as cypher main, I've only a thing to say: this video has my thumb up, but it's an angry thumb up
Sage's kit is NOT good value. The slow orb is 200 creds each for being very useless and the sage wall is 400 just to be prefired at the start of the round. Even if you win pistol round you need to save for the next 1 to 3 rounds depending on wins. Also Sova ult should be 7 ult points.

@@vizdrom Sage's whole point is to stall pushes. That's why she's a sentinel. The slow orb is actually VERY strong for this, especially when combined with a molly. Same thing with the wall. If you hear a bunch of guns spraying the wall, then that's fantastic info that there are a lot of enemies in the area with the wall.
Not to mention how the wall is extremely good for planting spike and covering post-plant. Take A site on Split, for instance. You can throw a wall into Elbow and completely shut it down unless your enemies want to break through 4 entire wall segments.
Plus you can boost up to crazy off-angles with the sage wall (one common one being boosting up to the windows in B main on Ascent).

Heres a fun fact, Omen’s Paranoia (Q, Blind) can adjust speeds depending on your movement. If you stand still it goes a normal pace speed. If you are running forward it goes way faster. If you walk backwards- it goes way slower

As a cypher main/breach main, His trip is great for countering neon and jett and even if they shoot it you still get info.
Teamates shoot trap when triggered or raze breaks trips or sova drone, skye dog etc. Chamber slow isolates jett dashing through cutting off support from the team
@@rrrrre2905 Yeah I think chambers slow is maybe a little bit better but Cyphers trips are better than KJ's because he has 2 while she has 1 alarmbot.
@@rrrrre2905 if you place the trips at waist level or a little bit higher, trips wont be triggered. Free flankguard for attackers like ascent on B, even if they shoot it, great info for 200g at post-plant situations

i think i disagree on viper needing lineups to be played well. i think if you want to push to her fullest potential then yes lineups are great but she is still good even without lineups. its easy to aim the snakebite and the smoke can be used well still
Yea lineups are not needed like you can remember them but don't rely on them too much imo all the lineups just stop u from playing an agent on it's full potential (like u said)
imo it’s like saying u need brim lineups to be good with it lmao . and no one does . viper just got a rep for lineups and iron players who don’t know what a flank is think it’s impossible to stop 😂. most of the time stupid low elo vipers just plant the bomb and run immediately to do lineups and let their whole team die on site and then get ran down bc so much time left 😂
There is this one viper main, where in post-plant he just do lineups where he throws snakebites almost everywhere from anywhere on the map. Its insane.
lineups? just need to know the audible circle on minimap is exactly the distance a snakebite travels when shooting to the sky while pressing w... easy
i used to be a viper main and i can definitely say that u dont need it. She’s strong in post plants because of lineups but people forgets that it’s not even her strongest aspect
Cypher's Trip and Cam are in a Good spot I think, the Ult deserves one Tier more imo it's fine though, but the Cage is mussplaced it's one of the fastest Smokes in the Game, by far the best to create one-ways with and obviously has the sound when someone walks in, it's also very versatile.
the cage give Cypher some entry ability which other sentinels don't have besides Sage wall, which more expensive and worse for that function in most places
I'm a Cypher main but I think he's by far the worst sentinel atm.
He's not unplayable, he just the worst sentinel ,which kinda makes the sentinel class the best if cypher is the worst agent.

@@dabreadman9677 honestly a tracking dart can work too, and just for the same as his dart when he hits you with his camera, you can remove the tracking dart so its not overpowered.
Not a dart that pings like forever, but 3 pings would be enough like the sova drone's dart. Honestly, increasing the number of pings isn't a good idea either because if there are like 4 enemies alive, it would be so overwhelming to keep track of them.

@@shivanngpuri I think Cypher's ult is one of the biggest "Information Network" abilities that makes info agents like him so fun. I think the regular tracking dart that his camera shoots can work, as the enemies can just remove it. It may be too much pressure if an enemy is being attacked, but with all the counters to Cypher's util (Like Raze, cause like all of her abilities break Cypher's util) it feels like a needed buff.
23:14 the Phoenix wall actually heals the same as the hot hands, the wall just heals slower since it lasts longer (both heal for 50 total hp)
Cypher cage is a little underrated here.
It's smoke is on activation so you can set it up beforehand for instant use.
It makes a sound when enemies pass through it.
It extends below just as far as above allowing for some creative entries.
It creates quite a number of good one-ways.
It's very versatile when used for entry or to block of sightlines.
It's one of the fastest smokes in the game.

