I know you hate to hear about paint ,but man you do such a great. Job on these projects you reallyneed to make it look especailly good. I really enjoy your videos and have been watching for several years.
That rig is looking really good! I share your frustration with what TSC and Rural King are turning into. When I’m down south, I love to stop in at Agrisupply and wish they would open some stores up north.
We have had great success using nice heavy duty swivel pintle hitches like you would see on tri-axle dump or double semi trailers, but whatever you decide works.
My brother in law worked for chevron on an oil rig in Brazil where he meet his wife and had to kids his wife is very nice they live in Atlanta now. She was happy to leave the country
Just a thought…as you raise and lower the the 3 point, I think your tank tongue weight is going to go from tongue heavy to the tongue lifting the toolbar…unless I missed something. The centre of weight of the tank will go from in front of the axle to behind the axle. It’s been a fun project to watch, with lots of great ideas! Good luck in the final stages.
On-the-fly changes to design seems to be a given with re-purposing equipment. The best laid plans can go asunder do to clearance issues, etc. You'll have a nice unit when you're done. With a season of use, any upgrades can be added...unless they're a quick rainy day project.
Same luck here with the box stores. If I need a bunch of plumbing stuff I call Paul B Hardware or Rain Flo irrigation here in PA. Both places have big inventories and ship quickly. I agree- there is great satisfaction in building/fabricating something yourself.
Makes you happy... Still kinda scary when it happens though... Lol then ya start thinkin craziness like.... "I can build that thing over there better then the OEM!" Lol Well done bud... I can understand your dads dilemma... If hadnt sloped it though, hed be irritated every time he had to wash the floor or it rained and the door seal was bad.
I agree on TSC. The TSCs in Arkansas aren't great either. Quality Farm Supply in Jonesboro is pretty good, especially for sprayer parts (and plumbing) and/or tillage iron. How good of a quality the shanks and sweeps and stuff are I don't know, but I do know they have them.
Hhhmmm, hitch geometry. I side dress anhydrous ammonia on 30” rows. 1000 gal AA tank set narrow on 60” . The smallish tires on the the AA tank works ok until the ground is wet…. But the narrow track,4 wheel, wagon style running gear, sure tucks in nice behind the bar when turning. But I have more wheel tracks on headlands…choices, choices….
Our TSC is same way. 5 aisles of horse feed. No plumbing. Have two each of hydraulic coupler styles if you are lucky. Lots of trinket shelves too. 🤦♂️
Timken had a big bearing plant and steel plant in Canton Ohio, worked, shut down for 4th of july i was taking pillow blocks from steel mill to machine shop, take 2 down bring 2 back each pillow block was 22,000 lbs,
I'm the guy that you said I wasn't a countey boy. But damn if I couldn't figure out that a set of tractor mounted tanks would be cheaper and way more easy to move from one tiny field to another, like yours. And that's not country boy engineering like this BS.
I have no clue who the hell you are so I guess you haven’t done anything to be that memorable but anyhow….I don’t want liquid fertilizer on or near the tractor. Explained that multiple times. Guess your to busy being full of yourself to pay attention. Oh. And dropping a hitch pin to hook up a tank is a lot easier than mounting saddle tank frames. Then we come to the fact that you aren’t paying for it, building it nor running it so why does how I’m building it even bother you anyway? Unless you left this comment for the sole purpose of trying to start something because you don’t get any attention anywhere else which is what I’m leaning towards?
@Oliver66FarmBoy Yea, Yea. There is a lot that northern people do that I don't understand. Like spending the amount of money you spend growing 159 bushel corn. And I get attention from people who are average or better farmers. The ones that grow 250 plus bushel corn. And have 1500 to 7000 acker farms. Not 2 to 50 acker farms. Your a lost cause. I'll never watch your vulgar talking talk show again.
I’m sure you do since you can’t even spell acre right, nor do you apparently know the difference between “your” and “you’re”. If you brushed up on your English you would at least sound more intelligent. As for your leaving, I’m certain you never watched to begin with otherwise I might have some sort of clue as to who you are and why you have a stick shoved so far up your ass you can taste wood, so you’re no big loss. You didn’t even need to announce it and nobody would have known the difference.
@Oliver66FarmBoy goes to show. Some of us grew up farming, the rest of us grew up under the teachers skirt tail. You really do remind me of Whoop. A good talk show host.
Sorry for taking pride in education so I didn’t spend my life living in poverty I guess? Who’s the one that grew up farming? Also who the heck is Whoop? You also keep avoiding telling me why you have a stick shoved up your ass.
I know you hate to hear about paint ,but man you do such a great. Job on these projects you reallyneed to make it look especailly good. I really enjoy your videos and have been watching for several years.
You deserve to be pleased with yourself. Very impressive and probably better designed and manufactured than you could buy new.
Thanks.
Can't wait to see it preform in the fields, great work
Thanks.
can not wait to see you get this bad ass rig in the field
Thanks.
That rig is looking really good!
I share your frustration with what TSC and Rural King are turning into. When I’m down south, I love to stop in at Agrisupply and wish they would open some stores up north.
They need to.
My shop has the floor sloped to drains too.... what a colossal pain in the ass! Every big fab job i do is a nightmare.
That thing is looking awesome!
Just have to build everything with a built in lean to compensate.
Your project is looking good... it's great when plans come to life!
Thanks.
Great work
Thanks

