I actually grew up with The Batman, and only discovered BTAS when I was older, so I'll always have a special place in my heart for it :D and The Batman was a pretty decent show, all things considered. The Clayface arc was really good, certainly amongst the best this show had to offer.
and I love how Dracula in this movie looks like an unused model for Ras Al Ghul....now that would be awesome Ras Al Ghul vs Dracula....The Demon's head vs the Son of the Dragon (or son of the Devil)
Ooh, what if they and their clans have been at war for centuries with lots of bad blood and history between them. Both could serve as major boss villains for Batman and a writer could build off of the similarities/contrasts between the 3 characters for a long running storyline. Or they bring their war to Gotham and Batman gets in the middle of their endless feud. Both could try to recruit Batman to their cause to tip the scale to their side, which would work especially well if Batman has already defeated at least one of them in the past.
I agree with everything, but this is a guilty pleasure of mine. It's a nice movie to watch when you don't want to watch something deep or complex. It has nice visuals and vampire Joker is just awesome. I also love that Peter Stormare is the voice of Dracula! Unfortunatly he didn't get the chance to be as crazy as only he can be. Ps. I don't think Batman needed the mirror to figure out that Alucard is Dracula backwards, I think he did it to show it to Alfred and the audience. That's my interpretation anyway
I was the target audience for this movie when it came out, I was in the 5-7 age range, and they definitely had to explain that for us kiddos at the time haha Edit: We did already know he was Dracula so the name reveal was kinda pointless
A good vampire batman would be the Justice League: Gods and monsters adaptation, where Kirk Langstrom infects himself with a bat dna mixture to cure his cancer but instead becomes a vampirr
I love you so much. As a Dracula fan (of the deepest - I sincerely despised the NBC show but adored the new Castlevania- variety) I am grateful you acknowledged his wolf and mist transformations that everyone seems to forget about. Your reviews never let me down. And I think flying Foxes are adorable too. :-) And yes, you're absolutely right. Pop culture has people believe Dracula to be the king of the vampires but this isn't suggested at all in the original novel. And I'm so glad you casually address this. In fact the first time I can recall him being called the king of his kind is the 1979 Dracula with Frank Langella. It might be earlier but that's the first time I can recall the character himself calling himself it (I love that one despite it's deviations from the novel).
I think this movie is actually pretty enjoyable... if you aren't reading too much into it. I like seeing a dark story in the Batman and it was just a really good straightforward adventure movie with beautify done animation. This review does remind me of the rejected Batman The Animated Series episode where Batman would have faced the vampiress Nocturna, it was rejected by the network because the vampire would have been deemed too traumatizing for kids (especially since in the story Batman would become a vampire and crave blood). There is even a character model Bruce Timm drew of her. If only they'd release the script or adapt it into a lost episode special.
I saw this film like a step away from the more kid-friendly aspects of the show. There's actual blood and guns in the movie! That Joker "shower of blood" thing freaked me out as a kid. Knowing next to zilch about vampires, I didn't really see the problems with this Dracula until you pointed them out. His motivations are rather confusing and odd. Like, it feels like they just wanted to make sure Dracula the most vampirest vampire that ever existed, that it didn't even matter if it made sense to the plot. They could've made a more interesting parallel between him and Batman other than just "bats". I'm really glad you reviewed this film. I really liked The Batman when I was younger (those sweet "S01E08 Part 1/3" days), but for me it didn't age too well. I still enjoyed it for what it was, but man were some of their directions weird. Also, having grown up with B:TAS, a lot of episodes felt like shallow rewrites of the 90's show. The later seasons were definitely not as great as the earlier ones, especially since they phased Yin and Carter out of the show.
The Batman is actually a pretty cool Batman series. The designs were a huge turnoff for me when it was first on, but after a Netflix watch I really enjoyed it. Getting rid of Ellen Yin for Batgirl and eventually Robin was a bit too safe for me And "The Batman" was also going to be the Affleck solo movie title
Yeah, I will always love the 1992 series but The Batman was unique in it's own way waiting until Season 3 to give us Batgirl and Robin and Season 5 to get to the Justice League.
I feel like when the Batman came out everyone hated it because it was so different. But now it seems like it's being appreciated for being so different. I feel like I enjoy the Batman cartoons for different reasons. I think the most underappreciated is definitely Batman the Brave and the Bold. It's the only Batman series that was mainly humor and lighthearted fun, but when it hit me in the feels it really connected.
