I called Lilly direct, and was told since we have Medicare we aren’t able to use Lilly Direct. Medicare doesn’t cover obesity medication, and we can’t afford $1300 a month. Lilly Direct was advertised as being for those who don’t have insurance and the cost is closer to 500 a month. The agent I spoke to told me absolutely not Covered if you’re on Medicare. I know it’s not covered. I want to pay for it but not 1300 a month.

Ita an aminochain called a peptide. Our bodies make these peptides. Some people are deficient in these peptides.

This doesn't seem sketchy or unethical at all. I don't see at all how this could go horribly wrong.

I was put on ozempic because victoza, mounjaro and zepbound are on backorder for months now, I only got the ozempic because my doctor had a sample. I wanted mounjaro because doing research I know it has two peptides that help with sugar control and watched some videos here on the tube too of people saying how well it controls their sugar, but I can't get it because EliLily sells it for obesity and I know I will never get it now. Even if you would be approved, you still wouldn't get it.

I am on Zepbound so I can speak about my side effects. I will preface that everybody is a little different when it comes to reactions to this medication so I can only speak to ME. Personally, I have had pretty mild to moderate side effects. I pretty much just feel full all the time and would have the same reaction if I gorged on alot of food. Also, gassy foods REALLY make me gassy. Probably the "worst" thing is my constipation for a day or two. I've yet to have a reaction that has caused me to take additional medication (like pepto or Beano). As for serious side effects, they are relatively rare and a good doctor will monitor for those. I would say that the risks in obesity (diabetes, heart disease, etc) are much greater than the most serious effects of Zepbound. Basically, you should be prepared to be gassy and a little constipated.

No they are not they made it for diabetes and want to make more money after they saw it helps obese people so they advertised it for obesity, now you can not find it ANYWHERE. Its useless to try to get it for diabetes, when all the obese people get the first dibbs.
I need it for sugar control and I have not even been able to get my victoza this month because everyone advertises their meds for obese people. I don't need it because want it to lose weight. It's ridiculous.
Victoza, ozempic, mounjaro, zepboind, it doesn't make difference which one they are all on backorder for months now.
You make certain you made enough for people who really need it for diabetes, before you tell people it's for another disease that is plaguing the world.
Yes, obesity is very serious, but people have died from not having their diabetes medicine.

Certainly not poison. Some side effect risk like any medication.

A better option to get to the root of the issue for many being over weight. Than taking 10 other meds for high cholesterol, high blood pressure and a host of other comorbidities caused from being over weight when everything else fails.

Choose your “poison”. Heart disease, diabetes, fatty liver, stroke, hypothyroidism, knee/hip replacements; the lists goes on and on OR, try the medication and control or eliminate health conditions. I’ve tried all kinds of diets and exercise regimes. I’ve been on the medication 2 weeks and have lost over 5# with no conscious effort. I’ve had little to no side effects so far. As the lady said, I no longer think constantly about what I’m going to eat next or how much to eat. This is finally training my body to recognize real hunger, choose healthy options and portion control.