To sloppy.
Looking good. I'm looking forward to seeing it in the field.
Thanks.
I’m very impressed on all the building you customized it to a great looking cart. Thanks for sharing
Thanks.
Ethan, that's coming together pretty darn good. The way you explain the tongue it sounds like that might work pretty well too. Thanks Michael
It will or it won’t. Only one way to find out.
Well done on the centering jig!!!!!
Thanks
Good job Ethan - nicely done. Thanks for the update. Take care. Fred.
Thanks.
Very nice, and the extra weight may help the coulters get a little more steady depth. She looks good and sturdy.
Certainly won’t hurt.
Great video Farm Boy!!!!!!
Thanks.

Most of them are. They are more than welcome here as long as they do it the right way.
Great job, looks good
Thanks.

No it won’t. The tank is foreword of the axle to begin with.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy sounds good…I figured I missed something. Looking forward to seeing it in action. Good luck
I commented before seeing the tank go on

Yep
Looks good but I’d support the bottom of that tank better in the middle. Only reason I say that is I had one bust on me from lack of center support.
Same luck here with the box stores. If I need a bunch of plumbing stuff I call Paul B Hardware or Rain Flo irrigation here in PA. Both places have big inventories and ship quickly. I agree- there is great satisfaction in building/fabricating something yourself.
Ag is such a dying industry in this corner of the state we don’t have many options anymore.
Makes you happy... Still kinda scary when it happens though... Lol then ya start thinkin craziness like.... "I can build that thing over there better then the OEM!" Lol
Well done bud... I can understand your dads dilemma... If hadnt sloped it though, hed be irritated every time he had to wash the floor or it rained and the door seal was bad.
Double edged sword. But it was never supposed to be any more than a garage.

Shoup and Afro supply need to start a chain of stores is what needs to happen.
As usual, real nice work!
Thanks
Nice!
I know its a drive from you, but zirk welding in eau claire most likely has what you need. They stock tons of plumbing for ag applications.

I didn’t want a narrow track because I was worried it would like to tip over as tall as it would be.
You need a Bomgaars. They actually have useful stuff for a farmer. TSC admits that their consumer base is acreage owners.
There use to be a store for farmers . Remember farm and fleet ? Then they needed to go public to stay in business .
Looking good
Thanks.
You mention OCD.Those tires on there backwards drives me nuts!I know it's the correct way.Just drives my OCD through the roof.
I’m used to it.
Our TSC is same way. 5 aisles of horse feed. No plumbing. Have two each of hydraulic coupler styles if you are lucky. Lots of trinket shelves too. 🤦♂️
Sounds about right.
As far as parts availability, covid still seems to have things jacked up. Especially on rubber and plastic goods.

Those are big bearings.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy Got an idea Timken made bearings lol
I hotglued a chunk of plywood to a tank for a centering jig. Your way works too.
I don’t even think we own a working hot glue gun anymore.
Hot glue is good for temporary stuff and not much else.
Steering axle off combin make steering for turning at the ends?
How do you keep your neighbors from bugging you all the time Farm Boy? Can you make this for me? Only take a minute!!
Never had that problem.
Lilly’s white eye is beautiful
That’s crazy eyes.
why is your cradle off centred
Part 15 :) !!
I guess if you don’t like the content no one is forcing you to watch it
I hope corn market climbs out of toilet so it will be worth putting out nitrogen.the rig looks like a 15000.00 unit
I don’t see that happening this year.
tsc thinks their stuff is gold plated around here i will never go there again period
