She is the first person I have heard say there is the risk of thyroid cancer, I’m so glad she has because I work in the NHS and have been saying this on a daily basis!!

There’s only been thyroid cancer found in some lab rats. None in humans ever. Rats also have some receptor that humans don’t have that would make them more likely to get thyroid cancer. However as it has been found in some rats, your healthcare provider should be telling you about it and it’s in the paperwork. Hope this helps 😊

From Canada here and it has actually been proved that semaglutide has absolutely no connection to thyroid cancers. Obesity on the other hand is responsible for 90% of deaths ie heart disease, cancer and type 2 diabetes. So go take the drug for obesity. It has helped so many people here, it’s not a “magic pill” you do need to count your calories and exercise, but it really does help you get on the right track.

I’ve been saying this to my friends and colleagues at the pharmacy I work in. Yes, it can increase the risk of thyroid cancer by 70% if thyroid cancer runs in the family!

These are amazing tools for people who are OBESE! I've lost nearly 8 stone in in 9 months (private prescription) and have reversed so many issues. You can get very bad side effects if you are "normal" and just want to lose a few pounds. Cost of the mediation is not a consideration if you're obese - you're spending too much on food anyway!!! I definitely save money by having such a little want to eat.

It's important to understand that this isn't a magic solution that will lead to overnight weight loss. People using it still need to put in serious effort with their diet and nutrition to see results. It serves as a tool to support weight loss, and it can be a real game-changer for those with serious obesity-related challenges. This medication is not about cheating or vanity. If someone is trying to lose 10 pounds, it likely isn’t appropriate for them. But for those with significant weight to lose, the benefits far outweigh the risks. The real advantage lies in its ability to quiet obsessive thoughts about food, making it easier to follow an eating plan without constant cravings, and effectively preventing binge-eating. Additionally, it has been shown to greatly reduce alcohol cravings for most users, helping many overcome long-standing addictions. It has honestly saved my life, and I am an advocate - it is by no means an easy way out, it buys you a real shot at getting your life-long disordered eating behaviours under control to save your health.

In my opinion, the creators of new-generation anti-obesity drugs should be awarded the Nobel Prize, because obesity, as a disease, is at the forefront when it comes to the mortality rate of the human population, especially in highly developed countries.

Some Individuals are remarkably gullible and seldom consider the implications before using or taking anything. It seems to be a method for the government to experiment on people, each person is unique; one drug may affect one individual differently from another.

It took me two years to lose 20 lb I’ve kept that weight off and I’m at my target for two years! I just watched what I ate and walked every day and changed my lifestyle because it’s a lifestyle change it’s not a diet… I currently know seven women that are on the weight loss jab.. they’ve always been big women, some of them very obese.. they are losing pounds and stones every week the weight is dropping off them… I think it’s absolutely shocking not one of them bothers to work out or eating healthy!! They just stab themselves with a needle every week… if you read about what you’re supposed to stay on this for the rest of your life!! Somebody please explain to me how that is healthy and the side-effects are shocking! Half of them are constipated.. The other half have diarrhoea and sickness and nauseous, and one of them last week and to go home because she didn’t make the toilet in time and had an accident 👀 like how it’s just considered normal! Since when did putting in the hard work and actually exercising and eating healthy become such a bad thing!

Also, this doctor has no idea what she’s talking about as she says Wegovy is the same as tirzepatide. The two separate drugs. Wegovy is called. semaglutide which is a GLP1 medication.
Ware tirzepatide is a GLP1 and a GIP MEDICATION TOTALLY DIFFERENT DRUG DRUGS. Maybe before asking someone to come onto the program, ask them to do their research before misinforming your viewers.

I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in May 2023 whilst on holiday in 🇺🇸 I did not know I had this.
    I was not overweight, I’m 59 and 5ft 6in and weighed 9 st 7lb
This was bought in by stress as August 2022 I was broken into in the middle of the night whilst in bed. The kids stole my car
Also at the same time I was diagnosed with Over Active Thyroid.
This is harder to treat. One symptom is weight loss
    I’m now 8st 8lb around 1 stone underweight
Type 2 Diabetes isn’t necessarily connected with obesity in a small %

I’m glad that it’s that easy for some. I don’t disagree with your advice about making lifestyle changes. You have to. The misunderstanding is that these weight loss drugs are a cure all, they’re not. They are a tool along with other changes. This medication has been a life changer for me. I’ve obese all my life and this is only thing that has really helped me. If you’ve ever experienced “food noise” you’ll know what I’m talking about. If you don’t like it or need it, that’s up to you. But for millions these medications are life changing.
