I honestly love how the beginning lyrics sound like she’s trying her best to be in control, before it really hits her that she IS in control. Hades doesn’t have her soul anymore, she’s no longer at the mercy of the river, and she’s stronger than Hercules. At the end, she relives these memories and realizes it. She no longer feels like she has to convince the subjects to follow her. They will follow her, they have no choice.
And yet she doesn't realize they were WILLING to follow her after all the Olympics done them dirty. By ruling with iron fists she's gaining their hatred with their fear, When she locked them it's when they realized she's NO better then the Olympics
I love how she asks the guy playing piano to play something a little mellower, but as she sings more intensely, he gets more into the song, and plays fiercer, along with other instruments chiming in too.
imagine your saviour walked away. watch the movie and read the mythology. She was horribly dead when he caught her. It wasn't straight back to Hades. It was an implication of straight rape and torment. Exhausted? I bet she was. No wonder she took over. Read between the lines knowing how brutal these stories can be.
This take really takes the saying, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." to a bone-chilling level. On that note, getting heartbroken a second time would definitely push Megara over the edge enough to seek power in order to remain untouchable forevermore.
As someone who has been heartbroken a second time- I can confirm. I absolutely loved Megara's design at the end, the fact that she took on Hades' physical traits because she became the new ruler of the underworld, as if those traits were specific to the role is a great decision to make in context to the Disney.
"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." should be noted is also a reference to the Furry Megara, along side her two sisters which were servants of Hades
am I the only one that thinks Hades didn't die in fear? he seems the type of guy to simply be proud of Meg to have fallen so low to have developed the guts to try to dethrone the olympians
An absolute masterpiece. I immediately became "Team Meg" when her hair started turning blue as Hades' power began to flow through her and the music was absolutely on-point, from start to finish. The writers at Disney could learn a thing or two from this. ❤
I love this. It would also fit really well with the original Megara from Greek mythology. In the original legend Meg is Heracles’s first wife who he murders along with their children in a fit of rage caused by Hera. So it makes sense that she would want revenge
but that's Hera fault though, i know original heracules was basically a dull brute( heroic but still dull) but his labors were in part because he committed that crime.
But he didn’t do it of his own accord, Hera made him see them as monsters (I think) so he killed them, and the only way for him to atone as the (originally) Ten Labours, then the King decided he cheated on two of them (the stables and the Hydra) and needed to serve him for 2 more years. The version I heard ends with him on Mount Olympus being embraced by Hera ... for some reason 😕😕😕
@@LadyLeomon But still, I doubt she would know or care. It’d still be natural for her to not understand and think “WTF YOU JUST MURDERED US RANDOMLY-“ and want revenge. And in this world: She does
I love the concept of an extended story where megara and herc actually play out the rest of the greek myth and then this happens in the underworld after megara is enraged after feeling betrayed again and herc is miserable with himself for what he's done.
The jazz club vibe for the Underworld is quite a contrast, but also fits so well. It really allows for Meg to sing out her bitterness and sorrow over her sacrifice which amounted to nothing, leaving her with nothing but only vengeance upon the gods, from Hades who enslaved her to Hercules for leaving her to die after she saved him. A part of her still wishes for things to be as they were, to be in love with Hercules and make things right, but she is set on moving forward rather than looking back, leaving only two ex-lovers to go to war, a war of gods vs humans.
Listen, when you’re told the god of the underworld was murdered by the person within killing you distance you do what you’re told. If you’re wondering how far killing you distance is it’s approximately everywhere when you kill the god of the underworld.
A part of me would like to think that Meg would keep Hercules as her unwilling champion. That one part of her understood he betrayed her because she betrayed him first, that she'd want to hold on to what little love they have left between them, and that the other part would want revenge after having her act of redemption be spat upon, wanting her former love to be her disgraced lapdog.
History tragically repeats. Meg sold her soul to Hades to save her former lover's life, only for him to leave her for someone else. Here she gave her life to save Heracles only for him to abandon her. A villain version of Zero to Hero would be interesting: In this version Heracles sees what the gods of Olympics truly are: Monsters, Tyrants, Rapists, Spiteful, and Hypocritical. Thus he rallies the people against the gods and frees the Titans only if they leave humanity be and focus their anger towards Zeus and the rest of his flock. Here in this version Heracles would be more of a morally gray character.
