    I did coop as part of my study and that time I was not attending any of the classes. Also, to do this coop, I applied for the 'coop work permit' and got one. So my question is what should I select for the question 'Studying full-time while doing this job? A person must be in class at least 15 hours per week during the academic year to be considered full-time. This includes any period of training in the workplace that is part of the study program.' Yes or No and 'Which of these categories does job fall under?', there is no option for coop work permit.

      Hi the work experience during co op doesn’t count towards Canadian experience as it is part of your study

    yes you must put your spouse details to claim points incase having minimum canadian work experience matter on what type of work permit he is into

    Hello Sofia, that's a great hands-on video, I have a couple of queries doing that if you don't mind answering
    1. I already have a Study Application (SDS) in process, is it better to create the EE profile after the study application approval?
    2. I already have my WES evaluation done previously for academic institutions, will that work, or do I need to order a duplicate for IRCC? And when do I order it before or after submitting the express entry profile
    Should I add OINP as a recipient also?
    3. I just have given CELPIP, is there any minimum CLB needed?
    Thanks in advance!

    • @sofiaincanada
      @sofiaincanada  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Archit , Great questions!
      the express entry profile stays valid for 1 year , so I would recommend to create once u hv completed your studies in Canada or abt to complete your 1 year Canadian work experience
      If u hv done your Wes already u should be able to download the soft copy from your account on Wes and upload it for express entry , no need to send to ircc or for oinp separately again
      There is no minimum requirement for Celpip but if the scores are too low u may not get enough points on your CRS score , however judging by your comment , you seem to hv a pretty good command over the language so that sudnt be a problem

    I appreciate your content on Express Entry, but there’s a major gap that I, and many others, are struggling with. I only have 1560 hours of continuous student skilled work experience in Canada, which meets the minimum eligibility for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program but doesn’t qualify for points under work experience. I’m trying to create my EE profile to be considered under FSW, not Canadian Experience Class (CEC), but the options are confusing. There’s no clear guidance on how to ensure this experience counts only for minimum eligibility without earning points. It would be super helpful if you could make a detailed video on this topic, as it’s a unique but common issue that’s not being addressed. Thanks!

    Hi, I have a question about creating my Express Entry (EE) profile. I have an employment letter that states I started working in August 2022. However, at that time, I was a student working part-time. In April 2023, I began working full-time since students were allowed to do so, and I received my work permit in July 2023.
    My question is: For the “From” section in the work experience, should I use the start date (August 2022) or the date I received my work permit (July 2023)? Currently, I have entered the start date, and it’s counting as two years of experience, which has given me extra points. Could you please help me clarify this?
    Thanks

    • @sofiaincanada
      @sofiaincanada  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey so your work experience as a student will not count as Canadian work experience, it will start counting from when u applied for your pgwp , it does have to be the approved work permit, the moment u apply , u are on implied status and u. Can count that period too , I did the same as well

In the work history section, I selected my primary NOC code and minimum education required for it is a bachelor degree. • @sofiaincanada
      @sofiaincanada  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There may be several reasons, usually ircc sends an email with the reason , check the email , the most common reason being not meeting the eligibility for any one stream, so check if you are meeting CEC or FSW , ( the FSW points should be 67 - www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/federal-skilled-workers/six-selection-factors-federal-skilled-workers.html) on this calculator . Also if your points are 67 then your total crs score should ideally be above 354 , so check all the calculations, other reasons maybe not meeting ielts criteria, but best is to check on your profile or wait for email , that should show the correct reason

    Hi Sofia, thanks so much for the information. My question is, I got a job offer straight after school with the bank and I have been working since then. on the express entry profile part where it’s asking if I have a valid job offer, do I say Yes or No? because on IRCC website it says you are exempted from LMIA if you work with the job for atleast a year. What do you advise ?

    • @sofiaincanada
      @sofiaincanada  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ken , thank you for the great question. Select no under the job offer part coz the yes is only for people with lmia and by selecting yes they can get 50 extra points. The exemption is that if u hv 1 year Canadian work experience u can apply under the CEC category without a lmia . The other exemption for lmia should meet this criteria- www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/offer-employment/lmia-exempt.html . U need to meet all three criteria and the job category should be under the exemption list ,Hope this helps !