It's activatable with your cam.
(oh and it just works really well with the trips)
The moment someone step on a trip, cage come out, it's over for them.

The sheer fact that with Omen ult you can rotate to a vacant site and can retrieve a lost spike and plant makes it automatically better than Cypher's ult. It's a decent skill, very situational and difficult to use it with a huge success, but it's not useless.
As an omen main, you have my respect
I think brim stim should be a tier higher, if your thinking about the things they added you'd just think that "oh a movespeed buff isn't all that much". However, it can buff the whole team, meaning faster pushes, rotates, and retakes.
and it can also be stacked with other agents buffs (KAY/O's ult, Reyna's ult, Neon's High Gear), the stim is busted

For me, kay/o ult is goated, literally free entry when attacking. Seeing ascend use kay/o, ult made his ult very useful even in pro play.
EXACTLY, yeah people can see you, but if they are smart they probably won’t peak without until against an overcharged enemy, AND your teammates are most likely with you. Easy goated tier

As a raze main, I completely agree with the placement of satchels, because a first time Raz, without seeing how other rpoeple use it would even touch it, but it's value for someone with experience it's amazing

As a viper main, id say her smoke orb has great value at least. Defensively, its the most powerful smoke since u lose health and its not hollow. You can make one ways not possible with other smokers. On attack, you can throw aggresive smokes to clear areas and move it very easily. You can move very dynamically with it and can pop it faster than any other smoker. I would rather have poison orb than any other ability of hers.
Even above wall? Wall is gamechanging in split breeze and icebox it covers so many angles
@@ollierobinson2956 theyre both great value. Wall is of course essential in some maps, but that’s mostly dependent on map design. In a vacuum, the fact that you cant move it and have to wait 8 seconds makes it less valuable than the orb imo. Btw picking up the orb resets the timer

As a Cypher main back during the beta and eventually having to drop him.. it pains me how neglected he is and how little he offers compared to the other sentinels. Killjoy's release especially just tore him apart.

eventhough i dont like the fact that almost all of my main agent's abilities are ranked further down than i'd like to see them, i do agree with this tear list because viewed on the overall scheme i presume that eggwick represented an exprecienced neutral position in which he took as much factors into consideration as possible and still make a fair judgement
I have some cypher rework ideas.
Tripwire - make it so you have to be really close to see it and make it more quieter and the stun u can get stun faster or always get stun after you destroyed it.
Cage - make it last longer slows enemy for a tiny bit
Camera - make it half invisible until it shots the dart or make the dart like sova drone dart where it pings them 2 times and its gone.
Ult- kinda like sova's dart it reveals them but only once so you know where they are going and it also shows their gun, health and abilities cooldown or what abilities they have.
Its a bit much but if atleast he could compete with other sentinels also since yoru got a story how he got a rework cypher rework story should be that fade helps him make his utility stronger since fade is a hacker because she hack valorant protocol. Thats all i got to say byee~
that kinda much, if tripwire always stuns after destroyed it would be op, like almost a free kill if they go through an entrance, and cage(smoke with slow) is op, and ult displaying that much info would be hard to put on screen.

I’ve always loved Cypher. I can’t use exotic abilities for the life of me nor can I rely on teammates for callouts and info, so I rely on the pure information gathering ability that is Cypher’s cams, ult, and trips since my aim is pretty good for my rank.
EXACTLY, this comment here sums up my stance perfectly. the only complaint i have is that his ult could last a little longer, meaning we get like 3 "updates" at least on the map, like sova's ability
Feel the same way about him. Cypher kind of allows you to play freely. You can contribute to your team without having to constantly be with them in battle. You get to annoy and intimidate enemies. It helps very much if you are not especially good at gunplay.
Like the other commenter pointed out, his ult is too weak. The idea of it is VERY COOL, but it doesn't even track them as long as a broken tripwire does.

