What an amazing memory you have, Gert. Remembering all those passages of complicated works takes an astounding amount of concentration and brain power. Your renditions are *alive* and literally jump out at your audience. Congratulations and I wish you great success with your new CD.
@@capacityplus I am not a religious fanatic, at all. I don't go to church. But I know God and Jesus profoundly. I could never say this about anyone unless I truly perceived it. But Gert has been blessed by God. Further, I believe it was no coincidence that as soon as Gert started playing (for the very first time on that new, foreign instrument) God shined the light of the Sun on him. And did you see Gert's reaction. The two were in joined in mutual elation.
This video is a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing the process of making the recording. You are surrounded by good people who love you and know your special gifts. But we too, appreciate your life and work and the beauty you are able to create.

Die gelukzalige blik van Gert toen hij recht voor dat beestachtig grote orgel zat. Geweldig om te zien! Ook heel leuk om te zien was de samenwerking tussen Gert en Jan. Samen overleggen over de beste combinaties om het stuk uit te voeren. Volgens mij brengt Jan het beste in Gert naar boven. Een soort sidekick! Uiteraard schaf ik ook de CD aan.

gertrw lijkt mij best bijzonder om je eigen werk te kunnen laten afspelen door het orgel terwijl je zelf midden in de kerkzaal kan zitten luisteren :-)
Young Dutch bach on the organ. Je doet het met veel plezier spelen. Je kunt ook van de traditionele muziek afweiken dat vindt ik zo goed. Improvisatie is ook mooi wat je doet en muziek van vandaag de dag kan je ook best op een groot kerk orgel spelen. Laatst hoorde ik ook nog op orgel grace jones nummers

Jazeker. Overdag hebben we de stukken ingespeeld en 's nachts in alle stilte afgespeeld.