@@aliceandrade7164Imagine Hades actually helping and growing to care about him. An inside man, as Zeus does somewhat trust him, as shown by him inviting him to Hercules' birthday or something in the beginning of the movie
Yo... imagine that Zeus refused to make Hercules stay mortal and gets him and Meg separated, but still they make it work somehow... only for Zeus to r*pe Meg which resulted to her off-ing herself and now he tries to kill all the Olympians.
The lyrics fit her personality so well? Like the “scouts honor” thing and the “blah blah blah” at the beginning. It’s incredible. Obviously the singing and animation is godly (see what I did there), but I’m honestly in awe at the EXPERIENCE that is this video ❤
Feel free to ask questions of the backstory I made myself. The song is "When Can I See You Again" but I'll leave Lydia to play with the lyrics (I'm so determined to help make this happen holy cow)
I've noticed when people collaborate on TH-cam, and esspecially with females, the only thing they ever say is "It was so much fun collabing with you!" How very original.
I love that only colour she had back in the flashbacks was the purple in her eyes. While in the present she gradually gets two small bits of colours *the the extremely light blue eyes and her purple lips* (at most times) until the end where her hair turns fully blue! To me it shows that she is getting more powerful as the song goes on!
I like how there’s a not only a change in her appearance to look more like Hades but also that she changes from “hey I’m tired just listen” to “you will listen to me I don’t care if you’re scared.”
I really love how Meg has a lot of her very distinct little characteristics and quirks from the movie (like how she stands with a hip out and her sarcastic and cynical tone of voice) but also has taken on some of Hades’ quirks (“blah blah blah” and “scouts honour” and his deceptive nature in promising to help to get people on his side even though he’s just using them)
This was so beautiful to watch, a new story to meg and u coveyed so much emotion through every detail. This is professional level and I really hope more people will be able to see your art. You’ve just gain a new happy follower
That's it. Disney needs to hire you to do their "remakes" but with the princesses turned villains. This one, just like the Anna and Mirabel ones, gave me chills. It is so well done and I love seeing these.
I would love to see a Belle villain song, instead of her loving the beast for who he is, she is manipulating the Beast because she sees how vulnerable he is, how he yearns for love that only she can provide.
If I had to choose an Olympian to bow to, I would definitely choose Meg, even in this version. I know Greek mythology pretty well, and they’re all completely crazy. If I had to choose a real one, it would be Hestia and if it is not counted, Hades, it is the one who has done the least horror, death is equal for all.
yes but how will she take over the olymp she has hades power yes still hades needed the titans i cant think of any allies she could have so if she cant do it herself how will she
@@clemdarkangel Hestia is just the most sweet person ever. With a few guards to kill who needs to be because Hestia wouldn’t do that her reign would be brilliant.
@@baconlordthereal she’s trying to get the loyalty of the underworld people and probably going to make a human army. Plus Hera in mythology would definitely be on her side if she’s taking down Zeus.
The story, the singing, the YELLOW EYES AND BLUE HAIR at the end! Not to mention the animatic itself! Amazing as always, Lydia Edit: ASJSJSJJD WHAT THE HECK IVE NEVER GOTTEN THIS MANY LIKES TYSM-
I think what makes this one one of my favourites is just how Megara opens with “Hades is gone, i killed him”, like just the sheer level of nonchalance, even in light of the fact that killing a god is likely much harder in The Hercules universe And meg makes it sound like she just “fired” him (or did she??)
I’m sorry how are we not talking about how Meg actively SLAYS (pun intended) in her Queen of the Underworld outfit with Hades’ blue hair?!? HELLO?! HOLY COW THAT WAS COOL.
@Ares99999 There is a mythological Megara, but she's much different from the movie version and doesn't have the nickname "Meg". Hera drives Heracles temporarily insane and causes him to murder his and Megara's children (and Megara herself too in some versions).
