I've had a few dogs in my life, but my husky is the first dog I have had to argue with. he will always have the last word and he always makes sure he is louder than me lol
Huskies are very smart and don't have a tremendous desire to please their humans like other dogs which can make them very very stubborn (you've probably figured that out by now)
All they have so much dignity! if you throw a stick for them to get it, they'll stare at you with self-sufficiency like "bitcn, please".
My husky snaps at me and barks and howls in the morning if am not out the door on time for his walk. Yeah, he knows the exact time we go for a walk, and the time he eats. Don't know how but he does.

They are the best! I have two, and we are getting a third! Once you get one you'll think, "oh he'd love a playmate" and then you'll never stop getting family.
they're cute and really awesome! However like most northern breeds they can be stubborn (as shown in this video). So if you do decide to get one, I recommend doing some research prior. Good luck!

My dog told me "no" one time, right after I told her "no". Turned around, looked right at me and said "no". She understood most everything I ever said to her and if she agreed with it she'd do it. She even responded to me when I just thought something but didn't say anything. Pretty unreal stuff I suppose, unless it actually happened to you. Dogs (and cats) are amazing.

Depends on the dog. If it's been around humans for a while it will understand you, at least on an emotional level. With regards to a given language, that's pretty much the same as normal humans: more exposure, more words understood.
Also the intelligence of the breed affects it.Working dogs are generally more likely to 'get' you both on a verbal and emotional level, while lapdogs are less likely to figure you out.

I live in arctic Sweden, and I am the proud pack leader of 8 huskies and 2 alaskan malamutes. My boys have their own barn with crates, food and water, but I often find them outside sleeping in the snow curled up in a pile like little squirrels. I live on my familys reindeer farm land and we have several hundred hectares fenced off so our dogs are free to come and go in the kennel barn. They have thick full coats because of the low temperatures and they seem to prefer sleeping outside rather than inside, Only when weather gets really bad they go indoors through a little doggy hatch and cozy up in there. I spend the night with them several times a week and in the morning they lie surrounding me keeping watch in all directions. My boys display the same wonderful personality as your dog does.. Strong willed and maybe a little stubborn but that's what I love about them.

just make sure you bring equipment that safeguards you no matter what weather and fauna you encounters.. Mother Nature will chew you up and spit you out if you don't

A dog is full grown at 2yo, so..... I have trusted our dogs to be home alone long before they could say 'no'

my husky used to do what we called the gravity act. You try to pick her up and somehow she quietly resists with every muscle and literally pulls you down. Now she only weighed 40 pounds or whatever, and you could of course pick the whole thing up, but trying to grab and hold the legs, torso, etc you just couldn't do it.
