  • This segment opens in Ethel and Albert’s kitchen as the couple enjoy breakfast. Just a typical morning for a married couple - discussing the news, looking over the mail … and, wait, why isn’t Albert wearing the new tie that Ethel gave him for Christmas!? And what a tie it is! “The salesman said it was very conservative yet it had some life and color.” Will Albert admit that he doesn’t like the tie? Or will he wear it and suffer in silence?

WOW The 50's is my era. Early TV wasn't that great at first, this is pretty bad, I never saw this show, but TV got better quickly . Burns & Allen adapted their old vaudeville to TV, then Lucy came on board, I grew up with the Beav, and Dennis the menace, we're all the same age. But no matter how bad TV was at first, people preferred to stay home instead of bundling up the kids and going to the movies. Movie houses lost business, and redesigned them to roller skating rinks, and since there was a stage, they let local bands entertain for experience, and free for the skaters. Some bands made it big from this experience and here came Rock & Roll, and 45 RPM records and Color TV. The 50's sure was a fun time.

This is pretty bad in what way? Technically, naturally. Any idea what early TV involved in NY? Peg was there. Hear what she herself has to say about the amateurness of it all. th-cam.com/video/eib2AB48Xuk/w-d-xo.html But if you're referring to content? Ah. Then you are in the definite minority.

I disagree with the first commenter. I thought this video was funny and well-performed. I lol’d a few times.

Peg’s humour rarely dates. Re other comment: I guess if one is a Leave It To Beaver fan one is bound to be disappointed by anything intelligent..
