Just last week I made a 3d printed adapter for these 7mm motor connections to go out to 3/4 PVC. It eliminates the slop of the screw in the shaft since it's a tight fit. It replaces the blue and red pex you're using. You can hear the slop I'm referring to when the motor is shaken around in the video at 4:16, although it's very minimal due to your clever use of the two pex sizes. Nice solution!

I have a motor on reindeer Animate that turns, but the deer in only supposed go up and down. There is a small rod that comes from the up and down part and there was an eye hook that went around the rod and extended down and connected to the motor. How would I connect it

I cosplay and plan to install this on a grogu head which means this would eliminate the power cord because I would be out and about. Do you know the best type of battery back that could power this for a while?
@@hurrikanesummers they use 120v to power so I am unaware of a cheap way of doing it unless you get one off Amazon for around $60. You can plug it into battery pack. Or I’d go the Arduino board with a sweep servo for the head and use a 6v battery pack (4 AA) to power up board. What motor can I buy to lift a whole colfin up off the ground and what computerized chip can I buy to control more than 1 thing to activate at the same time or timed....I want you lift a colfin and have a skeleton arm pop out a swing after it lifts up and have fog release as it's lifting and a light be turned on when it lifts and stay up a little while and reverse with light and fog turn off right before the colfin lowers to ground but have tge arm go back in rhght before too
@@ronsokolowski1314 you won’t be able to handle that weight with synchronous motors. You have a lot going on. I also not sure what to recommend that is cheap. You’ll need at least two motors controlled by a controller like a picaboo plus, that allows up to four trigger movements. If not the motor route you’ll need to go the pneumatic route. As far as I know all do. However someone mentioned the DC motors do not. Which I don’t use. But you’ll need to use the ones I have in link. Slower rpm’s seem to need more resistance and faster rpm’s easily turn other way. If that is what you are asking.
You can get these motors out of microwave ovens along with all kinds of other fun things just don't mess around with a magnetron it has beryllium in it and will kill you if you inhale particles
Why is the motor so slow at 4:43 but so quick at 5:13? I bought the same motor and I understand the more rpm in making it faster but I’m curious why yours moves so slowly and then suddenly becomes so quick?
Two different motors. First one was showing the setup (probably 2-3 rpm), second one was one already completed (faster rpm). Since I use so many different rpm’s, it is just preference.
@@stephaniekeating6596 these motors are weak so you have to be creative on how move heavier things (depends what you have in mind). If it is something heavy, I’d go with a wiper motor from somewhere like frightprops.

Says “can’t move things too heavy.” Can it move 20pds on wheels? Also, I need a motor that reverses direction with resistance like you did with the screw….would it change direction when the prop (on wheels) hit a stop-block? Essentially looking to move a 20pd skateboard back and forth in front of my house.
I would need to test how much it can move. With a pushrod it could essentially go back and forth when it hits any resistance over the weight threshold. But when I have my next day off I’ll see how or if it can be done.

The one screw went all the way through both pipes. If you are talking about the screw sticking out a little bit, that is to catch resistance to move opposite direction. My initial screw is a #4 and I only found 1 inch screws. If that is what you are asking?

Blue pipe fits snug to motor fitting, red pipe fits snug on blue, so little give. Guess you can get away with just blue if you but pvc pipe over it and screw it together so no wiggle. But this is the reason why I do it.
The speed will determine the rpm so 2-3 is the slowest and my range is between 2-60rpm, just depends what I buy. They should reverse when any hard friction disrupts turning. Why didn't you put a bolt all the way through the shaft of motor instead of sticking that screw in just a little?

What rpms is the second one you’re showing already assembled? I ordered the ones you linked 5/6 rpms and moves as slow as your 2-3 rpms

Look for the word "Synchronous" and the letters "CW/CCW" in the description of the motor, it stands for, clock wise/counter clock wise.

I don’t understand why you use 2 pipes the red and blue instead of just one pipe.
Stability. They fit tug with the apparatus on top of motor. But you can use however many you want as long as it works for you.