Some of the reimagining worked really well, some didn't. I liked the Joker, Catwoman, The Riddler. What they did with Clayface was great. But they removed the nuance from characters like Mr Freeze and The Ventriloquist. Harley Quinn was just terrible. The removal of Yin sucked, and I didn't like when Batgirl got shelved for a rotating cameo list of Justice League members.

@Gola245 The Brave And The Bold is so criminally underrated that it's outrageous. I don't what it was that turned people away from it. Was it that it wasn't all about Batman or was it that it was more light hearted than most have used to when it comes to media featuring Batman. Either way it was fun series with plenty of other DC heroes teaming up with Batman and at same time getting more exposure outside comic books.
"I'm sorry, what did you say his name was?" "Alucard." "Alucard. That was his real name. Like his ACTUAL vampire name?" "Nono, his vampire name was Dracula." I would freaking love a movie or a series where everyone suspects that the Gothic loner or the handsome European or the brooding tough guy is the vampire, and it actually turns out to be Alan the used car salesman.
Hhhhh this one is such a guilty pleasure for me! Does it make sense? Of course not, it's a guilty pleasure, I think it's qualified that those don't make sense. Vampires are always awesome though, so when I saw this as a kid I just. Fell in love with it.
Sure I'm not the biggest vampire fan but I do like vampire aspects of this movie they just wanted to make Dracula more comic book like also I love those vampire stories that are them trying to blend in with humans
Will you ever take a look at "Shadow of the Bat!" episode of Brave and the Bold? It has a pretty... effective version of vampire Batman. One that utilizes the whole arsenal of vampire abilities, at least.
I suppose it makes sense why he looks so much younger though, he's barely even a few years into being the Batman, so we are watching the story of a very young Bruce wayne!
Suggested follow-up to this topic: There is a lot of Marvel Dracula. Of course, there's the 70's Tomb of Dracula, which I already assume would be on your radar, but I'm more interested in when he crosses over with the X-books. In the 80s, he had two separate encounters with the X-Men. The first of which was a straight up take on the classic Dracula narrative with Storm as the Lucy/Mina figure and a very young Kitty Pryde practically leaping into the Van Helsing role. Then in the 00's there is a delightfully bad X-Men/Dracula crossover story called Curse of the Mutants, in which Cyclops, with a straight face, tells Dracula to follow his heart.
There was also an alternate universe that takes off from that 80s story in which Dracula infects storm, she becoems a vampire (Aka Bloodstorm) who has all the Marvel Vampire powers and her weather control powers increased, she feeds from fellow x-men Forge to sate her hunger and not go evil. She was pretty scary and sexy at some time. and the Curse of Mutants storyline was cool, mostly for Blade and Wolverine's interaction and all the vampire variants of the comic issues (wolvreine looked scary as hell, X-23 was hot as was Emma Frost.) but I was pissed when Cyclops used his optic Blast on blade to stop him from killing Dracula.....I was like..."man fuck you cyclops)
ya, the 1990s had alot of charecters with Blood is their names. Young Blood, Blood Strike, Blood Shot, Blood Syndicate, 2 of these were made by RobLiefeld....who is not an artist.
Imagine if we would've had Batman vs Dracula had came out in the 90s Dracula probably would have been a lot more terrifying & creepier starting out and Transylvania
Dini and Timm had a vampire story planned for TAS but the censors wouldn't allow it since blood would be shown plus mysticism. The plot involved Nocturna turning Batman into a vampire and him having to fight her Brotherhood of the Night, staking her just before the change became permanent.
I gotta say I just fucking love your writing and the way you play the persona, constantly dancing on the line between sarcastic and just full on camp!

I preffer this movie over the comic book. The comic tries to explore the ramifications of Batman becoming a vampire but unfortunately it's so 90s that kinda misses the mark for me. For starters Dracula in the comic is barely a step up from Dracula in Blade Trinity while in the cartoon what lacks in motivations has it strong in characterization. Also the relationship between Batman and Dracula is way more interesting in the movie. Dracula is a force of nature, an example of what Batman could be if he gives in, not only if he literally becomes a vampire but if he left himself loose from his restrains, if he forgets his code. So the fight between Batman and Dracula is more than just a bat-bowl. It's externalizing the inner conflict in Bruce. Batman represents his humanity while Dracula represents raw power. And that's how he wins at the end: not by beating him in a fight but by using his own will and intellect. The comic sorta presents this conflict too but it does it in a more traditional and, to me, less interesting way. It shows Batman giving in and having to deal with the inner struggle of his power vs his humanity, which is not inherently bad but the way is written is so bland in ways only comics in the 90s could be. Plus the movie has Vampire Joker. That beats everything.