I love how the only times I used omen's ult I got 4k's off the back of it. And that was before they made it quieter
When it comes to low elo players (like me), a Yoru Clone can sometimes fool players as they may think that the Yoru has a bad device and is suffering from keyboard delay and hence, he can't help running towards us. (As a person who suffered from horrific keyboard delay earlier before fixing it, this is relatable in a different way) 😂🤣
Yorus clone is still op in high elos like one time i ran like the clone, they didnt shoot me and i had an ez ace
as, idk I think it was tarik, said, I actually think stim beacon was pretty underrated, of course, it was not a good ability by any means, but with a phantom in your hand in a close range fight, you just throw your stim and you get a huge firing speed advantage, making it way easier to both spray and to get headshots before your enemy gets them. It is just a nice buff that you can use in duels, now its extremly in my opinion somewhere between good and great value, since it buffs your team by so much. The speed is insane and so nice to play with as a team.
people that like to use vandal and go for burst fire (two bullets max) tend to not like the fire rate buff as it messes up the timing of shooting and recoil reset, making it harder to shoot at mid and long distances. The buff makes you spray more and with the vandal is just not very reliable on most cases.
@@pedrorezende4873 yeah but then just ads on long range and tap not spray. Also, it allows for better burst since yeah, it messes up timings, but just learn to control it. As a person who used to play reyna very often if I had to fill duelist, and like going vandal on reyna, in the ult the stim beacon buff makes bursting not that much harder, and if I go and take long range fights, I ads and go for onetaps. But whatever, if you dont like the brim stim buff, then just go play guardian, it has a similar playstyle to the vandal with no ability to spray, but with a better ads.

The k/o ults it's kinda OP tho you can give info and pressure to the enemies + buff on yourself firing speed, getting revive by team...

I can't help but agree with the current state of the Omen TP, as a main myself I gotta say the new update is great for the speed but the targeting went down the shitter in the process and I've screwed up teleports way more than I did before. I really hope they fix the tracking with the TP soon.
The great thing about Brim's Ult, probably the only real redeeming quality of Brimstone as a Controller, is that it is the best area denial in the game. No one can just stand there and take it.
Before I start I realize this is a heavily opinionated tierlist and my opinions are also heavily biased, I have no hate towards eggwick but I just have a lot of different opinions. Instead of reading this whole thing you could just read parts of it and if you disagree or agree but for another reason say it in the reply's would love to see if there is something I missed.
8:00 it is not better than a cypher trip, it needs vision to trigger so unless you have both set up in the same spot a omen a jett a viper a cypher and a few others can avoid it while flanking MAYBE making a little bit of noise to the other team. Cypher trips are way better.
9:40 chamber tp is not goated unless they are a chamber main everyone plat and under do not know how to use this ability properly, I would give it great value but that is only because it is a almost guaranteed get out of jail free card.
10:30 I can see cypher trips tying with chamber trips but not below by any means. Cypher trips stay active as long as you are alive and there are very few abilities that allow you to get past them without destroying the trip (most of them fairly loud i.e jett updraft chamber tp omen tp and a few others but while the cypher trip might not actually slow them down it gives you better info and when it does tag them you can usually get a fairly free kill with it while both chamber and kj trips don't ping the target. He is the 2nd best info character for a reason. (arguably the best but for the sake of all the people who are wrong/how much easier it is to play off of sova info I will say he is second best.)
13:05 ok clearly eggwick and a lot of his community don't realize how good cypher ult is. Arguably one of the best ults in higher levels of play and if it is used on the first kill you get it can catch people fast rotating 4 stacking allowing someone to fast flank, it makes it so your teammates have way less corners to clear, it can sometimes give you a free kill if someone is hiding in a corner. It deserves at least good. (I don't even main cypher anymore but his utility as a whole is solid easy to play off of and arguably one of the best sentinel's to solo queue as, Chamber is reliant on his skills kj is reliant on her gun skills/teammates getting onto site and sage is decently reliant still on her teammates to get onto site. Cypher has smokes he has flank hold, he is solid on both offense and defense, his ult makes sure that your teammates make fewer mistakes. I will not say he is the best agent in the game but he is really solid.

10:50 forgot about breach aftershock again the easiest counter to kj ult in the game. I will say though it is probably great value. 20:30 It is trash higher elos pretty bad mid tier elos and great value in lower tier elos so in conclusion. It's garbage.

