This is so much more interesting than the celebrity one .
Agreeee
Yess we learn more about ingredients which is great
Frrr
More of these please!
Right?! 💯
the way he preferred all of the cheaper lippies really proves that price ≠ quality
The list of products used:
- lip plumpers: LA MER the lip volumizer (expensive) and TOO FACED Lip Injection Maximum Plump (cheap);
- lip glosses: MAC lipglas gloss (expensive) and NYX butter gloss (cheap);
- lip oils: DIOR lip oil (expensive) and ELF Glow Reviver Lip Oil (cheap).
Thank you
the fact that too faced is considered cheap, it's about 160 zł here, which is 40$ but sure feels like 160$
The cheap gloss is actually the elf gloss. I have the same clear one and like he said it smells like sweet vanilla. plus its also $6 soo yeah
Too Faced is not drugstore. It’s expensive.
@@lizzyplayz458 No it's not. The ingredients list for the NYX butter gloss is exactly what's shown in Product A. It is not the same ingredients for the elf clear gloss, and it's also not $6.
I think the lip oils are Dior Addict Lip Glow (A) & Elf Glow Reviver (B)…ingredients & price points match. I wish they’d just tell us the products outright, instead of making us play detective!😅
100%
Plumping glosses are A) La Mer (I think he gave us a hint with the algae) and the second is most likely the lip injection of too faced
same but i think they cant name brands in their video
@@NhungHong-if2ij Yeah else it could accidentally count as advertisement
makes a looooot of sense
So happy to see Ramón get recognition, his content has helped my skin so much.
Does he do youtube? I couldn't find him here

I could listen to him all day, so knowledgeable and well-spoken.😊 Moreover, we need that kind of knowledge before buying our products because we need to maximize quality and minimize costs.
He has a TH-cam channel and it’s so informative!

This series makes ME want to be a cosmetic chemist! They’re all so knowledgeable and are great at sharing information
I love seeing the different personalities of these featured chemists too. Ramón is so fun and informative!
I love that I entered a science field as a career and studied some chemistry and I LOVE seeing this video with a scientist who is young and knows all the trends and slang. IDK why it comforts me
Keep this format, ditch the celebs! Thx.
i love Ramon do this more often!!!!
I love that they actually changed the packaging for each product. Because for example the Dior lip oil, even if you covered the name the packaging is so known. So love that it’s really a “blind” test.
I was really shocked to find out lip oils are less moisturizing than lipglosses i always thought it was the other way around, i guess im going to stick with my glosses then
Congrats Ramon! So happy to see you on Allure. I love your channel.
This was amazing!!! Having an actual professional judge products blindly is the most fascinating thing to watch!!
What do we think the products are? For the clear glosses: the expensive one is definitely M•A•C Lip Glass and I'm 99% sure the cheap one is NYX Butter Gloss. It's the right price and has the same ingredient list on the website except the polyethylene and sorbitan sesquioleate are in the opposite order.
For the lip oils, product A is definitely the Dior lip oil.
are we not thinking it’s dior and elf?
plumping ones are defo la mer and maybe too faced
I love Ramón Pagan - his TH-cam channel helped me find a sunscreen I can actually wear everyday!
This is the kind of content we need
Loved this! He’s the best & so knowledgeable
Ramon, this video was amazing!🎉🎉🎉
This guy is amazing. So knowledgeable and engaging. Please do more videos with him!!

Omg yay, I always learn something with Ramons content I love his ig!
Ramon you nailed this 👏
So nice to see you here Ramon!
Loved this! Particularly the vocabulary!
I love this series of scientists and experts making very calculated guesses and educating us on why!
This is so informative and entertaining 💕💕
love the conclusion!
This is the content we want!
i love thiss, need more!!
This is so cool! Please do one of these for concealers!!!
This is a great format, professionals taking about what they know!
ok am I stupid or does he mean capsaicin?? capsicum is the genus name of all peppers and also the common name for bell peppers in some countries
Love this concept
Glow By Ramon, we love you!!
i love this video! please make more videos like this!
More Ramon more Ramon more Ramon! ❤
Same model should always be done just saying you guys did someone will full lips vs someone with no lips so yeah can y'all do better next time
Exactly, the plumping effect is obviously going to be less pronounced on the first model and more pronounced on the second
Generally I find lip gloss makes lips more fuller even without plumping effect due to the shine. Personally I don’t enjoy the tingly feeling on my lips and they don’t normally last long anyway.
loved this
Love him!!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge ❤❤❤