Batman also turns up in the New 52 I, Vampire series - my personal favourite New 52 comic. Mary, Queen of Blood is DC's coolest and most underrated villain!
just in defense of The Batman, acctually the first and part of the second season, are acctually darker, but the series goes on they decided to make more childish,a little bit when bat girl enter the scene and a lot a after Robin enter the show, the cartoon became more silly with a few darker moments.......
Since Dracula has a affinity for women, I think it might've been more interesting if he tried to hypnotize the female members of Batman's Rogue's Gallery
What you have to remember about this incarnation of the show is that it isn't character based, but action based. The character moments in the series make them just interesting enough to want to see them succeed or lose, depending on the character. The drama from the event or action based story comes from seeing how a character deals with the situation using the skills and materials they already have. As for why it was okay to kill Dracula and not Joker or the other vampires: Dracula revels in being a vampire and the gifts it offers regardless of what is given up. You could assume he chose this life but the victims in this story did not and were under his control to a point. So Batman had to cure them while Dracula is a paranormal horror and easy to wipe out, just like the horrors he's fought alongside Etrigan.
I remember Batman's quote when he finishes him off. "I'm the Batman..And you're dust!". You don't fuck with Batman, even if you're a bloodsucking monster or a flying being from another world
That Dracula in this movie had enough magical power to try to steal souls and resurrect the dead is...fine with me. It was always left implied in Stoker source material that Dracula was a sorcerer, and may have become vampyr through his studies into black magic. So him having access to sorcery in this film doesn't bother me. What bothers me is how little this aspect of Dracula's lore is explored. Did they even establish that he had magic before he started his ritual? It's especially disappointing, since Dracula being an undead sorcerer could have added an extra layer of parallel and contrast with Batman. Batman - especially The Batman in this universe - is a human who transcends his mortal shortcomings through training and technology; in essence, the quintessential Human Being. Dracula, meanwhile, dabbled in the mystic arts, eventually using it to abandon his humanity. There could even have been a philosophical discussion between them that blurred the lines between Science and Mysticism; Batman pointing out that sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, while Dracula muses that, in his day, Natural Philosophy - the medieval word for Science - included mystical ideas in its assumptions about how the universe worked. And in the end, it's this revelation - that Drac is an occult scientist, whose methods are just not understood - that would lead to Batman finding counters to Dracula's methods in his own technology. Instead, the vampires are basically made wholly scientific in the traditional sense, with Batman finding a biological cure. Vampire powers just come from physical enhancements, rather than Dracula's abilities arising from his years of studying the occult. Except occult powers are also demonstrated to exist because Dracula performs a ritual and tries to suck out someone's soul. It's a very confused film, that doesn't explore the implications that it raises. Which is a shame, since the dynamic between Batman and Dracula - two figures who are so alike and yet so diametrically opposed, yet also so intertwined in their differences - could have been very interesting, and made the narrative stronger.
I've always read Dracula going out to the party at Wayne's manor being an attempt on his part to 'stake out' modern era living and what he can expect. After all, back in the day, the elite were the people who had the most security, the strongest body guards, and were often very closely linked to the church, which gave them an edge against vampires. Though there's also an idea I thought of recently, which is that Dracula wants to pick off the poor first, then go after the elite, since the more popular figure heads would be more noticeable. So him mingling may be his way of playing with his food, or luring them into a false sense of security before striking.
I kind of assumed The Batman did try to be dark instead of cartoonish which is more of brave & bold's thing .-. I mean, it did have thing with rogue gallery being more monstrous looking than in other series.(mr. freeze for example. Heck, he is same as manbat in that The Batman's version of villains tend to be more evil without reason than sympathetic) Though yeah you can easily make argument that its childish understanding of dark
Will you be doing a review of Justice League Monsters? It's an else world movie by Bruce Timm where Batman is a vampire Langstrom instead of Bruce Wayne
Btas has several shapeshifters, including but not limited to, werewolves, weretigers, biological clay, plants, werebat, werecrocodile, etc. So. WEREWOLF DOMINATION!
The guy who voices Dracula I'm almost certain also did the voice of Isair from Icewind Dale 2. He's always been one of my favourite voice actors since then.
