The Elantra N was my first car I bought in iracing and haven’t touched it since I unlocked GT4 and GT3 racing. But I forgot how to drive the damned thing bc I daily a FWD and compete in autocross with a FWD but all of my RWD and AWD car racing got me used to (Throttle=angle)
for Elantra launch I use full throttle, clutch at bite point + handbrake which I have mapped to a button on my wheel ... on green light release handbrake and the slowly bleed off clutch
I just started getting into TCR's in iRacing. The biggest issue I'm currently running into is when I'm coming into a turn that requires a lower gear when I go to downshift it doesn't immediately downshift. My best guess it that the car is not in the right RPM for the down shift.
Stops the front wheels from doing too much braking meaning you have more grip on turn in. Can mean the rear end gets a bit waggy but once you know what to expect, you can really throw it round the corners.
The problem I am having is launch. I have driven these cars for thousands of miles on RaceRoom and in iRacing there is no launch control. I don't have a dual clutch system like everyone is saying you need to have. I start like shit every time and fall back then just get up to about 7th or 5th because I bogged off the line. It's so damn frustrating that they don't have launch control like WTCR.
Sounds like you're driving a Hyundai. The Civic will get off the line with a button clutch and the Audi doesn't have a clutch at all so you get perfect launches. It might be worth buying the Audi or Civic if you're worried about losing those places. I do have a cunning plan for the Hyundai but it's not ready yet.
I've never changed it personally but I really recommend joining our Discord as we have a great group of knowledgeable TCR drivers who can give you a steer.
4 should be fine. You can lean on ABS a lot when braking in a straight line, but you need to be completely out of it by the time you want to turn in. Otherwise, you won't do any turning. Remember that ABS can kick in while you are turning and trailbraking which can also really hurt your turn in.

That's right. A lot of cars won't let you downshift too quickly so you have to time your pulls with your braking.
