@@rixxroxxk1620oh wow! What a time to see railroad! I just barely remember the e60’s lol…. As for the MARC AEM-7’s four of them should be there from when I saw in April but if it’s changed that’s surprising because, I think they just park them in different places.
05:42 Nice to see Amtrak is still making use of the Metroliner cab cars. There IS still a use for them, can't believe they're starting to withdraw them.
Yeah it is! From what I hear there’s also a shortage of them in service. That is why some trains on the keystone corridor have a double ended ACS-64 consist.
It’s actually a Northeast Regional that only uses that consist on Sundays and Holidays! But they did used to run keystones that long during the thanksgiving rush!
Well it is 3 tracks on certain portions of the corridor! A portion in Delaware, a portion in northern Maryland around Elkton and Aberdeen Maryland, and then there’s the portion from Baltimore- Landover Maryland which is just north of Washington D.C which is all a 3 track main line. There is an extra track at Halethorpe MARC station which is considered track A but it only runs next to the 3 track main line between Halethorpe and West Baltimore MARC stations.
speed limit on that section of tracks is actually 135 not 150MPH 150 is WAY too fast for that Baltimore-DC section, but on the bright side you picked some nice stations to catch trains at, i hope to see more of your videos like this in th future
You know in Europe it's forbidden for high speed trains to pass a station at high speed! For these kind of measures, the high speed trains slows down or they can pass at high speed when the station has 4 lane tracks when there is only 2 platforms station with a barrier wall.
That would explain a lot from the videos I see at train stations over there! Here on the northeast corridor in some places where it is 4 tracks the tracks closer to the platform have a lower speed limit than the middle tracks… but there are a good amount of stations that are maybe 2 tracks along the northeast corridor or 3 tracks where trains bypass stations at high speeds.
@@AcelaRailfanning Yes and also if I speak now specifically about Germany is that high speed lines use the LZB safety system whereby high speed trains with the AFB function will slow down automatically by itself. The driver doesn't need to break the train manually by him or herself. To go back to the Northeast Corridor, I play Train Sim World 4 on the Playstation 5 and I also have the Northeast Corridor as DLC route betweeb Boston and Providence. So, when I am driving the trains, I pass the stations at 125kps.
Yes it was 4 tracks in the past! To my knowledge they actually want to make it four tracks again between D.C and Baltimore but I’m not too sure how the progress is going for that
I apologize about that but I enjoy taking photos as well… If those sounds bother you than these videos might not be for you but I will try and work on that!
I miss the AEM-7’s. Those toasters could FLY.
I miss them too! True Nostalgia!
@@AcelaRailfanning I’m old enough to remember the GG-1’s in PC paint and the E-60’s🤣 MARC still has two AEM-7’s at their Locust Point yard!

Yeah, I know. They could have converted them to dual-mode locomotives for freight use and special rail services...

They're _old_ hence the withdrawal. The Airo cab car replacements are well in the works.
@@davidfuller581 I bet THOSE will blow me away.
Great shots! 5:39 has got to be one of the best clips I've ever seen 😦😦
Yes the Metroliner doing a SAAHC was golden!!! Nice and clean on the engineer’s part!
Love it when those Train Operators give you the train salute, Its nice

Great video. My favorite part of the northeast corridor used to be when they hauled a@@ over the Susquehanna River bridge.
Haha! Thank you btw!
Engineers were really working the horn too. Nice

The Budd Company should be brought back. Why? Because local businesses can do better than foreign businesses.
