I have a project where I want to paint the shoes Ultra black (Musou Black, to be precise) but because it's not a leather paint I was curious if there is an additive that I could use to make it more leather applicable?
Restoration is a very tough method. Hence, it would be difficult to advise. So, I would recommend searching for a restoration and customization service provider in your area, who can fix your shoes immediately.
How do you keep midsole paint from cracking? I painted the midsoles beige on the nike tom sachs brown, but couldn't figure out how to keep them from cracking. Asking for a friend (raleigh restorstions is out of stock everywhere)
Why don't you ever show taking off the excess stain dye? Even with water repellent, it's going to rub off and bleed. Super important step that is always left out.
As long as the customer was satisfied with them cool. But for me I was watching them get uglier and uglier. But again thats just my opinion. Love your videos Vic.

Unfortunately, the cracking happens from wear, but you could spray the paint with a finisher to help make it last a little longer
