I'll re-second what's already been said. This kind of intro/tutorial for tabletops is a "market gap" in TH-cam. You should consider doing this for other games in this short, to the point format. Very nicely done, sir.
excellent video/explanation; couple of corrections (which is fine since you had to cover quite a bit) 1. When you scan (exploration), it costs 1 energy. 2. Mining/Harvesting is NOT the only way to get money with no money, missions give you money too, and you can always sell outfits (for 1/2 value, rounded up) if you end your turn on a planet.
So I would love it if you made more videos like this for board games that are particularly complex, or look to be complex on the surface. That made everything quite easy to understand. Well done!
Not that I want to be a dick or anything, I really do appreciate the value of this video. But seriously, One die, multiple dice! It's like nails on a chalkboard.
Thanks for the great tutorial video! I just played through a 3 player game last night, so it was nice to watch your video afterwards and confirm the rules. (Y)
Wow, this was a really nice starter guide. Surprised you where able to fit so much info into such a short time. You should really consider doing this for other games. There really isn't anyone out there that does quick tutorial videos like this and you seem to have a knack for it. Most people just do reviews or full playthroughs.
TRez5000 Well now there is, with channels like The Rules Girl, The Dice Tower, Teach The Table, and Watch it Played, just to give you the ones I’ve watched.
This was an excellent and short how to =) How to's that are 40min+ which they often are for large games like this) are way to long for me to be able to learn from. Not played the game yet though (no retailer selling it in my country atm) , so can't really say whether this was very helpful or not, but it sure sounded like it to me =) Will pick up this game though when it becomes available for me.
I wonder why the game doesn't play like "player 1 takes an action. Now player 2 takes an action." etc. It seems like this way, you'll be waiting for a long time for your turn. I assume there are some mechanics that would break playing it that way?
at 10:53~ i believe you made a mistake there. you refresh your energy for free, but then you pay to re activate everything, right? because your buying phase happens before the status phase, which is where you re arm stuff
This was exactly what I was looking for. I like how you go through example turns.
Fantastic tutorial, best one I've watched, like the example turns. Nice job and thankyou!
Really great approach for a tutorial video. More people should follow this style.
50/50 on the game though.
Thank you it was very helpful to start. Good basic to sit and star play :)
excellent! But please change the tablecloth on the table!

Also, that table cloth is hideous, just saying :D
Very nicely done.
Dude, this was a great video. Very well narrated and good voice. You deserve a lot more views! Make more videos!!

Thank you so much for this guide. I have found it useful for the first game I am planning.
These are really helpful. It is better than watching a 2 hour playthrough where they eventually hit all the important parts.

Thanks for making this video! You do a great job of giving a simple overview of the turn options and game setup!
Very nice quick and dirty guide. Great work!!
Going to be teaching the game tomorrow. Super helpful. thanks!

Thanks for the short format
Cheers for this one mate. Massively helpful.
Thank you. It seemed to be a nice starter guide, I wonder what path I will take later on tonight.

Actually, this was very helpful! Thank you 😃
Very useful! Thanks!
Good job. My copy comes in this Friday! What version of the game would you recommend for a groups first time other then plaing to 5 VP?

Very helpful thank you ;)
Great review but that table pattern is awful. Clashes big time.
Do you have to be in a port to conduct business or just on any planet space?
Super
Your table cloth is making my eyes bleed. Please get something more neutral.
