You know, one of the hardest things about being a mom is that you don't just let go once and be done with it. It's this series of letting go again and again. 18 is a big one and I struggled too so i understand how you feel. It definitely hit me most with my daughter and she is my youngest so it was like a double whammy. I had to do some letting go when she turned 18, that whole legal adult thing comes with a lot of rules where you basically aren't their advocate anymore and can't even do simple things like scheduling appointments. You let go more when they go away to school, then yet again when they move out/get married and are really on their own. It's such a deep sense of loss and grieving as a mother even tho they're still right there! Thankfully for you, you still have the boys at home. When I found myself with an empty nest I honestly didn't know what to do with myself. It felt like I had completely lost my identity because I'd been mom for so long I didn't really know who I was without that. This season of life is a tough one Patricia, I just want you to know that you're not alone in your feelings about this and we are all here to support you. It gets better I promise. It's kind of a neat thing (after the hurting subsides) to find yourself in the middle of your life discovering who you are again and having more time explore your interests outside of motherhood. As a Mom of boys, when they hit that "certain age" or when they head off to post-secondary school part of your ❤ goes with them. This bittersweet feeling will eventually subside. Your a great Mama, Patricia! 🤗
Patricia, for the past 2 yrs the majority of new scents have decreased in strength. It became noticeable two yrs ago but last year more people were commenting about it. I’d love the days back when there was no “4” on the dishes and photos didn’t show a dang half a bar in the warmer. Most all of us who’ve been around a long time like strong bars. I’d rather a price increase than doubling up on cubes. Sorry, I just get a bit irritated because I know they can do better.
Yes - I’ve tried to stick to my cubes that I’ve always used. If a scent isn’t strong enough for my needs I almost always just move on and don’t repurchase. Otherwise it becomes way too expensive to justify (imo)

I think you are just normal after reading the comments. 😊 Adult children are hard but awesome in their own way. You still have all the mama feels but you have to have healthy boundaries. It’s tough sometimes. We have one son and he is 33. Seems like yesterday he was 18. Being a mom is the hardest job ever and also the best job! ❤️ When they are little they step on your toes and when they grow up they step on your heart. Hugs.
I enjoy the ramble.. it makes the video seem like a friends conversation not a sterile type of thing… my whole family is back in the house plus 3 grandkids… they will always come home… you will eventually enjoy the adult relationship with your daughter…
I’m taking my oldest daughter to college next week and it’s hitting me that she’s leaving. It’s hard to watch them leave but I’m excited to watch her grow into her future 🧡 hugs to you and know we’re going through it together 😢

My 18 year old started going to her college everyday this week for cheer practice. It feels like on one hand she’s a kindergartener again making new friends and mom is relieved when she mentions going to eat with them etc. the other part of me wants to cry and tell her nooooo! It’s not easy mama! Hugs!

Its tough when they grow up but trust me they always need mom. They go through that period from about 18 to 24 where they know more than you, but then they go back to asking mom for advice, especially once there are grandkids. By the way, grandkids are even more fun than your own kids, so you have those to look forward to.
Mom to young kids here- it does go way too quickly and I can’t even imagine what things will be like when my oldest turns 18. I’m most definitely a summer scent girl, but I’m excited to smell a lot of these!

I have an only child, my beautiful daughter who just turned 23. It was so hard when she went to college (it was only 45 min away) but still. It does get better. And we’re still so close! She comes home and we’re always on FaceTime. There’s always that little sadness/bittersweet going into her room. Also I basically sobbed at her kindergarten graduation! Really embarrassing lol. Hi Patricia, The hardest part was when my daughter left for college and started living a life away from us. 4 years later I discovered the remote control and the power I had holding it, lol! Then she came home and I lost the remote. They do grow so fast. Cherish the young ones and when they get older, hope for grandchildren, lol! Grampy smell, lol! I'm intrigued that some of the scents have clove & cardamom which to me add a warmth and coziness to a scent. But they may not appear till they are warmed up. Thanks for the reviews!

