game with at least decent visuals and above 30 fps (60 on worse settings) I just cant see the endgame for pc component manufacturers. Also for a game like this anything above 60 becomes increasingly unimportant for the dollar amount required to get there. On a side note the game is a total pleasure to play and explore with a ton of tender lover and care for Harry Potter fans.
@@maverick3057 what’s the render resolution at though? I think you can change it so native 4K but the render res might be on 1080p or 1440p. Saying that I’m getting like 120 fps at 4K in the dorms with loads of people around so that has to be one of the more intense areas and it’s it’s running good

Running steam version of this game , same gpu with i9 13900k and max i can get is 30ms with all emhacments enabled . Why is that high frametime compared to the others .
Often times DLSS makes image quality look better. Both those options are almost identical in image quality as DLSS quality looks nearly the same as native, and frame generation just adds frames.
I have a very close set up to your pc and my game stutters like crazy, i even RMA many of my parts and got news ones and still stutter like crazy, how is your game play so stutter free... I get same frame rate as u but my game stutters up the butt.
I also have a 7950x with a 4090 and I usually maintain 120 fps with 4k/RT/DLSS Quality/Frame Generation (GPU not at 100%), because I am playing on a 4k TV I cap the frames at 120. This benchmark seems lower than I expected.
I don't think so, I think the 4090 ti will end like the 3090 ti. Release, overpriced, 5-10% more performance than the 4090, and the most important, it will be replaced by the 5090 shortly after that, with a huge leap in performance.
Interesting. I thought AMD dropped the ball, but the 4090 isnt performing that much better than the 7900 xtx in this title (the difference in RT is also shockingly small). It's just terribly optimsed.
I just played the whole game on a 2080 Super running a i9-10900K CPU. The GPU was often pegged at near 100% when I would enter a new area and it did struggle in areas like Hogsmeade where it was really graphically challenged. I had my settings on HIGH not ultra but it still looked fantastic and was playable. I was not going to drop $1,600+ dollars to upgrade my video card.
I really don't know what to think about DLSS anymore. Lately it's starting to bother me a lot. It can enhance some details and degrade the rest and add ghosting.
@@zet7914 agreed on this. I'm just upgraded to 4K resolution and DLSS performance is so much better compared to 1440p. DLSS performance is now my go to settings for 4K.
These cards are not worth these insane prices. You’re spending like 3000$ and getting these performances. Consoles are slightly better in these instances - you at least get 30fps on 4k with dynamic res for 500$. Obviously they have their own issues, but at least it won’t burn your wallet if you want to play on 4k
I mean smooth 40 fps without any drops on ultra and RT is really good for this game. Its really advanced and actually is playable on older gpu and cpu. Its well optimized even in preorder.
Still not worth. Imagine buying a 2k$ Card where the RAW Power is not Above 144fps. Ofc u got DLSS etc. but its trash. I want play Games with Max Grapics, RAW 144FPS on a 2K 144HZ Screen.

I love this game so much that I have an impulse to cop the 4090 but the range difference is only by 10 fps 😭 3060 ti: 50-90 and 4090: 60-90 😭 and 4090 on 4K Ray Tracing DLSS Quality only gets even 60-70 fps???? 😭 Gotta wait for 5090 😢

Game has performance issues on consoles and pc. Seen a video of a console player getting 19 fps in hogwarts.

On account of my tower now emitting carcinogenic levels of light. The game looks the same whether my monitor is on or not!

RGB adds +20% d*ck size as well.
It also increases the walking speed.

Mine 4090 got different results, 1440p max setting with RT dlss quality and frame generation on running at 300fps constantly

i'd say 4k native FG for quality and DLSS+ FG for performance, Depends on your specs

They use a outaded version of dlss just update with a the last one and it’s perfect and yes dlss work the best at 4k

Now run on a really monitor of 5120x2160. Cost two 4090s and watch the 4090 fall flat 40-60 fps max.

with my 13600k and rtx 4080 same settings (with DLSS Framegeneration) @1440P i get about 160 FPS, so this system its not that efficient.