I can't wait to see if you do any more princess villain songs! It would be fun to see one for Tiana! Like, a villain version of Almost There or Dig A Little Deeper. And the story could be that Naveen betrayed her and left her to stay as a frog while he went to get a kiss from Charlotte in order to become human again. So, to regain her human form, Tiana would have dived into the use of voodoo/shadow magic of her own, basically becoming more powerful than Facilier. She wanted revenge on both of the men that wronged her, Naveen and Facilier.
👑🐸 Literally Tiana was my first thought except I was thinking Tiana work WITH Facilier (who secretly kills Lawrence, the only other witness to the truth) to get revenge on Charolette and Naveen who she THINKS betrayed her (for extra tragic effect). Once Tiana kills Charolette and the Shadow Man kills Big Daddy, they each take their crowns (respectively) and proclaim themselves the Mardi Gras King and Queen. Tiana and the Shadow Man maybe be a power couple for a bit but then Tiana becomes overcome with lust for complete power. She breaks the talisman to send Dr. Facilier to the underworld and keeps his tombstone on her wall as a trophy. Now the as Vodoo Queen, she commands the dark spirits and has voodoo powers which she uses to force the spirits of Naveen and Charlotte to do her bidding.
Also, I was thinking the song could end with the line “and I’ve got friends on the other side” and the main song be “Almost There” because Tiana didn’t get what she wanted when doing things the right way and now she’s out to get what she wants no matter the cost. “There ain’t nothing gonna stop me now cause I’m almost there”!
Saw another AU a while back where Tiana getting involved with voodoo to turn human meant she retained some frog features (so she still had the tongue/webbed hands and feet and slime...I mean mucus, but still looked distinctly Tiana) or kept gradually turning back so needed to provide more and more for her "friends" and honestly I'd love that. It parallels the desperation of Facilier needing to keep his friends happy while trying to stay cool and calm.
the lack of views on this is criminal. What a well-executed villain arc. Totally believable, tragic, sympathetic, and this one in particular fits *right* in line with Greek myth, too. Animatic is awesome, storytelling on point, performance is captivating. I truly can't believe this isn't going full-on viral.
What I noticed in all the villian songs so far is that every princess have dark circles and worn eyes. Looking as though everything they've done to do good, has sucked the energy from their soul and they're just exhausted and done with it all. 👑👑
This is really good! Also ironically Hades was one of the few gods in the Greek pantheon who wasn’t a completely awful person, but due to the modern collective consciousness and Hades being associated with the underworld he is usually rewritten as a “satan” archetype
Especially since some of the versions had Persephone willingly go with him. Hades is still leagues better than frat boy Zeus and the Mountain of douche gods
@celestedivine131 No it's not. This Demeter slander is such bullshit. She was a mother who went to the ends of the earth to rescue her kidnapped daughter.
@drippytheinkwing5915 Not being as bad doesn't make him good. Hestia deserves the praise, since she never did anything wrong once and willingly gave up her seat on Olympus because the rest of the gods were so crazy.
Holy crap! This was stunning! The vocals with the animatic were flawless! It made you not only feel bad for what Meg went through but also made you feel her fiery passion and how badass she is! Well done! I’m gonna go watch this 100 more times!
THIS IS AMAZING LYDIA THE VOCALS, THE VOICE ACTING AND THE ARTIST DID AN AMAZING JOB TOO BRO THE ART AND ANIMATION IS AMAZING EVERYTHING, I LOVE THIS SO MUCH 😭😭
NOT THE LITTLE GO THE DISTANCE REFERENCE! I'm SO glad your videos were recommended to me! You have amazing talent and storytelling skills! I wish this were an actual series because I would TOTALLY binge all of it
I think despite her rage, she still loves Hercules. Which is why she says, "When I finally rule, I'll be free of you " Probably believing once she becomes queen, she won't need love.
