This is how you pay a last tribute to a comedic genius...with laughter. God rest his soul, the great Milton Berle.

hysterical. I'd love to see the entire memorial service. Milton was greatly loved by a LOT of very very bright & talented comics.

I went to Milton Berle's funeral. All of the old-time comedy greats were there, and spoke. It was the most hysterical funeral imaginable. More like a roast -- and all the comedians were in top form. ...Rowby

And I think Milton wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

I was there too. I was 16 at the time, and my grandmother needed an "escort." I laughed till I cried, but thought it was a very odd funeral, seeing as all other funerals I had been to were not funny.

The greatest living argument against human cloning is actually that cameraman. He'll never get a dinner.

Milton also gave great eulogies. When Danny Thomas died, his son-in-law, Phil Donahue, was one of the eulogists and, after he was done speaking, Milton was next and said immediately "...thanks Geraldo!"

This is hilarious. "It's always a challenge to follow Don Rickles. The greatest living argument against human cloning." 😂😂😂😂

On the inside I'd assume Red is torn up. But Red's a smart guy. He probably expected this day well and mentally girded himself to face the inevitable, just as others will on eulogies for him. Great deeds create great men.

sadly, one of the most underated comedian but a heavyweight no doubt. He could kill you with his straight poker face and you couldn't even see it coming even if you were facing him! Gawd, i just love Red, and i know he's up there tickling angels to bits now. God keep you Aaron

Milt is not to many people an obvious choice for a great comedian. His routine is classic, his lines are both old and new, his timing is so perfect it seems easy and anyone could do it. He has no obvious schtick. He's just another old comedian right? Then if you ask any comedian who knew him or saw him or heard him they too would say that is standing being so high amongst his peers is hard to explain, hard to understand. Yet to them, he was often considered the best of them. You have to get beyond the comedy Milton Berle offered to the way he did it, the fast mind, the inventiveness hidden in classic style. Then you realize, he makes it look so easy that you dismiss how hard what he's doing really is. He really was a great comedian.

OMG...that must unique. The funniest funeral in the history of the world. Only the great Jewish comedians of yesteryear could get away with it. RIP Milton Berle, Don Rickles, Red Buttons, Sid Ceaser, Jack Benny, Groucho Marx & brothers, et al. Maybe there's a section for you in Heaven. We will not see your type again here on earth.

Don't think of it as a funeral, or a roast, think of it as a Luau.

All funerals of a well lived life should be filled with laughter and joy, only a life taken far too soon should be morned

It’s hard to watch and hear this. The shaky camera is making the sound muted!

Only a few comments about the most famous two comedians in history who basically inspired every comic after them whether they realize it or not. That's the state of humanity. Forgetfulness and ignorance. I hope the same happens faster for thugs pretending to be music stars.

Rickles was at the funeral. I like Berle but Rickles was on a whole other level.