This is my dream job, to be a cosmetic chemist. I always enjoyed chemistry and I do wanna be a chemist one day
the dior lip oil has such a unique smell
i like this set background more
he’s so beautiful omg
I love my Undone Beauty Poppa Gloss. ^_^ 💖
RAMÓN ❤
I thought the ingredient was capsaicin? Capsicum is the plant isn't it?
I LUV THE CHEMIST!!!
my dream job frrrr
The girlies want science!! (This is wayyyyyyy better than celeb videos)
One thing I'm curious about is how does Allure repackage these glosses?
With a funnel, I assume lol
Syringe
i've done it in my bedroom, i'm sure they can do it
@@largesquidslol real, story of my childhood
I want you to open your very own channel and review cosmetics for us all!
He already has.
Oh he does have his own channel which is glowbyramon
His lips are so shiny and full that I thought he was wearing the lip plumping gloss already when the video started
Are we gonna ignore that he said Capsicum (the herb that you eat) and not capsaicin (the compound). Then allure literally put the definition of capsaicin with the title capsicum 🤣
YES i hated that
Yeah I thought I was going crazy bc in Australia we call 'bell peppers' 'capsicum' and I know capsaicin is the spiciness in chilli peppers
Omg I was looking for this comment
It’s literally listed as ‘capsicum resin’ on the ingredient lists that are read at the end of the video. It’s highlighted and everything. If you’re not extracting just the capsaicin it’s still capsicum.
Tbf that’s what it is in the ingredient list
Remember that Sally Hansen cinnamon one and also the bath and body works one
I had a feeling product B clear gloss was more expensive. It's probably a more natural company that has a higher price point
I JUST KNOW the last one is dior vs the dupe elf lip oil and ofc elf is better as always LOLL
Seems like it would be a better idea to test the same type of product on the same person. Different people will respond differently to ingredients and things so it'll be a better comparison on the same person. E.g. for the plumping gloss, some people might be more sensitive to capsicum so their lips plump up more but it might not have anything to do with the amount of the ingredient in the product.
how can be a lip gloss be worthy of 90$ ? Even if they use more botanical ingredients (which will make it more expensive but never 33 or 90$ for 5 or 10ml)
He got those DSLs
YAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
0:25 Capsicum is the name of the bell pepper genus. The name of the compound is capsaicin. The fact that he got something so basic wrong as a supposed professional chemist, and nobody in the team cared to check is really disappointing
With this title, it’s clear that you all have taken feedback and appropriately referred to the expert as a cosmetic chemist 🎉. Please go back and retroactively change the title on the two videos in the price points series/playlist where you mislabeled the professionals as “makeup experts”
Did they mean capsaicin?
lol i need the list of the products now
So what is the name of B ????
too faced lip plumper :0
More silly prices....😳
hello ! so i've been thinking about becoming a cosmetic chemist lately, but i heard that they have to works lots to get in the position while they are mostly not paid well. After watching this video, it seemed fun to me, i also would like to be an expert when it comes to what im putting on my skin, but i kinda hate chemistry ! Anyone who could give me some information about this domain??
If you hate chemistry, don’t become a chemist. What you see here is not a representation of what cosmetic chemists do. This video is for entertainment purposes. He’s dumbing everything down for the audience to layman levels. Cosmetic chemists spend most of their time formulating the product. If you don’t like studying the properties and chemistry of different molecules and their interactions, go into another field. Chemistry is an intensive subject and you won’t get through it if you hate the subject. Learning doesn’t happen when you have negative emotions towards the subject
Laughs at yall buying La Mer which is just vaseline whipped up.
Don't be shy, Allure, give us the names of the products 😃
Capsaicin yeah?
it’s called capsaicin… it’s present in capsicum and chilies but the molecule is called capsaicin.
Capsicum (or things like “capsicum fruit extract”) is the name for use in cosmetics. That’s why it’s labelled that way in the product ingredients. Google “capsicum cosmetics”
Capsicum is literally red bell pepper in Australia I was so confused wth
This was interesting until I started reading the comments and realized they never tell you the products…
I didn’t see a difference in the visual for the plumping glosses
The model for b had redder looking lips at the end. I do wish that they used the same model for both glosses though, so that we could directly compare both after photos
❤❤❤
Capsicum is the pepper. Capsaicin is the compound.
Try as I might, I could not see _ANY_ difference in terms of plumping in B. It just looked like she had clear product on her lips & that she was smiling slightly but fuller?? Nope. None.
Essence has a plumping gloss with capsaicin for $4.99 😂
No need for $90 bucks
Hola hola
How do people get these jobs
Wait is that a bad thing?
Finally, putting sense back into beauty with science, and informing people that vaseline is perfectly safe in fact it is what you want when you have very dry lips. Finally, out with the bull**** "nontoxic beauty" marketing ruining people's skin.
He looks like he could be James Charles older brother, and hopefully not dangerous like James, but I swear if I didn’t know better, I would think they could be related
be is def nyx lip fat oil
Capsicum? Isn’t it capsiacin?
In my opinion the lip plump A made lips bigger and the B did nothing but just erritate and make lips red!!!
Tocopheryl acetate is still antioxidant? Omg...
I thought this misconception was eliminated decade ago
People mislabel it as a preservative. Which it isn’t. But it is an antioxidant to my knowledge. Two different jobs
@@Viviolau it doesn't have any antioxidant activity. It's a stable form of Tocopherol, which is actually an antioxidant.
capsicum??