25:30 Ok eggwick confirmed it for me, this is a VERY biased tier list, yes raze grenade is good but once again it can be used incorrectly by a lot of people, While there are situations in which it is good finding those situations and actually USING the grenade is fairly rare for anything below diamond. Would give it great value at best good at least.
25:48 I would say reyna flash is good, there is counterplay to a reyna flash and it is rare that you see a reyna flash up high or down low in a lot of the lower elo's.
29:40 hot take, Skye's flash is goated in top 2% skye's flashe is great value in top 7% skye's flash is good in everywhere else. I would honestly just give it great value at best. I have only seen around 4 goated skye players since all of her buffs and nerfs.
30:05 Unless I am mistaken skye ult costs at least 1 more than cypher's ult but besides that they both have their ups and downs it doesn't actually get you immediate information unlike cypher's ult so it is a lot more situational, but you don't need a corpse for it, cypher pings all 4 while skye's only grabs 3, You can't misplay a cypher ult you can misplay a skye ult. I would put this at good/great value with cypher's ult.
30:40 The problem with comparing the recon bolt to the drone is that it is more of a 1 2 deal rather than a 1 or the other, sova's drone can be traded off of more easily it survives a few more hits, and it tag's someone for longer. It is slower to get all of the info it will get, it costs 400, it effectively covers less area and for the sova dart you don't NEED lineups, for example A site on icebox has a pretty easy sova dart that requires no prior experience. Not to mention with lineups it is just that much better. I think I would place both in great value but sova recon is better because it recharges and it is free.
31:10 while I will probably still agree with shock darts being good even without lineups they can still be used to clear corners/angels, definitely more of a good/great value rather than a good/decent for me.
32:00 I'll give my opions even if I agree with him since I am a viper main, First off I think the mollies are still good, I wish they had a damage increase at the very least that way they can be used to clear corners better, really frustrated with viper being a niche pick at best now. Heck with the brim/omen buffs I think if they had just touched viper's molley or just her smokes she would be in a fine position but for any 1 tricks this nerf is fairly brutal. Also can I just say that he uses lineups to boost the position of viper molley's but not sova shockdarts/recon??? what is up with that. Anyone but a viper main will know at most 1 molley per map and same with sova. Their shouldn't be a difference when they get compared.
32:35 Honestly I would say this still gets great value. While it is true you can't use it with the wall for a long period of time it still does it's job. It enables viper lineups to actually be good, you can still swoop peak, you can still do most of the lurking orb spots, it is good for holding choke points on defense. Overall great value ability.
33:00 I would actually put the viper wall at good. Sure it is necessary for a map like breeze and it helps with lurking/site takes but because of the nerf it lost a good chunk of it's value, especially on maps that viper doesn't do well on (i.e haven ascent split and bind, ) Though I am partial to a viper on bind/ascent/split but you really need a second controller/sage to really make full use of her utility which you don't always get. The wall for the most part requires team coordination which never happens in lower ranks and rarely happens in the mid and even higher ranks. Still fantastic for her kit I just wish they made the wall like a little bit thicker.
33:30 I would hesitantly put this in goated at least put it in great value. It very rarely works against the viper especially if they play it correctly, and there are viper ult lineups to boot and you usually only need to know 1 maybe 2 per map (more is just a bonus) Fairly hard to retake against a viper ult and that is when you already have a man advantage. I don't think there is a single ult that is better at clutching a attacker sided round, and on defense it is solid. (not to mention one of the few ults with only 2 to 3 counter plays at most levels.)
34:05 I would actually put this at good just because it creates bad habits, it is reliant on a few other parts of his kit, you can fail to trade off of it. In the right hands it is goated but there are VERY few people who have stuck around with yoru long enough to be already goated with his abilities.
34:22 Honestly it depends on the map, on a map like icebox it gives great value, and a few other maps that it is good on but I'll leave it at good.
34:35 thing to keep in mind that the second tp costs 200 but I will keep it at great value because it is just a solid ability and arguably the 2 kills for the recharge might've actually been a buff instead of a nerf.
34:45 As much as I hate to admit it I think yoru ult is goated, there are a lot of outplay moments, it is free info, being able to use his abilities inside the ult turns him into the best initiator. Just such a good ability. And it is rare for it to be misplayed since even if all you use it for is to get behind the enemy a lot of the time you can still get at least 1 to 2 kills with it.
That's it for my changes, there might've been a few things that I disagreed with but didn't comment on but the majority of the other abilities that I didn't comment on I more or less agreed with eggwick on.

I feel like Chambers trip is better than Cyphers imo, For example during the OpTic v Sen match OpTic used the chamber trip as a secondary player to hold chokes instead of having 1 player hookah on Bind they have 3 and let Chamber’s trip hold the choke, or for example they had a viper ult in showers 1 trip holding A short and the 2nd trip holding Lamps. They predicted a B play but Yay had a tp A and 1 B for a quick rotate, Yay tped and then rotated back to ct and Sentinels got Lamps control but OpTic already rotated and had 1 player flanking so they could contain Sentinels into this small area and spam util and pick them off. This wouldn’t have happened on Cypher because he is almost forced to play with his trips and Cyphers trips don’t have slow unlike Chambers. Chambers trips just allow for a bit more diverse play overall imo. But this is pro play and OpTic probably prepared with this strategy in mind.

