The food scale is Mainstay Ek9130WM from Walmart. I accidentally mess up the calibration and the scale read heavier than it should be. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Have this scale, and for some reason it won't show me grams anymore only lbs/oz. Wonder if anyone has this issue and if they found a way to get metric units back?
you need to calibrate the scale. when it's on the calibration mode, e.g. showing the 5000 number on the lcd screen, you need to put something weighting precisely 5000gr, when it shows 2000, then put something weighting precisely 2000gr. Just wait until the screen shows PASS, then turn the scale off, and then on again. It should be normal again
I have the same scale and it was doing the same thing - weighing everything double. I just used your tip to play around with the calibration. Can't remember what the originally first number was, but now it's 2000. Changed the numbers to the following: 1-00, 2-00, 3-06, 4-02.... It works now! The unopened 1.5 kg bag of sugar I have was weighing 3 kg, now it's 1.5 kg. Hope this combination works for you, although I imagine you've already gotten rid of it, haha. Edit: Update: I removed the batteries and put them back in to see if it still worked, and now I can only select lb:oz and fl oz 🤣🤣🤣 Edit and update #2: I went into factory settings and didn't change anything but it now works again. Good lord, is this even worth the trouble? 😂

This product has been broken to begin with: This scale is impossible to use. There are no instructions on how to use it. What is written is changing the batteries, liquid (Water/milk), and getting a total for consecutive weighing. Here is an exact quote from inside the instructions for use this thing comes with: On page 3 under E it has this confusing statement. Load Weighing object on scale (Or Bowl) to the weight reading. That doesn't even make any sense. If you think that's bad, you should see the diagram. There is nothing about how to actually set/use the scale to specifics, which means, there is no possible way to know what the numbers are being displayed, what they mean, or what they are If I want to weight out 2lbs of candy I wouldn't be able to do it with this because this scale only does consecutive totals (Whatever that means) but there is also no way to tell what the numbers even are when something is on it.

Same problem. Works fine, but not showing grams and kilograms and milliliters. Only, lb,oz, FL oz. It sucks
I lightly washed off dirt of my scale but now it only does units of fl oz and lb/oz. How do I fix that so it can do grams and ml?

I just tried what you did because i have the same problem. Putting it at 1 - 00 and then press tare until F reset the scale for me. It works now

Happened to me too. It is reading twice the amount. I still have to calibrate it somehow.
Mine seems to be working after I set everything to 0 except the second. I set that to 15.

5000 is g which is max weight
Put 5000 gm on it when it says 5000
