Thorin Taylor That’s true, but a DSLR is made to take the most stock image as possible so that editors can easily apply effects and lighting. This will help us gauge how much each smartphone uses computational photography. For example we can see if the 7T is to saturated or if the iPhone is shooting too dull

in anandtech reviews samsung is always praised for the accuracy of greenery footage. Go look at the camera section for sony xperia 1 in anandtech, there is a certain greenery image being tested, you will understand when u see the image its almost all green :p
keep in mind the iphone comes with 720p+ lcd 60hz, 5w charger, thick notch, and 3 year old design and performance isn't as good as expected even with the a13. the oneplus is a better phone overall except in the camera department

Giro the Explorer well, this is the second video I saw for him reviewing cameras after (note10+ vs mate 30 pro vs 11 pro max. And it’s the same thing. This is my opinion and this is my judgement which based on an experience. No need for your “if you don’t like it, don’t get it” advice. Keep it for yourself.

I don't know if it's possible but maybe you could do like a blog or a photo album where we can see the actual footage, like the pictures as they were taken so while we watch your video we can look at the actual files and compare. But anyway good job! Edit: I've just noticed your website, maybe you can add there a section called Footage or something like that, plus eventually it could end up hosting one daytime picture with every phone you test, one nightime and then it's easier to compare, these says there are a lot of phones out there

If u use power mode on aod off then s10 will give u more battery time approx. 7 to 8 hrs. I am using s10 exynos. In recent software update there is improvement in battery time.

The color of OnePlus video looks ridiculously saturated probably because i is edited by a Mac. OnePlus uses Rec.601 color space for video. It won't be displayed and processed corrected if you are using a Mac, which display Rec.709 by default. Simply change the color space of the clips back to Rec.601 when editing in Final Cut, it will display properly.

Considering the price of 600$...the OP 7T Camera is a joke. The colours are garbage...a huawei mate 20 pro from last year is doing better camera results.
As a photographer myself, camera is one important feature in a smartphone to me. I always wish OnePlus to push themselves a bit more in this segment. Just use GCam for it ^^. OnePlus's software was always way behind of that what Google is offering on the pixel devices. So why should anybody use the stock camera app at all?

Yes but some of these photos would have been equal if not better with the iPhone 11 Pro because of the telephoto lens. It's kinda unfair that he didn't compare the Galaxy S10e to the iPhone 11, and instead compared current market price, given that the S10 has dropped by $200 since release 6 months ago. The massive drop alone should tell you the value of the phone.

I really liked this one. The scoring system works out great and I really appreciate the crops that show how much real datail those cameras capture. It is so easy to appear to be a nice image when it is scaled down to hide pixel level weakness. So kudos for that part. You might want to focus more on greenery and facial complexion as some manufacturers tend to soften their images to a degree, that viewed at detail it looks like a watercolor filter has been applied. Keep up the great work. You deserve your success!!!
I will say this, I enjoy your videos regardless of the numerical scale/score//values you use, however... I thoroughly enjoy the grading of each individual phone/feature. It's a phenomenal execution, and keeps it accurate.

This video is about trying to compare the lesser phones that each manufacturer offers, instead of just showing the absolute best. Although you’re right, the camera on the S10 is pretty much the same as the Note 10+ so it wouldn’t really matter too much in this case.
They can fix it Im pretty sure they will do it with software updates, you gotta keep in mind that the phone is almost half the price of the other 2 and the company isnt as big as Samsung and Apple

The color of OnePlus video looks ridiculously saturated probably because i is edited by a Mac. OnePlus uses Rec.601 color space for video. It won't be displayed and processed corrected if you are using a Mac, which display Rec.709 by default. Simply change the color space of the clips back to Rec.601 when editing in Final Cut, it will display properly.

In my book you consistently do the best camera comparisons in the business. I do like the new rating system. It does a nice job of summarizing your findings at the end. On a personal note I'm considering getting the 7T so this video was very useful. Thank you.

Yes but some of these photos would have been equal if not better with the iPhone 11 Pro because of the telephoto lens. It's kinda unfair that he didn't compare the Galaxy S10e to the iPhone 11, and instead compared current market price, given that the S10 has dropped by $200 since release 6 months ago. The massive drop alone should tell you the value of the phone.

I'm also impressed by the improvements samsung made with software updates.
I really liked this one. The scoring system works out great and I really appreciate the crops that show how much real datail those cameras capture. It is so easy to appear to be a nice image when it is scaled down to hide pixel level weakness. So kudos for that part. You might want to focus more on greenery and facial complexion as some manufacturers tend to soften their images to a degree, that viewed at detail it looks like a watercolor filter has been applied. Keep up the great work. You deserve your success!!!

Although you’re right, the camera on the S10 is pretty much the same as the Note 10+ so it wouldn’t really matter too much in this case.

OnePlus proves yet again that their camera software is straight garbage.
They can fix it Im pretty sure they will do it with software updates, you gotta keep in mind that the phone is almost half the price of the other 2 and the company isnt as big as Samsung and Apple
And you can also install the google camera software and use it on oneplus, i did it on my oneplus 5T and the pics look pretty good
