The ground of inequality between males and females is the way each one of them is treated "equally" in their families. The fault also lies in many Women who themselves have always given preferential treatment to their sons to an extent of pampering them to a point where the sons have a false sense pf privilege i.e. House work ain't for them etc etc and also are not taught how to behave with the opposite gender. Could it be because the actions of feminist organizations in the west have tainted the reputation of all feminist organizations? I live in Sweden, one of the most feminist countries on earth. It's a country that in my opinion has achieved gender equality, were both men and women are free to do whatever they want with their lives, something that i wholeheartedly approve of. The problem arises when faced with a simple question "If we have achieved gender equality, why do we need feminism?" Feminist organizations solved this by simply making up problems as they go along, often using questionable statements with no scientific or logical basis(like Internalized Misogyny, the Wage Gap Myth, Rape Culture etc...). This has caused a backlash here in the west that has caused more and more people to stop identifying themselves as feminists and start to despise those who still do(including myself). What makes me sad is how this backlash has apparently spilled over to 3rd world countries like India that clearly need feminist activism more than ever. The problem is not people writing #FuckFeminism on twitter, they are just the symptom of a much bigger problem within caused by western feminist lunatics who are destroying the reputation of the movement/ideology for everyone else. TL;DR If you want have people to stop associating feminism with being a fat socially cancerous man-hater; alienate the western feminists who caused said association to begin with from the feminist movement entirely.

The ground of inequality between males and females is the way each one of them is treated "equally" in their families. The fault also lies in many Women who themselves have always given preferential treatment to their sons to an extent of pampering them to a point where the sons have a false sense pf privilege i.e. House work ain't for them etc etc and also are not taught how to behave with the opposite gender. Instead they teach girls not to step out of the house unless necessary.
Girls are trained to seek approval of parents for many things unlike guys who aren't .
In the other side of the coin, guys are often times subject to sexism in ways that only they can understand.

Could it be because the actions of feminist organizations in the west have tainted the reputation of all feminist organizations? I live in Sweden, one of the most feminist countries on earth. It's a country that in my opinion has achieved gender equality, were both men and women are free to do whatever they want with their lives, something that i wholeheartedly approve of. The problem arises when faced with a simple question "If we have achieved gender equality, why do we need feminism?" Feminist organizations solved this by simply making up problems as they go along, often using questionable statements with no scientific or logical basis(like Internalized Misogyny, the Wage Gap Myth, Rape Culture etc...). This has caused a backlash here in the west that has caused more and more people to stop identifying themselves as feminists and start to despise those who still do(including myself).
What makes me sad is how this backlash has apparently spilled over to 3rd world countries like India that clearly need feminist activism more than ever. The problem is not people writing #FuckFeminism on twitter, they are just the symptom of a much bigger problem within caused by western feminist lunatics who are destroying the reputation of the movement/ideology for everyone else.
TL;DR
If you want have people to stop associating feminism with being a fat socially cancerous man-hater; alienate the western feminists who caused said association to begin with from the feminist movement entirely.

*I think it would have seriously helped if you defined the term a bit, preferably the way Emma Watson defined in her landmark speech. I think a lot of ignorant and/or embarrassing comments here could have been avoided, as people keep associating feminism with female dominance over men.
*It is dichotomous on your part to begin the video by saying that karvachauth/burkha are okay if it's a choice, but Aarfa (in Sultan) giving up her career for a baby (also her choice) is not okay. It is a much more nuanced debate, as what is 'choice' (given the effects of conditioning, social pressure etc etc) needs a lot of empowerment to begin with for it to be an informed one. Sometimes it may seem that there is a choice when in reality there is none.