Its hard as our babies get older mine our 16 (17 in December) and 14 so im a few years behind you but im already dreading them turning 18 and even more when the time comes for them to move out. We got a lot of mahogany and brown sugar notes this season im not sure how im going to feel about the mahogany but im excited about all the brown sugar.
I found all my bars for the new scents fairly strong. Especially Fall Feelin. Was knock me off my feet strong and not a good smell on the bottom of it to my nose. Top of the bar smelled like a nice fall scent. Hopefully warming it will blend nicely. I enjoy the new line up, make me snicker(doodle) is quite good I think.
Love Palo santo and cinnamon one of my favorites. Make me snickerdoodle is good and I love Dashing but not sure it performed very good. I’ll have to try it again
Ironically, I hear so many people complain that there aren’t enough bakery scents to choose from. At SFR you got to choose a shirt based off your favorite scent category and each category was a different color. Bakery was pink shirts and there were less bakery shirts than any other category.
I like the sound of dashing- and like that it's similar to Ravenclaw. Interested to see which one will be stronger! Was really hoping for some great bakery but it doesn't really sound like they did that. Oh well. I still like pumpkin cinnamon swirl and pumpkin roll and we've got those!
I should say I smell Ravenclaw differently than most. To me It’s like a fresh vanilla body care scent / cologne with earthy qualities. I don’t smell books.
I remember seeing the new fragrances in Region 3 and one of the scents was Apple & White Cedar. It had the same notes as the Frosted Cedar we have in Region 1 so I’m wondering if they just gave them the same scent just named differently and with a different design.
I thought st Nickerdoodle for Dutch Apple as well with something else. We are just starting the teenage phase where mom isn’t cool anymore. Inhale Exhale
So disappointed in scentsy over the past 2 years. Scents are so much lighter, yet they are making more $$$. Do not even get me started on the Bakery section
One problem with Scentsy is they are usually a year or so ahead with their planning. I could be wrong on the exact time. But the issue is they can’t quickly correct on the fly when we complain about scent availability. In about 2 years they will probably have a whole bunch of bakery trying to correct for our current complaints. My worry is the scents won’t be good enough, or maybe it will be too little too late. They’re hemorrhaging bakery lovers now to other companies! They need to add in some that are fantastic on appeal and perform well. Hopefullly Jan Bbmb will help.

Yes, plus some of those spice leaf notes I suspect act in a similar way but maybe an earthy / grounded warmth

Love Palo santo and cinnamon one of my favorites. Make me snickerdoodle is good and I love Dashing but not sure it performed very good. I’ll have to try it again

Ironically, I hear so many people complain that there aren’t enough bakery scents to choose from. At SFR you got to choose a shirt based off your favorite scent category and each category was a different color. Bakery was pink shirts and there were less bakery shirts than any other category.
Maybe that’s because it’s Scentsys bakery? - they didn’t offer a vendor wax bakery shirt

I like the sound of dashing- and like that it's similar to Ravenclaw. Interested to see which one will be stronger! Was really hoping for some great bakery but it doesn't really sound like they did that. Oh well. I still like pumpkin cinnamon swirl and pumpkin roll and we've got those!
I should say I smell Ravenclaw differently than most. To me It’s like a fresh vanilla body care scent / cologne with earthy qualities. I don’t smell books.

I remember seeing the new fragrances in Region 3 and one of the scents was Apple & White Cedar. It had the same notes as the Frosted Cedar we have in Region 1 so I’m wondering if they just gave them the same scent just named differently and with a different design.

I was very disappointed as I also felt all the new scents but one or two were light. Harvest was better for sure.
Which were the two that were not light?
It’s hard to know it that if from bring new or just the nature of each scent.

Yes - sage is usually a scary note but depending on what it’s with I can deal
So disappointed in scentsy over the past 2 years. Scents are so much lighter, yet they are making more $$$. Do not even get me started on the Bakery section
One problem with Scentsy is they are usually a year or so ahead with their planning. I could be wrong on the exact time. But the issue is they can’t quickly correct on the fly when we complain about scent availability. In about 2 years they will probably have a whole bunch of bakery trying to correct for our current complaints. My worry is the scents won’t be good enough, or maybe it will be too little too late. They’re hemorrhaging bakery lovers now to other companies! They need to add in some that are fantastic on appeal and perform well. Hopefullly Jan Bbmb will help.
