  • I am undecided whether or not I should put the new massive LEGO Eiffel Tower in the LEGO city! So today in this video I test fit it both on display and in the city! I think both ways look pretty good... so I still don't know what to do!

    The spacing there at the base of your stairs is perfect. Have to look at the ceiling space for sure. I'd elevate it a little at the base of the steps just to allow for air movement along the floor.

    I think it looks incredible in the lego city in the corner you have it in. If you took your idea from a few videos ago and ran the train underneath at the base of the tower it could be tucked in that corner and not change much

    I feel like it fits perfectly on the floor and it still looks good even though it comes out a few inches. Look at it like this too you’ll have more room in the city for later projects 🤣

    100% have it in the corner of the Lego City. Adds height. You can still see it (doesn't get lost, obvs). Could work nicely with the train line. Ensures the rest of the room isn't too full.

    I'd work it into that corner because it does give a sense of grandness and if I had it on the floor, I'd run it to it all the time. That said, the fact that the corner fits so well between the trim and bookcase just feels so good to see.

    I think you should put it in front of your door for the mechanical room. Put felt pads on the bottom and you can easily slide it out of the way when you need to access the back room

    I was totally admiring the wider hallway during your Detailed Review! It really shows off your sets! There’s a tiny glimpse of it today at 0:36. The corner spot by the stairs is a sweet fit for the Tower but it came across on the video as being kind of dark. I think it looks phenomenal in the city!

    Big anti city option. It’s not mini fig scale and you do such a good job of making your city realistic as possible. This set is meant for display not for city (I have my qualms with the set size) I’m a big fan of displaying it in the corner or replacing the winter village with the Eiffel Tower seasonally. Love you work Jordan!

    I think short term the tower looks really cool there, but in general I'm sure the city will run out of space at some point so it will probably have to be taken out. If you are already planning on moving the city to a commercial space at some point I think leaving the tower in the city will be good until then.

  • @Cshep87
    @Cshep87 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    It looks great in both spots, it would definitely be super cool in the back corner with the train turning under it but that is a big section of space to lose. Tough decision but there is no wrong answer here! Also, I believe the mid section of the tower needs to be rotated 90 degrees to line up the smooth sides of the corner trusts.

  • @jesperschlaeger

    Place it diagonally in the Corner. It will look great, the traintrack can easily go through

    • @brianhuynh3791

      That would take up a more space.

    • @jesperschlaeger
      @jesperschlaeger ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brianhuynh3791 Yes, but the space will be easily used, as the train would be able to run through i a modified turn. The turn of the tracks already takes lots of space, so by combining the space the two takes up, it will me more efficient and the diagonal will give it an awesome twist, making it really stand out in the city.

    It wouldn't be a bad idea to be honest. The question being is can the tables hold the weight of it and what kind of baseplates would you need to do it for a MILS plate. I'd say if you do place it in the LEGO city, place it directly in the center (well that's what I would do as it'd be the centerpiece of the city, but that's just me). I think your original idea of placing it next to the cabinet is also solid too. Hope this feedback helps a bit. Personally I'd say just keep it in the corner where it is that way besides the art wall, it's one of the first things you see when entering the LEGO room. Great video Bricksie.

    It looks great where you have it, build an amusement park plaza underneath, with vendors and minifigs. Don't worry about the trains. If you want space for more modular buildings, consider moving those tall facades up on the platform in back. Put them behind the port or the amusement park. There's a lot of space between the end of Ninjago Gardens. Move some of your main downtown modular buildings up there and integrate that haunted house and burrow into the main city. A row of modulars will look great on that back platform. The main center area needs a random haunted house!

    The corner is the best spot. The problem with it being on the floor is that people won't be able to appreciate just how detailed it is because they're going to one, constantly be looking down at it, and two, because of how much you have in that room, no one will be able to see it from a distance. Think of the photo from the website with the set on the floor next to the fireplace, it looks good there because people can see it from a distance and really admire it. In your room, that wouldn't happen as much. With it in the corner, it draws the eye immediately because it is so amazing and as such, it also draws the viewer's attention to the other sets that will be around it.