Brim stim is very good since it is 100 cred each and they have so many benefits.
At high level play Chamber is the best character right now by far.

yeah is better because you are inv. but I dont think you are faster then regular dismiss. Her ult is still not very good because you need to get kills to get usage out of it, while most other ults you get some usage guaranteed most of the time
People underestimate the speed boost because it boosts confidence, and paired with the faster guns, it can secure pushes

the user of breach would find it harder to use than reyna flash, but as the enemies... i assure you, I HATE BREACH SO FUCKING MUCH.... give me 10 reyna, but pls no breach, his flash is the worst, cant be destroyed, its fast, and much more unpredictable

kay/o's ult is amazing since it deletes other ults in range in addition to giving you another life
neon's stun is goated its bounce has its own stun giving you two stun per one shot
For the KAY/O ult, yeah people can see you, but if they are smart they probably won’t peak without util against an overcharged enemy, AND your teammates are most likely with you. Also invalidates raze ult, chamber gun and ult, and neon ult, as well as stopping jett ult for a long time. Easy goated tier
im kay/o main, and i think many people kinda overestimating his ult, yes it disable many agents but bro it is giving enemies info and thats a big downfall of this ult, enemies gonna know you all gonna commit trough that site... it is very OP actually, but dont forget, in this game, A BULLET from vandal, can stop you... the best thing to avoid this is not giving info to your enemies where you are... and thats what exactly kay/o ult does, thats why the knife is better than the ult, its safer, flexible, and versatile (it gives u info, disabling enemies, and enemy dont rlly know where u r)
Jett knives should have been good because its very hard to aim while moving + not just horizontally but you gotta flick diagonally since you are in the air and it takes 3 knives to kill someone in full armor unless you tap the head. Its not really great value since most jett mains sacrifice getting 100 damage on the enemy and then dying

It's very easy to hit while moving. It's 100% accurate.
Cypher trip will get better after iso comes out, reducing that cool down and keeping it up.

As a Jett main, I can confidently claim that her dash is the most busted and best ability in the game. Pretty much her whole kit actually. Don’t like this fight? Dash away! Oh you thought you were gonna entry? 2 sec into the round you’ve been AWP’d and Jett is gone. Sova ult? Nah, she can fly. Chamber has a trip! I’ll just smoke that off…
(lower ranks dont have brains, so her kits for lr is bad 😂)

@@djinn4u I don’t think so. If you want to get out and go to a predetermined spot then sure, that one situation it is better to have a chamber TP. But Jetts is versatile and can be used on the fly, and it resets after two kills. It can also be used offensively to create space or close distance which Chamber’s TP can’t do. All around the dash is just better because it can do more

@@James-sm7kn there are definitely things you can do with the TP you can’t do with a dash. Like walk out down B Long on Bind and throw down the TP anchor. You can catch people on a crazy ass off angle they don’t expect by being halfway down Long. Lol it works really well with the operator
The one and only reaosn astra is not played as much in valorant is that we get too busy with playing around with the stars and the suck and shock thing that we forget that we even have to shoot. Her abilities are SO complicated, riot messed up in making her.
Cypher trapwires are the best. When an enemy gets hit by it, it get revealed and lock in place, and if they dont destroy it they get stun.
Ima just say as a yoru main I'm happy to see our abilities aren't all put in garbo now, also yoru ult is so good it's just a free kill or 2 with util and if you don't u can just get so much info
As a Phoenix main, it hurts that all of my abilites except the ult isn't above "good"

Cypher trap is goated because if u shoot it u get notified if u activate it the whole team knows and u can put it in positions where u need them

Jett smoke is actually great value if you use it right cuz you can block sova recon bolt so you sneak attack cuz if you destroy it sova will know so it’s very good
with omen's ult you can do some incredible plays, it is good if in the right hands, but it takes a while to learn to use it well
if they play slow and u get a kill on a lurker its perfect to know where they going or just with a brim or sova ult its pretty versatile
As a breach main breaches aftershock deserves goated it gives you free kills on anyone in a cubby but most importantly it’s the only or one of the only ways to stop a tunnel kj alt on fracture for only 200$ which usually gives that team all of site and 1-2 kills off rotaters