I'd really like to see an episode exploring the lives of the actors who've portrayed dracula on the big screen and how it's impacted their careers/lives
You know what would be an interesting Batman vs Dracula story? A mystery where someone is turning the people of Gotham into vampires and Batman has to find out who. Dracula seems more like a shadowy puppetmaster than someone who would get down and dirty. And it'd be a great opportunity to showcase Batman's detective skills. And the villains who get turned (or who have their own agenda) can be the figures Batman fights. To make it even more personal for him, someone he cares about is getting turned and he has to find Dracula before their transformation is complete.
I think this movies only purpose was to give us vampire joker. I've seen this flick and it is still terrifying to this day to see the clown as a vampire, especially when he's enjoying that blood shower
I just discovered your series the other day (and through it the Carmilla web series, thanks!) love all the videos I've watched so far including this one... but that Tomb of Dracula crossover you briefly showed that "no one remembers," that's because it doesn't exist. The Super-Team family, is a blog that comes up with covers to fantasy crossover comics that they think would be cool, but never made. In this case having Batman meet Marvel's version of Dracula.
Yeah, I realized too late that my attempt at that joke was really unclear and fell flat. I should have included this other fake movie reference too to make it more balanced with the fan nonsense concept stuff: i.pinimg.com/originals/36/e2/7f/36e27f19aa3922258e3bbbee590d8c08.jpg And also Andy Warhol's Batman Dracula, total unlicensed fanfiction. So cracky!
Was so excited to see this video come up in suggestions. I have a huge soft spot for this movie, but I will 100% agree that it's pretty much only for the few scenes with the Joker. Kevin Michael Richardson is, despite the regrettably weak material he often has to work with, one of my favorite Joker actors.
2:08 Oh yes, *this* is how I want remember Batman; frightening dark knight with gadgets of James Bond, intelligence of Sherlock Holmes, and stamina and fighting skills of Chuck Norris.
Id argue that batman already has a dracula figure..ras'al goul..he is more or less dracula without the bat iconography (unless you ignore the demon images i guess) and blood drinking. But the whole old rich man with a tragic love related back story, inmortality, organized "clan" although he is special amongst his own, and so on. I guess if you cross ras with man-bat you get dracula :-P
4:30 -- Yeah, a Ra's al Ghul episode of B:TAS revolving around an Egyptian mummy princess hunt ended a gooey Lovecraft monster, and all the fans -- and some of the writers, they later admitted -- were kinda like "Wha--!"
The "Crimson Mist" trilogy of Elseworlds comics is honestly alot better since it involves Dracula's daughter leading a rouge coven of vampires to fight Dracula and Bruce allowing her to bite him so that he can gain the strength needed to confront Dracula who ultimately bites Batman as he dies from being staked and turning him into a full vampire and in the second comic series we even get a werewolf Catwoman but for what this movie is it's not a bad story and something to watch around Halloween.
I almost forgot! I recently started playing an Otome ("maiden") game called "Blood in Roses" from the "Shall we date?" series by NTT Solmare. In case you don't know, these games let you pursue a love interest of your choice, and provide different endings based on your in-game decisions, and at least 2 of the love interests you can choose from are vampires! I haven't played their routes yet, but the game is fun, if you would ever want to play it or do a different kind of review :D
I mean, if his plan was to turn all of Gotham elite in his minions, it would make sense. But except for Joker (for some reason), all the people he transforms seems to become animalistic. Unless he willingly can choose who he turns into an intelligent vampire, this also wouldn't make sense.
the first two books in european history that are a serious discussion of the vampire myth are by augustine calmet of 1722 and by montague summers, in the first decade of the 20'th century. they are really suited to your review of them.
I was actually pleasantly surprised by The Batman vs Dracula. It was very dark in some places. Great video. I recommend Hellboy: Blood and Iron. Hellboy and the BPRD go up against a vampire...,a female vampire :)
I'm pretty sure this movie was just meant to like you know make a comic books version of Dracula like actual comic bookie you know what I mean obviously I love Batman the animated series but if you stay stuck in that hole you'll never look for someone new
I know its not a movie or anything (and not on patreon) but it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on Mayong Mistmoore from the Everquest games. A vampire that may be an ancient elf making a deal with the gods, eventually outsmarting them and through sience and his own will actually turning into a god himself, claiming the realm of the sun for himself battling its god himself...and was it not for the players..he would have won and doomed the world to eternal darkness. Heck his history with his fiance Tzerrina is fairly interesting. Her own experiments corruping her when he attempted to turn her before their wedding, turning her into a horrific monster..which he then mercilessly leaves at the altar and locks in a tower, having her go mad and being trapped in the memory of her wedding day forever. His mystery is one of the binding things of those games xD we know almost nothing about him, yet to me he is one of the most interesting charecters, and quite different than other dracula ish figures ive seen :-/
This wasn't the first time Batman fought/met Dracula in film, there were two other movies:Batman Dracula(1964) and Batman fought Dracula(1967). They weren't official DC movies but still. Batman: Dracula was directed by Andy Warhol.
