I had a gun barrel get dinged up on a trip. Matte finish. For some reason the Oxpho-Blue just didn't want to react with the metal. Maybe it doesn't like stainless? In any case, switched to PERMA BLUE for this application and it came out great. Just wanted to share my thoughts and describe the procedure so you can get great results. Great for repairing blued objects or for completely bluing a project.