Oh my, this is an absolute banger and Megara having Hades' look in her attires at the end is just epic. There's something sinister yet regal with the vibes she carried there. This is definitely your best Disney princess villains' potrayal you've ever created, a masterpiece as well, the neat yet so expressive animatic, your angelic voice giving such a haunting performance as a melancholy yet strong Megara just make me goosebumps, delivering her pain and sorrow, I can't help but hoping she'll succeeded in her plan because she's so much potential just from the way you wrote her to be. You and your team has done a great job at making this video a success, from the composer, the animator, the writer of the story and your own talent, it turned out to be a splendid outcome.
I love it so much. Meg is one of my favourite Disney characters and this works so well for her. I can just imagine her slowly growing bitter over time.
I love the fact that this is basically the theme song of a evil God au I've been working on. Its basically a fanfiction because the characters are from a comfort show of mine but, its basically about a forgotten son of Hades and Persephone that was promised to have power however, Zuse didn't keep the promise so he has to be all these different gods from other pantheons which ends up making him go insane pretty much and he plans to take over and get what he deserves
I feel like Megan would be those misunderstood yet still evil type of villain. She’d use men as pets and women as an army, proving that even men can be overpowered since she was betrayed by one. By fear they all bow down…then it’s the gods/goddesses,what do the feel? Anger? Sadness? Hatred? I feel like Persephone would be devastated her love was killed but by her hatred also covered of her father she would join Meg planning to destroy any men. So did Medusa and believe me she was excited to take her revenge on those who wronged her,so not only did Meg get her revenge and get a whole empire she also got one of the two most entered goddesses. Medusa..and Persephone.
@@natalieblack238 oh yeah so far I have just focused more in Medusa and Persephone since they came in my interest first,I just started to get more into mythology so yeah I’ll keep that in mind lol.
This honestly inspired me to make a story so I'll just put it here in the comments: Rampaging souls of the undead warriors scrolled the lands as the Gods looked down upon Greece from their thrones. Zeus held a fearful face as he watched all his human subjects getting burned and attacked by the malformed human souls. Hercules stood by his father's side, his face showed more of his fear than his father. He turned to his father and told him that he would go and find the cause of all the chaos that run rampant on this land. Zeus agreed, arming him with a sword and shield, he sent his son to the underworld. Hercules fought through the weeping, desperate souls who begged him for help. He was ignorant of that and continued on to reach Hades' castle and teach the Underworld's king a lesson. Upon reaching the door to the throne room he stopped, a laugh was heard from behind the door but it wasn't Hades' laugh, no. It sounded like it came from a woman and that woman's voice sounded a bit too familiar for his liking. He shrugged of his hesitation and threw open the doors. His eyes widened at the sight of who sat on the throne. It wasn't his uncle, but rather, his ex-lover Megara. He fumbles back in confusion before sucking his teeth and marching towards her in a courageous stance. "Oh Herc! Glad of you to join the party! It was really getting boring with all these same reports of attacking the humans, that I'm just so glad you finally decided to stop by!" Meg said with a playful yet malicious tone. Hercules glared at her then pointed his sword at her. With a strong and firm voice, he asked "Where is Hades!?" only to be responded with a loud, mocking laugh. Megara was laughing at him. He stood wide-eyed as she said back to him "Hades is dead. I killed him, took over the throne, blah blah blah~ and now I have you right here." her tone was still in a mockingly happily way but was darker than her original tone of voice. "You know, I wasn't exactly expecting you to be here... More of a 70/100 but you always have to play hero in order to get everybody to love you! You didn't play hero when I was dying though. You simply left without saying a word and gave me a look of disgust like I didn't help you out on each step of the way the moment we met." Megara ranted on as she stood from her throne and walked down. She snaked herself around Hercules like a snake provoking it's prey. Hercules was still frozen from shock as Megara brought out her special little elixer that turned gods into humans. It was that same one that Hades used on Hercules. Except, she modified it. You don't need to drink every last drop in order to turn human, you just need to inject a perfect sum into your victim's body. With a small pin coated in the elixer, she nears it to Hercules' neck. She closes her mouth to Hercules' ear and whispers with a smirk "And this is how I get my revenge." She stuck the pin into