I actually grew up with The Batman, and only discovered BTAS when I was older, so I'll always have a special place in my heart for it :D and The Batman was a pretty decent show, all things considered. The Clayface arc was really good, certainly amongst the best this show had to offer.
In my cause, it went vice versa. I love both representations of Batman. ^^
The Batman was my favorite Batman show
I grew up with BTAS and still really enjoyed The Batman. Really enjoyed this movie to 🙂
For those of you who've not made the connection before, The Batman used the same animation style (and executive producers) as Jackie Chan Adventures.
Funnily enough Jackie Chan Adventures also had an episode with vampires, though in his case it was a Jiang-Shi
Athavan Rajasingham wasn't that the episode when Jade became the Queen of the demon ninjas?
Lord Sathien I've never knew that
And the Men in Black cartoon series....
vampire Joker?................... yes. VERY YES
That does sound good also scary as all get out.
It’s as awesome as it is terrifying!
Definitely a Malkavian a la VtM.
and I love how Dracula in this movie looks like an unused model for Ras Al Ghul....now that would be awesome
Ras Al Ghul vs Dracula....The Demon's head vs the Son of the Dragon (or son of the Devil)

I'm 💯 % in support of that story being made. As soon as possible.
Having Watched both Batman TAS and "The Batman" I thought Batman TAS was AWESOME and "The Batman" was unique in it's own way and I found it enjoyable
Yes! "The Batman" was a great series.
It was a nice series
The Joker as a vampire... It's okay... I didn't really need to sleep ever again anyway.
I thought it was funny
1987MartinT you think that’s bad how about a jokerized shredder from TMNT
When I was a kid and saw this movie I seriously had nightmares for a month from that one scene alone
@@alexandersmith7061 Seeing the waiter get attacked by Dracula is what scared the sh*t out of me in my youth.

I believe it is also a reference to a similar scene in the old Universal movies. I think Son of Dracula.
A good vampire batman would be the Justice League: Gods and monsters adaptation, where Kirk Langstrom infects himself with a bat dna mixture to cure his cancer but instead becomes a vampirr
Maeve Doyle I love that version of Batman, he's awesome and a really interesting character.
That movie was fucking awesome, and I still wish it had spun-off to a tv series.
Kefka Palazzo The batman was a tv show xD
I'm talking about Gods and Monsters, which was a movie in an alternate universe.
When langstrom actually becomes batman
Always kinda had a crush on Maven, being that she's beautiful, funny, and smart. Glad to see shes still at the reviewing game.
One of the most badass Batman animated movies
Thank you.I've watched it at least several times.

He was supposed to be a young Bruce Wayne. The series starts with him being 26 and having been Batman for only 2 years.
I suppose it makes sense why he looks so much younger though, he's barely even a few years into being the Batman, so we are watching the story of a very young Bruce wayne!
His supposed to be younger because his just started to be the batman
Suggested follow-up to this topic: There is a lot of Marvel Dracula. Of course, there's the 70's Tomb of Dracula, which I already assume would be on your radar, but I'm more interested in when he crosses over with the X-books. In the 80s, he had two separate encounters with the X-Men. The first of which was a straight up take on the classic Dracula narrative with Storm as the Lucy/Mina figure and a very young Kitty Pryde practically leaping into the Van Helsing role. Then in the 00's there is a delightfully bad X-Men/Dracula crossover story called Curse of the Mutants, in which Cyclops, with a straight face, tells Dracula to follow his heart.
don't forget Deadpool: Draculas gauntlet! Which is as awesome as it sounds
Bloodstorm-- the most 90s name that ever happened.
Wasn't Kitty also her thrall in that timeline, too?
ya, the 1990s had alot of charecters with Blood is their names.
Young Blood, Blood Strike, Blood Shot, Blood Syndicate,
2 of these were made by RobLiefeld....who is not an artist.
She has such great taste. Love that she's a Batman fan and is familiar with the greatness that is the Batman Animated Series.
I've always thought bat wings were cuter than bird wings.
Also, Dracula is ALREADY DEAD, despite obstreperous claims of being "undead".
BOY Drac looks JUST like Ra's here.
No fight here. BtAS is awesome.
I actually kind of love this movie, especially Vampire Joker.
