- This is a look at the differences between FM24 console and FM24 PC, seeing which features are the same, whats missing in each version, and help you decide which you should get and play. The game on Xbox and Playstation is looking better than ever but hte PC version is full of features. If you are Football Manager 2024 for PS5 or Xbox One Series X let me know below.

What do you think of the difference between the two?
I really like it on ps5 ,been playing for years on a laptop full version this is 1st year i got it on console.but love not having press conferences plus staff meetings etc that don't mean alot anyway. Dynamics plus buy in a good addition .u get all the good stuff
I played the PC version for years, so far only have fm24 on ps5 but still find the controller very clucky and glitchy (hoped this would have been fixed from fm23) flipping to cursor mode always fixes the glitches I just dont like using it so I flip between the 2 modes. I love the lack of meetings on console its much more streamlined, you spend more time on the best parts of the game. However its frustrating not being able to fix the team names/badges/kits etc... honestly tempted to go back to PC version on my laptop, missing the portability of it too.

@goodside1807 yeah I know, I usually hire a good assistant manager for them but then I dont always like the outcomes. Then I be a bit of a perfectionist with hiring the best possible staff in all categories. I sometimes spend actual days finding the best combination of staff on pc (which is very simplistic on console). I'm the orchestrator of my own downfall here really 😅
U can set opposition instructions on console in the team selection screen before match. There you can also choose whether to set just for that match or by position on all matches
Yeah I found that after. Seems odd it’s missing from the other menu.

I'll keep it simple: FM is okay on console, but great on pc. The mods really change the game, and even if you're playing on console if your setup allows for it plug a mouse and keyboard into your console. The games meant to be played with mnk. Not to mention pc has way more detail. FM is still fun on console so if that's all you have don't feel bad but if you have the choice pc no brainer.
Yeah I’d go Pc as experienced player but I think the console version (though on pc via gamepass preferably) would be my suggestion to new players

Ps5 doesn't look or work as console variables you're showing. Screen aspects hidden behind shoulder button presses
Useful, came here looking for a fix for manual player search scouting on console getting backlogged and stopped giving me results for players i manually asked for a scouting report of (around beginning of the season you bet your ass I'm scouting every goddamn failed prospect from the Major leagues for my vanarama nation league team! And then some) noone seems to be aware or have a fix, every recommendation exclusively refers to the PC version so if anything ever bugs out or goes wrong on console: you are pretty much on your own Pal. That aside, the match enginn and core gameplay is samey enough, mouse and keyboard your x box and it's virtually identical aside from my little troubleshooting issue. Good work sir 😊😊😊

Had fm23 on console ans loved it. The relaised i can play in my laptop anywhere and its alot more comfortable for fm24
Few issues I have noticed on console.
Loans. Impossible to get decent loan fees for players. I have been getting clubs offering fees for players valued at £10 million for £475.
Also West Ham seem to generate £150 million for match day revenue. Their stadium holds 66k but it says they have 77k season ticket holders…
The ‘values’ don’t always match a players true current value. I’ll give it a play around myself.
There was also a patch today that should fix some stuff
Can you check the competition reputation on the console version to check whether you're going to get a an extra champions league spot can't see it??

What’s it like searching for wonder kids can you just put the first letters in for the player and search or do you have to put in the full name? I can imagine it being a nightmare that part of it

I have a question. Until version 23, the PC version and the Touch version seemed to be almost the same. Is it correct that functions such as principles, mindsets, and trashing group have been added from version 24?

Depends on the laptop. You can check on a site like systemrequirements. If it runs fifa it’ll run FM

50/50. Personally I struggle with touch if screen is too small but I’d imagine on a switch it’s fine
On Console version, do you know if Staff coaching attributes influence training quality at all?
Yes should do - but I don’t think you need to worry about having the perfect mix as much as on pc.

Yes you’ll have players even when their leagues aren’t there.
Depends what kind of save you are doing. The game will recommend leagues for you
Important question. Can you grow a league's rating in a nation building save on console?
It should work same as pc- though there are more youth limitations and you only have 30 years
@@SiMaggio just bought the game. It does indeed NOT work on console as league reputation is not something the game includes... I also feel you should add that the tactic overview on console is tough to use as it does not show what positions a player can play.

No you only have the console layout as far as I know
None of the individual training is new for console over than the layout
Yeah someone else pointed this out. I think I forgot/ missed it before - and assumed it wasn’t there because general training wasn’t.
just got FM 24 and i cant find a specific player that i know is on the game as ive seen other youtubers do videos on him before do you know if there is a chance pc has a larger quantity of players compared to console ?
The number of players is the same- it’s how many you can load into the game at once that is different. Pretty much no one on pc runs with every player loaded in at once (the game would run very slow). On console you are limited to a certain number at once also.
On both it comes down to what you selected when setting up.

Yeah - what leagues you load in will be the difference. Generally top international players will always be there though@@theschapp427

@@SiMaggio are you sure? Because i watch a lot of this one guy who plays fm and every game of his never gets interupted by his assistant manager. (Apart from serious injuries) I wasn’t able too find anything in settings, but not sure if ive missed it.

I found many by scouting or looking by yourself the youth international comp. like under -18 world cup , euros , copa america and africa. You can also look (at least) the european preliminary groups in youth nations.

Thanks so much, I don’t have a PC and I was going to buy a Laptop for the game but for 600 quid it ends up being an expensive game, would everyone just buy the ps5 version I’m assuming?
The ps5 version is solid. You might be able to plug in kb+m but I’m not sure
Played both and really surpriced me how good the console version was, if fm on pc is 20 in rating (like fm uses lol) the ps5 is 15-17
@@oliveriosteinn yeah I think the console version is solid. Playing it via the Pc highlights that it’s only minor stuff different and mostly streamlined.

Could be few things. Reputation. Your wages + time left on contract. Availability of other jobs

No - there’s a limit- I believe 30 seasons

Speaking of using a controller on console.. I strongly recommend just using a wireless mouse. It's so much more efficient.

@@SiMaggio Yes, works perfectly on Xbox X. I also connect a keyboard, but only use it for looking through each player (ctrl+right arrow) on rare occations. Haven't found any way to go to next player with the controller.
I 2nd that, I use mouse and keyboard on xbox X and its so much easier than the controller

@@ants80Yes. You can use mouse and keyboard on PS5. I have PS version FM24 and tried it with wireless mouse and keyboard. It was strange, that PS recognizes mouse as keyboard, so you should plug in mouse firstly, then keyboard. Otherwise mouse doesn’t work.

@@ALFWHU I'm not sure how it works on PC however on console when ever your agreement with an affiliate club ends, the game/owner of your club automatically creates a new one with another random club, essentially replacing the old affiliate clubs.

Too many goals conceded on console edition compared to fm23.

Any chance you can do a deep dive on fm24 console, you are the only TH-camr that has gone deepish on the console version, but I can never find anything other than a guide, or a review. I'm sure their are thousands of console players who could do with the help. Little things like, what all the dlc packs do and benefit us. Saves us buying them if they are not worth our time, or the training, as basic as it is, I have found it challenging to raise my players stats consistently, although I realise the more they play the better they train.
It could be beneficial to new console players, because I can't find any TH-cam videos, or even online anywhere, that do a good hour, or longer videos on the console version.
@@willzer6915 I'll see what I can do- I've some console stuff planned - though I predominately play the pc version. There's certainly some stuff that theres not much out there