Hercules, him immediately feeling the effects. He tried to push Megara away but the elixer had already worked on Hercules thus making his attack useless. She cackled at his face as he fell to the floor. He looks up at her, enraged. "What did you do to me!?" He yelled as he pounced up from the floor and attempted to punch Megara. She only shook out her index finger out, near her face, and blocked Hercules' attack. He falters back and runs to get his sword. Megara kicks him down and now she stood over his body with her foot pinning down the, now human, god. Megara uses her newfound power to drag the sword into her hands. She held it firmly as she spoke to Hercules with a violent and crazed tone. "You won't be the only one Hercules. Your father, your mother, all of Olympus and the people of Greece will now fall by my hand. And its all. your. fault " She raises the sword above Hercules' head as he pleaded out. "No! Megara, please! W-We can't talk about this! Please-" His pleas were cut off by the sword that he once held, going through his skull. With Hercules dead, there were very few obstacles left in Megara's path. She sighed, pulling back from her stance. "Pain! Panic!" she called out. Two little demons rushing to her quickly. "Ye-yes, your highness of darkness sir- I mean, ma'am!" Panic greeted as Pain stood nervously beside him. She gently put the sword near Panic, gesturing him to take it. He was hesitant at first but took the sword out of her hand. The weight of the sword had to be supported by both the demons, who then followed Meg as she went to sit on her throne. They positioned it near her and waited for their next command. "Pain, Panic." Megara called in a gentler voice. The both immediately responded. "Yes my liege?" Pain asked. Megara pointed at the body of Hercules. "Get rid of the body, and get the soul of Hercules. I have plans for it." Megara ordered, the two imps hurriedly getting too it. As they slowly dragged the body away, Megara lost herself deep in her rageful mind. With a deep breath, she relaxes on her throne. What an eventful afterlife she now gets to live. She smirks, how exciting.
Okay if that became a tv show or movie I’d love to watch that. Heck even it there was a What If series of the Evil Princesses like the Marvel What If, I’d take it.
The song is absolutely wonderful. Kinda makes you feel like she isn't a villain at all. She is so relatable and let's be honest greek gods are far from perfect or good. It's a villain you kinda wanna root for or even save until she crosses the line into irredeemable madness.
🤩 Ok fantastic animation (Meg SLAYED the underworld Queen dress), great jazzy rendition of the original song, great vocals for the song, and very cool storyline!
As a strong fan of ancient mythology, this fits in creepily well with the myths of succession; the gods were all destined to one day be usurped as they usurped the titans and kronos usurped his father. Zeus may have defeated Tython, but Megara might get the job done. Well done and great story work!
as a trpg person, an ENTIRE campaign was painted in my mind featuring her as the villain. i can see it all now and it's absolutely FIRE jesus that was fantastic! great work, and hella mega super earned all these subs
This is by far the best villain’s song so far! The vocals and lyrics really give a feel of Meg’s shift to villainy with a Jazzy song! The animation is great too, especially since it’s an entire storyline! Meg slays her Underworld Queen dress.
Woah. I’ve never seen Hercules, but I’m in awe. And that twisted little bit of ‘I’ll Go the Distance’… terrifying. I’ve only ever heard a slowed, angelic version back when I played Jafar in Descendants. Everyone backstage had to sing a version of it during the coronation scene, and it was lovely. This is just as slow as it, but instead minor, dark, and twisted. It gives me chills.
I LITERALLY CAN’T EXPLAIN MY LOVE FOR THIS holy shit I’m a sucker for female villains and her entire general vibe and her goals for the throne- AMAZING. Looks like she’ll do anything for power- my kinda villain
Y'know which one i would SO love to see done? Esmeralda's 'God Help the Outcasts' from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Dunno why i could see that one being interesting, but it sprung to mind when i saw someone suggest Lydia maybe do some of the lesser known princesses. I absolutely LOVED The Hunchback of Notre Dame when i was in High School and it's something of a comfort movie to me. -I know, i'm weird because that movie is dark af for the most part sksksksk---
I’m not sure if it’s coincidence or VERY clever writing, but I love that your text includes the line “owed and see you” (1:14), which could be pronounced as ‘Odyssey’. 😍
Honestly. Out of all the songs, it's fitting for this one to have been turned into a Greek tragedy. Megara's lore in Greek mythology already was sad enough as the first wife of Heracles (only because Hera was a vengeful prick). But a Disney Heracles who didn't go back for her after she tried to make amends for her betrayal? The story honestly writes itself. Amazing animatic, amazing voice work on the song. Love it all around!