  • @jorgenadam
    @jorgenadam ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How about a big pedestrian road down the center of the amusement park, that pass under the tower towards the back. So place the tower in front of the train track in the back, but in the center of the park. Would love to see the rollercoasters rebuilt to pass over the road too

  • @thebricktroooper
    @thebricktroooper ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would definitely keep it in the city. Having the trains go under would be nice, but if it doesn’t work out, you could just place it in the amusement park and have it placed on multiple 48x48 MILS plates and just have some stands with minifigures under it or perhaps have it in the city itself with roads going under it. Maybe a crossroad. I would remove the baseplate it is on though. Not the corners, but the middle part.

    What about placing it by the wall facing the winter village just after the cabinet with the coliseum in it. That way it won’t be in the way but it will still be a centrepiece in your LEGO room!

  • @kevinlehnhardt3503
    @kevinlehnhardt3503 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm late to watching this, but it looks really great in the corner there. Having it on the floor was nice for appreciating the detail, and I did really like the shade on the shelf it made, but this is a tower, so let it tower. Right? With it in the LEGO city it really does add to both the Eiffel Tower and the city. I think the view of it over your shoulder walking away from the city is great, and the white contrast of the wall makes it stand out showing off the silhouette of the structure. And you're so right about it emphasizing the scale of your LEGO city. It really does show off how large it is when this set gets smaller and smaller as you walk away. I think it adds so much more to the city, so I'd recommend making it work.

  • @bboyshotty
    @bboyshotty ปีที่แล้ว

    i think it works in the corner. It gives the whole city such a greater perspective/scale/skyline, although if it is too much work/too difficult, the space beside the stairs does work as well

  • @PokerBEAST

    In the back corner of the city, the scale is perfect. In real life, the tower is HUGE! And back in that corner, it’s gives the perspective of the scale of it since it looks like it’s far in the distance.

  • @kendricklamote
    @kendricklamote ปีที่แล้ว

    I thought the tower wouldn't look good in the city, but when you placed it it looked great!! I just wouldn't mess with the base!!
    If you end up placing it in the city, i think you should make the trains go around it! I mean, the park in the bottom is amazing and can be a good addition to your citizens!! I don't clustering the trains in there wouldn't look great!

    I too have the Eiffel tower and many other sets that I making so a train runs around all of them. Not as big as yours (obviously), but I do have some big sets. I am going to try to run the train under the tower. I do want to ensure the elevation of the tower is sufficient. I do like the Tower in the corner because it adds that height feature to the city.

    I really love it in the corner by the entrance. I would vote to raise it with some sort of platform, that way to prevent dust/dog hair from continually getting on the base. It looks cool in the lego city...if you were to keep it there and add the train tracks... I would suggest if possible using those benches and light that are there in a sector to create a train station. The benches can be raised a bit and lined next to each other with maybe a walking row if need be to use them all.

    It looks great near the amusement park. Kings Island in Cincinnati has an Eiffel Tower.

    The Eiffel tower looks amazing in the city.
    It could work in from of the tracks. However if you want the tracks to go under it, and you have to move the curve and take space from the amusement park, you can put the shorter attractions on a raised platform by the wall.

    Yes keep it in the city in that corner and incorporate it with the amusement park. Later down the road you can modify it to be a ride in the park. Like a elevator drop ride. Perhaps making a moc from the penthouse for the elevator that holds the people

    You gotta let that Eiffel tower in that perfect corner beside the stairs and the Ikea unit. It seems that the corner was meant for it.

    Any chance that you place the colosseum and pyramid of Giza next to it?? It would be cool to see a wonders of the world vacation/tourist area in the city!

    First of all I would not put it in the lego city because it is just to big. I would prefer to put it by the stairs were you did before. I think that was the best place for it.
    Second of all when you put the Eiffel Tower bridging between the 2 tables and it leaned I said that it's not the Eiffel Tower anymore it's the leaning tower of Bricksci's lego room!!!