I remember Batman's quote when he finishes him off. "I'm the Batman..And you're dust!". You don't fuck with Batman, even if you're a bloodsucking monster or a flying being from another world
The Batman series was a decent reboot.
Batman: WHERE'S DRACULA!?
Joker:..I'm looking at him o_O
lol
this movie is fun
but the batman comic where he become vampire is a lot more interesting
ryan bell and Catwoman becomes a bagheera.
Will you be doing a review of The Countess from American Horror Story Hotel?
This video was uploaded on my birthday ^w^
I love your channel why is this so underrated?
Big fan of this show and character, and this movie was pretty cool in my opinion.
How can I fight you when I agree with you? Batman TAS is what literally got me into super heroes and fandom in general.
After watching a number of your videos... I love your style! Beautiful.
Tara Strong/Harley Quinn played Vicki Vale.
This movie was actually my first exposure to the concept of Vampires. Other than halloween decorations and costumes.
Jesus H. Christ. I remember Vampire Joker scaring the apple juice piss out of me as a kid!
I should have included this other fake movie reference too to make it more balanced with the fan nonsense concept stuff: i.pinimg.com/originals/36/e2/7f/36e27f19aa3922258e3bbbee590d8c08.jpg
And also Andy Warhol's Batman Dracula, total unlicensed fanfiction.
Little bats!Soooo cute!
Did "The Batman" ever do a R'as al Ghul storyline? Because Drac was projecting a lot of that vibe in this film.
The Batman is an incredibly underrated show, and I feel this movie was amazing
Haha, that ending. Nothing like a quick Phantom reference from Elisa. Her other love, second only to vampires! :)
Showed up in my feed after I watched 8 Bobsheaux comic reviews in a row. I think I've found my niche.
The Real Ghostbusters did some interesting things with Vampires you should take a look at those episodes too.
2:08 Oh yes, *this* is how I want remember Batman; frightening dark knight with gadgets of James Bond, intelligence of Sherlock Holmes, and stamina and fighting skills of Chuck Norris.
I'd love it if Warner Brothers made an animated adaptation of the Batman/Dracula comic trilogy.
21:00 So Batman also became the Phantom of the Opera at some point?
Now I wanna see a crossover with Linkara to do vampire Batman.
I wish the Kevin Conroy Batman was used for this idea. The closet Kevin Conroy did was when he went against Man-bat.
Would love it Maven reviewed the Red Rain, Bloodstorm and Crimson Mist trilogy of Batman comics... Now there was a Batman meets Vampires story...
Joker is malkavian and you know it say it
I'd say more Malkavian antitribu
Joker makes malkavians look like puppies.
l0stndamned true.
Canal GXZ that is also true.
Does that mean Jared Leto is a fishmalk?
4:30 -- Yeah, a Ra's al Ghul episode of B:TAS revolving around an Egyptian mummy princess hunt ended a gooey Lovecraft monster, and all the fans -- and some of the writers, they later admitted -- were kinda like "Wha--!"
I love your Wolfsbane reference, not alot of people know about her and X-factor.
Totally agree with you on Batman The Animated Series. Best Batman period.
the first two books in european history that are a serious discussion of the vampire myth are by augustine calmet of 1722 and by montague summers, in the first decade of the 20'th century. they are really suited to your review of them.
I was actually pleasantly surprised by The Batman vs Dracula. It was very dark in some places. Great video. I recommend Hellboy: Blood and Iron. Hellboy and the BPRD go up against a vampire...,a female vampire :)
I love this movie. Vampire Joker is still one of the greatest Jokers ever.
Yay you're back! I missed your reviews
I love this "there's only room in this town for one bat" motif. Like what ????? His name is Man-Bat?????? Who came up with this ????? A child ?????
This is why I love your channel
Did you just reference Timber Wolf??? \o/
WOW! You actually know what you're talking about Batman-wise. This is a sub from me.
This wasn't the first time Batman fought/met Dracula in film, there were two other movies:Batman Dracula(1964) and Batman fought Dracula(1967). They weren't official DC movies but still. Batman: Dracula was directed by Andy Warhol.
"You cannot outbat me". I think what he meant was "You cannot BATtle me!"
One can only wonder what Bruce Timm would have done with this concept. Maybe an adaptation of Red Rain. Ah, well.
it's funny how peter stormare voices dracula here, considering he'd later voice another vampire in season 2 of castlevania
You should do a video about the creation of the Comics Code Authority in the 50s that outlawed vampires and other monsters.