I really love your voice - you bring out the Pain Meg's feeling after beeing betrayed. Really good Job, Hercules is my most seen and loved Walt Disney Movie by far, and i love what you have done to Meg in her Villanous State.
This one is my favourite so far. The acting, the amazing voice of yours, the animatic is great, plus the details and the complete change in the song. I love the fact that Megara is wearing heels, simbolizing how powerful she is now, plus the sarcasm that was always part of the character is shining in this. And the change in the attitude in the end, just after she remember what Hercules did to her, theres where she decided to take off her mask to her future slaves...
🤔 This is phenomenal but if Meg killed Hades, wouldn’t the underworld be his final destination as another lost soul? Also, Meg setting up a party for all the dead souls instead of how Hades treated them (as floating waste in the river) was a nice touch.
Depends on what mythological rules we are following. In some when someone like Hades is hard to kill and the only way to actually kill him is to cut him up and make sure he is never put back to gather. In some if you killed a person like hades he doesn’t die, he ceases to exist as their body and soul are one in the same. Another is she stole all his power making him mortal and in that way the lord of death is no more

I always thought that Meg should have become a goddess at the end of the movie, for her heroic deed of sacrificing herself to save the son of Zeus. Then Hercules would have gotten his lifelong dream AND the love of his life. But this? Meg turning into an evil goddess, the ruler of the Underworld in Hades' place? This is a great AU. I love it.
Oh my god I can’t even BEGIN to tell you how good this was. The animatic, the arrangement, your voice, it all works so well!! This is by far the best cover you’ve posted in terms of quality!! ❤

I don’t think you will see it but I have to express the amount of love and appreciation that I have for your work. There is a whole new connotation that you offer to these covers. You have a real talent for writing. You capture the essence of a song and manage to twist the meaning of it while gaining the idea of the song to villainize it. The host of this cover has produced a masterpiece. It's really an exceptional work and it's so beautiful. The pain in the voice that you give her, the rage, everything is so well done. You have a huge future in voice acting and song writing. I can't wait for next week's. You are a true inspiration Lydia ✨
I get the impression from Meg's villain song that after killing Hades, she not only wants to get back at the gods. She also wants to get back at Hercules for betraying her. So, this song has both a universal and personal component to it. Meg was heartbroken after Hercules left her alone. So, all that's left now are feelings of bitterness and revenge. I got that from the middle part of the song before the finale when she got Hades powers. The music is dark and tender at the same time. The gods better watch out! I wonder if there are any fan fictions inspired by this song.
Would anyone else love it if this was made into a story? As in the original greek mythology Megra also didn't have a happy ending i think it be interesting
This could very easily be slightly rewritten to be an anthem for the current state of being a Drag Queen in this country (US) and I am honestly HERE for it. This was brilliantly written and I adore the storyline! Keep up the fantastic work.

I love how she asks the guy playing piano to play something a little mellower, but as she sings more intensely, he gets more into the song, and plays fiercer, along with other instruments chiming in too.
The pianist knows how to keep up with the singer.
they werent paid enough to care about Meg's intentions so they just went along 😃
@@katniss667 So true, hahahah.
I love how meg looks partially exhausted in the beginning, like she's tired of absolutely everything.

True mood

imagine your saviour walked away. watch the movie and read the mythology. She was horribly dead when he caught her. It wasn't straight back to Hades. It was an implication of straight rape and torment. Exhausted? I bet she was. No wonder she took over. Read between the lines knowing how brutal these stories can be.
Just one question: how did she get her heels😂?
This take really takes the saying, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." to a bone-chilling level. On that note, getting heartbroken a second time would definitely push Megara over the edge enough to seek power in order to remain untouchable forevermore.
Now hells fury is a women scorned
As someone who has been heartbroken a second time- I can confirm.
I absolutely loved Megara's design at the end, the fact that she took on Hades' physical traits because she became the new ruler of the underworld, as if those traits were specific to the role is a great decision to make in context to the Disney.
OBJECTION!! It is ( checks notes) "Hell hath no fury like a woman's SCORN". Thank you.
"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." should be noted is also a reference to the Furry Megara, along side her two sisters which were servants of Hades
OMG. I LOVE MEGARA AND I HAVE LOVED THIS SAYING EVER SINCE I LEARNT IT A FEW MONTHS AGO. TYSM YOU LITERQLLY JUST MADE MY DAY

An absolute masterpiece. I immediately became "Team Meg" when her hair started turning blue as Hades' power began to flow through her and the music was absolutely on-point, from start to finish. The writers at Disney could learn a thing or two from this. ❤
ikr
Honestly they just need to get some of the creators from youtube to check their scripts and write their songs.
I love this. It would also fit really well with the original Megara from Greek mythology. In the original legend Meg is Heracles’s first wife who he murders along with their children in a fit of rage caused by Hera. So it makes sense that she would want revenge
yes just yes please
but that's Hera fault though, i know original heracules was basically a dull brute( heroic but still dull) but his labors were in part because he committed that crime.
It’s also got some basis in canon - Hade DID have a villain song in the cartoon, and it was along the same lines.
The likes are at a funny number so have my comment instead.
Yeah. The story from here would be epic and heartbreaking.
Plus it's like she's moving past the age the gods and into the age of humanity.
Megara would be the One Goddess Kratos would side with. Cause she started as a Human.
I absolutely love how the pianist still plays even after being told Hades was killed. Love it!
You mean Hades!
@@eye-conicben1048 Yes, sorry!

YES
I agree I would love to see that
Hades seeing this unfolds: Dang I should have told him why I was doing all that way before... Well less work and more popcorn for me
@@aliceandrade7164Imagine Hades actually helping and growing to care about him.
It would be interesting to see how that will be like I imagine
The lyrics fit her personality so well? Like the “scouts honor” thing and the “blah blah blah” at the beginning. It’s incredible. Obviously the singing and animation is godly (see what I did there), but I’m honestly in awe at the EXPERIENCE that is this video ❤

Her and Rapunzel make the most compelling villains. Their stories literally just brushed with potential epic villain arcs.

Edit: ASJSJSJJD WHAT THE HECK IVE NEVER GOTTEN THIS MANY LIKES TYSM-
I think what makes this one one of my favourites is just how Megara opens with “Hades is gone, i killed him”, like just the sheer level of nonchalance, even in light of the fact that killing a god is likely much harder in The Hercules universe
And meg makes it sound like she just “fired” him (or did she??)
I’m sorry how are we not talking about how Meg actively SLAYS (pun intended) in her Queen of the Underworld outfit with Hades’ blue hair?!? HELLO?! HOLY COW THAT WAS COOL.
Given the Mythological actions of Heracles this actually feels like a very fitting story and song, I absolutely love it.
There's no Meg in Mythology. This is the Disney Version, and in the Disney Version, Hercules is a genuine good guy.
@Ares99999 There is a mythological Megara, but she's much different from the movie version and doesn't have the nickname "Meg".
Hera drives Heracles temporarily insane and causes him to murder his and Megara's children (and Megara herself too in some versions).
“Hades is dead. I killed him. Blah blah blah” that’s such a Meg way to break news. I love it
I can't wait to see if you do any more princess villain songs! She wanted revenge on both of the men that wronged her, Naveen and Facilier.
this would be SO perfect omg
Or she accepts Facilier’s deal and starts working with him
Saw another AU a while back where Tiana getting involved with voodoo to turn human meant she retained some frog features (so she still had the tongue/webbed hands and feet and slime...I mean mucus, but still looked distinctly Tiana) or kept gradually turning back so needed to provide more and more for her "friends" and honestly I'd love that.
they also lack the love in their eyes (if that makes sense)
This is really good! Also ironically Hades was one of the few gods in the Greek pantheon who wasn’t a completely awful person, but due to the modern collective consciousness and Hades being associated with the underworld he is usually rewritten as a “satan” archetype
Fr! Kidnapping is *tame* compared to what folks like Zeus got up to. We stan Hades in not being as complete of a douchebag as the other gods!
Especially since some of the versions had Persephone willingly go with him. Hades is still leagues better than frat boy Zeus and the Mountain of douche gods
@@artisticgarbage708in most versions the kidnap was more of a "lets run away together from ur crazy mom, my love"

This honestly inspired me to make a story so I'll just put it here in the comments:
Rampaging souls of the undead warriors scrolled the lands as the Gods looked down upon Greece from their thrones.
And its all. your. fault "
She raises the sword above Hercules' head as he pleaded out.

He could be the only one left caught in the river, like he was stuck at the end of the movie.
I think whatever spell Meg used to kill him wouldve obliterated his soul- since he’s a god having a soul may mean he can return and try to take over
Depends on what mythological rules we are following.

Another is she stole all his power making him mortal and in that way the lord of death is no more
@@user-mu8ok5xf8d Ah ok. Good insight!
I normally don't comment but wow! This is amazing and I love your voice and that ending it felt so powerful
I love it.
I mean she looks legendary and she actually has a reason to be a villain great story write
An amazing piece, my dear! And on my 30th birthday no less! Thank you! This was a treat and a step up with the animation. Well done.
Happy belated birthday!
2:16 I’m???? Dead??????????? The way the music drops off????? 🤌
Oh my god I can’t even BEGIN to tell you how good this was. The animatic, the arrangement, your voice, it all works so well!! This is by far the best cover you’ve posted in terms of quality!! ❤
I absolutely love this Disney Princesses as villains' song rewrite series! The vocals and the animation are absolutely phenomenal! Makes me imagine Lydia killing it as she does a solo of "What Comes Around Goes Around" from the Villain's Lair TH-cam series.
This sounds like it could also be a villain song for Azula, if the olympians were the 3 other nations. Great job!
So Hercules will kill Meg. That's very sad.
Would anyone else love it if this was made into a story? As in the original greek mythology Megra also didn't have a happy ending i think it be interesting
OH MY GOSH. The "Go The Distance" reference?! I'm crying and ready to burn it all down with her. Let's go babe, a new Queen is here.
This could very easily be slightly rewritten to be an anthem for the current state of being a Drag Queen in this country (US) and I am honestly HERE for it. This was brilliantly written and I adore the storyline! Keep up the fantastic work.
Idk how this happened, but I just woke up. Guess my body gained an instinct/intuition anytime you're about to drop a song 💀
Edit 1: *animatic!!!*
Edit 2 finished: I WANNA SMACK SMTH THAT WAS SO GOOD! It's just gahhhh you're so talented Lydia! 👏👏👏
There's something about the beginning that reminds me of Harley Quinn killing the Joker. You are doing an excellent job, keep it up and I look forward to hearing your next song🥰🥰
Huge Hercules movie fan here, this was AMAZING!!! And it fits Meg so well too! Great job!
It does feel like meg would do this
if Hercules just left and ignored her hurt in pain it feels this could be canon
This is so good! The whole part that goes like "when I finally rule, I'll be free of you" totally HITS and Idk why.
1:32 Why’s she doing a Saturn Mudra? And its so fitting because she’s greek 😂
The art is glorious, my goodness you're amazing!
THIS IS SO GOOD, chills all the way through!! The rhythm change, the vocals, the lore
This is one of the best evil takes I've seen from you, the moment I saw this video like last week, I've played it on repeat and just kept on watching the amazing animation. Man, I would love to see this story expanded, I really want to see evil Megara get everything she wanted and a evil Meg vs Hercules moment.
i feel like you would be an amazing voice actor. like the lines in the beginning and the way you delivered them blew me away, and then obviously your singing is gorgeous. wow.
Thumbs up for the pianist who kept up with meg making her takeover absolutely epic….my dude deserves a raise😂
